OBJECTIVE:
Through the use of the categories of auditory performance (CAP-II), the speech, spatial and qualities of hearing scale-parents' version (SSQ-P), children using hearing implants quality of life (CuHI-QoL) in patients with prelingual hearing impairment to compare the rehabilitation effect between preoperative and postoperative auditory performance, speech behavior and quality of life and at the same time to figure out dose rehabilitation effect connected to age.
METHOD:
Mainly used classification method to compare the audotory performance, speech behavior and quality of life of 50 patients before and after 2.5 years after the implantation. At the same time these 50 patients are divided on the basis of the age received the surgery, A group received the surgery before 6(1.0-5.9) years old and group B received the therapy after this age (6.0-10.9). Their auditory performance, speech behavior and quality of life were all evaluated.
RESULT:
There were statistical difference between two kinds of classification method of CAP-II. In the study of SSQ-P and CuHI-QoL, there was no statistical difference in well-being and happiness before and 3 years after the implant, also there was no statistical difference in parental stress between two age groups. In addition to the above two, the rest all have statistical significance.
CONCLUSION
After the implant, postoperative auditory performance, speech behavior and quality of life all had improved and the smaller the age, the better the performance.

Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2008;31(18):1-4
Objective To explore the expression of 11-β hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase 2 (11-β HSD2) gene in placenta of pregnancy induced hypertension (PIH) complicated by intrauterine growth retardation (IUGR) and the relationship between different expression of 11-β HSD2 in placenta and newborn's birth weight or placental weight. Methods Thirteen cases of term pregnancy mothers with PIH complicated by IUGR were served as PIH complicated by IUGR group, 22 cases of term pregnancy mothers complicated by PHI with appropriate for gestational age (AGA) infant as PIH with AGA group and 36 cases of normal controls as control group. The mRNA expression level of 11-β HSD2 gene in placenta was evaluated by RT-PCR. The level of cord serum cortisol was detected by the method of chemiluminescence. Results The 11-β HSD2 gene mRNA was expressed in placenta. The mRNA expression level of 11-β HSD2 gene in PIH complicated by IUGR group's placenta was significantly lower (0.26±0.09) than that in PIH with AGA group (0.64±0.19) and control group (0.66±0.20). The level of cord serum cortisol in PIH complicated by IUGR group was significantly higher [(71.60±20.20)μg/L] than that in PIH with AGA group [(51.00±13.80)μg/L] and control group [(49.10±14.40)μg/L]. The newborn's birth weight and placental weight in PIH complicated by IUGR group was significantly lower than those in PIH with AGA group and control group. The mRNA expression level of 11-β HSD2 gene in placenta was positively correlated with the birth weight of their newborns and placental weight. Conclusion The lower mRNA expression level of 11-β HSD2 gene in placenta may contribute to the higher cortisol level in fetal of PIH complicated by IUGR and has a negative role on the fetal development.
4. Progress of application of tactile imaging to pelvic floor dysfunction
Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2020;40(5):671-673
Elastic imaging is a technique for converting the elastic modulus of soft tissues to real-time computer images. As one of the branches of elastic imaging, tactile imaging is distinguished by the feature of pressing directly against the surface of soft tissues. It is a mature option to diagnose diseases in urology, general surgery, gynecology and obstetrics. In recent years, tactile imaging, especially vaginal tactile imaging, has been used to evaluate female pelvic floor dysfunction diseases. This review is about tactile imaging and its application to the field of pelvic floor dysfunction.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2012;32(5):448-450
In view of the characteristics of different analgesic methods applied to nasal operation, the principle of point selection in acupuncture anesthesia, the frequency of electroacupuncture and the assessment of operation, it was stated that the compound acupuncture anesthesia not only prevented from incomplete analgesia of local anesthesia, but also avoided the adverse reactions of general anesthesia in this paper. Moreover, by reducing the dose of narcotics, the unique advantage of acupuncture anesthesia could be displayed. At present, it was initially believed that a satisfactory analgesia could be achieved by acupuncture at Yingxiang (LI 2) and Yintang (EX-HN 3), with 30 Hz, continuous wave. But there were not many clinical reports on the application of acupuncture anesthesia in nasal endoscopic operation and the operation was not normalized enough. It was expected to optimize the operation procedure of nasal operation under acupuncture anesthesia and promote the clinical practice of it.

OBJECTIVETo reveal the relationship between the storage time of the bark of Magnolia officinalis and the content of phenols in it, and lay a theoretical foundation for the harvest, processing, management and storage.
METHODThe contents of magnolol and honokoiol in 15 bark samples, collected from the main producing areas in China, were determined in the time of freshly harvest and 3 and 10 years after respectively by HPLC method.
RESULTIt showed that within a certain period of time, bark storage was favorable to conversion and accumulation of phenols, that the content of magnolol tended to increase from year 0 to year 3, then followed by slight decrease with years on account of volatilization of phenols, but was still higher when the bark was stored for 10 years than that that when the bark was freshly harvested, and the content of honokoiol still tended to increase when the bark had been stored for 10 years.
CONCLUSIONThe phenols in bark of M. officinalis is quite stable and the bark can be stored for 10 years or longer.

BACKGROUNDThe efficacy of montelukast (MONT), a cysteinyl leukotriene receptor antagonist, in nonasthmatic eosinophilic bronchitis (NAEB), especially its influence on cough associated life quality is still indefinite. We evaluated the efficacy of MONT combined with budesonide (BUD) as compared to BUD monotherapy in improving life quality, suppressing airway eosinophilia and cough remission in NAEB.
METHODSA prospective, open-labeled, multicenter, randomized controlled trial was conducted. Patients with NAEB (aged 18-75 years) were randomized to inhaled BUD (200 μg, bid) or BUD plus oral MONT (10 μg, qn) for 4 weeks. Leicester cough questionnaire (LCQ) life quality scores, cough visual analog scale (CVAS) scores, eosinophil differential ratio (Eos), and eosinophil cationic protein (ECP) in induced sputum were monitored and compared.
RESULTSThe control and MONT groups contained 33 and 32 patients, respectively, with similar baseline characteristics. Significant with-in group improvement in CVAS, LCQ scores, Eos, and ECP was observed in both groups during treatment. After 2-week treatment, add-on treatment of MONT was significantly more effective than BUD monotherapy for CVAS decrease and LCQ scores improvement (both P < 0.05). Similar results were seen at 4-week assessment (both P < 0.05). 4-week add-on therapy of MONT also resulted in a higher percentage of patients with normal sputum Eos (<2.5%) and greater decrease of ECP (both P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONSMONT combined with BUD was demonstrated cooperative effects in improvement of life quality, suppression of eosinophilic inflammation, and cough remission in patients with NAEB.

OBJECTIVETo compare clinical results of treating femoral head necrosis staged Ficat III or IV with total hip arthroplasty (THA) between mini invasive direct anterior approach (DAA) and posterolateral approach.
METHODSFrom January 2008 to December 2009, 48 patients with femoral head necrosis staged Ficat III or IV treated with THA were compared and analyzed. There were 21 patients in mini invasive direct anterior approach group including 11 males and 10 females with an average age of (65.2±4.3) years old;while there were 27 patients in posterolateral approach group including 16 males and 11 females with an average age of (63.6±4.0) years old. Operative time, blood loss during operation, bed rest time and complications of two groups were observed and compared. Acetabular abduction and stem shaft angle were measured 1 month after operation and compared between two groups. Postoperative Harris Hip scoring and VAS scoring were applied for evaluating hip function and pain at 1, 6 months and 5 years after operation respectively.
RESULTSAll patients were followed up for 48 to 73 months with an average of 60.4 months. Operative time, blood loss in DAA group was (78.30±5.08) min, (351.30±21.46) ml, respectively, in posterolateral approach group was (75.61±10.60) min, (362.20±26.15) ml, and no significant differences between two groups. Bed rest time in DAA group was (2.05±1.10) days, better than that of in posterolateral approach which was (3.30±1.35) days. No significant differences were found between two groups in acetabular abduction and stem shaft angle at 1 month after operation. There was no significant differences between two groups in HHS and VAS score at 1, 6 months and 5 years after operation. There was 1 case with injury of ascending branch of the lateral circumflex femoral artery, 1 case with great trochanter fracture and 1 case with superficial infection in DAA group, 1 case with dislocation in posterolateral group. No prosthesis loosening occurred in two groups.
CONCLUSIONSBoth DAA and posterolateral approach are effective in treating femoral head necrosis staged Ficat III or IV, and could obtain excellent outcomes. However, DAA seemed to has disadvantage in learing curve compared posteriolateral approach in complex cases.
