Objective To analyze the characteristics and prognostic factors of gallbladder carcinoma and investigate the measures of various modus operandi. Methods The clinicopathological data of 181 patients with advanced gallbladder carcinoma treated in our hospital from June 2002 to June 2008 were retrospectively analyzed. SPSS16. 0 software package was used for statistical analysis. Results The overall median survival rate of the 181 patients with gallbladder carcinoma was 6 months. The median survival rate after radical resection for gallbladder carcinoma was 19.5 months, which was remarkably higher than other R1 resection, R2 resection and palliative operation groups (P <0. 01) The RO resection rates were 95.5%, 62. 2%, 14.1% and 4.7%, respectively based on different pathological stages of Nevin( Ⅱ , Ⅲ, Ⅳ, and Ⅴ ). There were significant differences among all groups (P<0.01). The Cox multivariate analysis revealed that pathological stages of Nevin, total bilirubin, CA-199 and therapeutic method had significantly higher risk ratios for gallbladder carcinoma. Conclusion Radical resection may help to improve the survival rate and prognosis of advanced gallbladder carcinoma.

OBJECTIVE To explore the mechanisms of the volatiles of Wendan granule for the treatment of senile dementia, network pharmacology method integrating absorption,distribution,metab-olism, and excretion (ADME) screening, target fishing, network constructing, pathway analyzing, and correlated diseases prediction was applied. METHODS Twelve small molecular compounds of WDG were selected as the objects from 74 volatiles with the relative abundances above 2%,and their ADME parameters were collected from Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology platform (TCMSP), and then the corresponding targets, genes, pathways and diseases were predicted according to the data provided by TCMSP,DrugBank,Uniport and the Database for Annotation,Visualization and Integrated Discovery(DAVID).The related pathways and correlation analysis were explored by the Kyoto Encyclo-pedia and Genomes (KEGG) database. Finally, the networks of compound-target, target-pathway and pathway-disease of WDG were constructed by Cytoscape software. RESULTS Twelve compounds interacted with 49 targets, of which top three targets were Gamma-aminobutyric acid receptor subunit alpha-1 (GABRA1), Prostaglandin G/H synthase 2 (PGHS-2) and Sodium-dependent noradrenaline transporter.Interestingly, these targets were highly associated with depression, insomnia and Alzheimer′s disease that mainly corresponded to mental and emotional illnesses. CONCLUSION The integrated network pharmacology method provides precise probe to illuminate the molecular mechanisms of volatiles of WDG for relieving senile dementia related syndromes, which will also facilitate the application of traditional Chinese medicine in modern medicine,as well as follow-up studies such as upgrading the quality stan-dard of clinical medicine and novel drug development.

OBJECTIVETo obtain two-dimensional gel electrophoresis maps of the prefrontal cortex (PFC) proteins of normal and heroin-addicted rats for identifying the differentially expressed proteins in the addicted rats.
METHODSRat models of heroin addiction were established, and the proteins in the PFC underwent two-dimensional gel electrophoresis with immobiline pH gradient isoelectric focusing as the first and vertical SDS-PAGE as the second dimension. ImageMaster 2D 5.0 analysis software, matrix assisted laser desorption/ionization-time of flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF-MS) or MALDI-TOF-TOF-MS as well as NCBInr database searching were performed to separate and identify the proteome in the rat PFC.
RESULTSSeven protein spots to represent 5 proteins were identified by PMF and MALDI-TOF-TOF-MS. Among those proteins, glucose-regulated protein (58 kD) and 26 S proteasome subunit p40.5 existed only in heroin-addicted rats, in which ATP synthase D chain was down-regulated. Ndufa10 and Eno1 were present in both groups, but their molecular mass and pI were different.
CONCLUSIONImmobilized pH gradient two-dimensional gel electrophoresis allows good reproducibility in separation and identification of the proteome in the PDF of heroin-addicted rats, which facilitates further investigation of pathogenic mechanisms of heroin addiction and central nerve injury.

OBJECTIVETo explore the risk factors of Parkinson disease (PD), interaction between family history of PD and other risk factors, as well as the relative strength of genetic factors over the vulnerability of PD.
METHODSOne 1:1 matched case-control study including 157 pairs of cases and controls was conducted in Qilu Hospital of Shandong University.
RESULTSConditional logistic regression analysis showed that family history of PD, mental labor, insecticide, alcohol drinking and history of depression all had positive relationship, while smoking had a negative relationship with PD. The AP (AB)s of family history of PD and insecticide, alcohol drinking, history of depression were 55.2%, 34.0%, 41.4% and the RERIs were 8.96, 3.31, 7.85 respectively. The heritability of PD patients' first degree relatives was 36.86% +/- 5.76%, and second degree relatives was 20.66% +/- 6.81%.
CONCLUSIONFamily history of PD had an additive model synergism on PD, coexisting with other risk factors. Genetic factors had a smaller action on PD than environmental factors.
