Objective To increase the awareness of thyroid diseases through observing the relationship between ultrasound indications of thyroid and thyroid disease,and to enhance the understanding of thyroid disease through outpatient data.Methods Two hundred women aged 25 to 50 with thyroid imaging data were selected from the Department of Ultrasonography,the First Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University.Seven indications including age,body weight,thyroid volume,the number of nodules,nodule size,nature of nodules and thyroid disease were recorded.Thyroid cases were divided into four groups based on their sonographic changes of color Doppler ultrasound:normal group (136 cases):sonographic changes of thyroid were approximately normal ; mild degree group (9 cases):consisting of patients with mild thyroid disease,diffused thyroid enlargement or combined cystic nodules; moderate degree group (38 cases):consisting of patients with moderate thyroid disease,hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism; severe degree group (17 cases):consisting of patients with severe thyroid disease,thyroiditis and/or with hemorrhage and calcification.Data were analyzed using the method of clinical case observation and SPSS 16.0.Results We found that in mild degree group the discriminant coefficients of thyroid volume,the nature of thyroid nodules and nodule size were 0.085,0.169 and 0.695; but in sever degree group the corresponding values were 0.158,0.344 and 0.484,respectively,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (x2 =43.3,df =18,P ＜ 0.01).Conclusions The nature,size and area of thyroid nodules are closely related to the progression of thyroid disease.The color Doppler ultrasound data of outpatients as a part of hospital statistics have important theoretical and practical value.

The bile was collected from fro patients with biliary infections, with the bacterium isolated to study the sensitivity of each kind of the bacterium to several antibiotics in common use. Except G- bacterium, we also found some kinds of G+ bacterium in infection bile. G- bacterium were not sensitive to Clindamycin, G+ bacterium were sensitive to Ciprofloxacin. Escherichia coli, Xanthomonas maltophilia, Enterobacter cloacae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa were sensitive to Ampicillin. G+ bacterium were not sensitive to Azactam. Enterococcus faecalis, Enterococcus faecium, Enterobacter cloacae were not sensitive to Ceftazidime. Enterococcus faecalis, Staphylococcus coagulase negative, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa were not sensitive to Ceftriaxone Sodium. We didn't found any bacterium resistance Imipenem. The possibility of the existence of G+ bacterium as well as drug resistance should be considered n patients with biliary infections. The value of susceptibility test should be respected to avoid drug abuse of antibiotics.

Objective To observe the effect of modified Qinghao Biejia Decoction ( QBD) on Th17 cells and renal pathology of MRL/lpr mice with spontaneous systemic lupus erythematosus. Methods Thirty-two female MRL/lpr mice aged 8 to 10 weeks were divided into 4 groups: model group, Chinese medicine group, prednisone group, and combination group, 8 mice in each group. Eight female C57BL/6 mice aged 8 to 10 weeks served as normal control. Mice in Chinese medicine group were given concentrated solution of modified QBD (19.25 g·kg-1·d-1), mice in the prednisone group were given water solution of prednisone acetate (8.75 mg·kg-1·d-1) , mice in the combination group were given the above two kinds of medicine, and mice in the model group and normal control group were given physiological saline. After medication for 7 weeks, spleens and kidneys in all of the groups were taken out for the experiment. Th17 cells in splenic mononuclear cell suspension were detected by flow cytometry, the pathological changes of renal tissue were observed under light microscope, and activity index (AI) of renal tissue in lupus nephritis mice was scored. Results The proportion of Th17 cells in the model group was significantly higher than that of normal control group ( P<0.05) . The proportion of Th17 cells in Chinese medicine group and combination group was lower than that of the model group ( P<0.05) , and prednisone group had higher proportion of Th17 cells than Chinese medicine group ( P<0.05) . Compared with the model group, pathological changes of renal tissue were relieved, and AI scores were decreased in Chinese medicine group, the prednisone group and the combination group ( P<0.05) . Except for the normal control group , AI scores in all groups were positively correlated with the proportion of Th17 cells ( r=0.77, P<0.01) . Conclusion Modified QBD can inhibit the expression of Th17 cells and improve the pathological changes of MRL/lpr mice with lupus nephritis.

[Abstract ] Objective Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs) can be induced to the differentiation into vascular smooth muscle cells in many induction conditions.We sought to explore the possibility of the differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells into vascular smooth muscle cells by continuous cell culture in vitro. Methods Rat BMSCs were isolated from the bilateral tibial and femoral bones by the method of whole bone marrow adherence, followed by ex vivo expansion.BMSCs were identified by flow cytometry and three-lineage differentiation.After continuous five days'cell culture of BMSCs, the specific surface antigens of VSMCs were detec-ted by immunofluorescence, western blot and real-time PCR. Results BMSCs expressed CD29、90, in contrast, they did not express CD45、34、49d.After induction of osteogenesis, adipogenesis and chondrogenesis, alizarin red、oil red and alcian blue staining pro-duced a strong reaction in cells.The expressions ofα-SMA、Calponin1、SM-MHC and SM22 in the cells of experimental group were no-tably increased, which indicated that BMSCs were differentiating towards VSMCs. Conclusion In the absence of exogenous stimula-tion, BMSCs can be successfully induced to differentiate into VSMCs by continuous cell culture.

Objective:To develop an HPLC-MS/MS method for the determination of rosuvastatin in plasma and study the relative bioavailability and bioequivalence of the capsules and tablets in Chinese healthy volunteers. Methods: A single oral dose (20 mg of the test or reference preparation) was given to 24 male healthy volunteers in a randomized crossover study. The plasma concentration of rosuvastatin was determined by HPLC-MS/MS. The pharmacokinetic parameters were calculated and the bioavailability and bioequiva-lence of the two preparations were evaluated by DAS 3. 0 software. Results:After a single dose, the pharmacokinetic parameters of ro-suvastatin capsules and tablets were as follows:Tmax was (3. 56 ± 1. 68) h and (3. 63 ± 1. 56) h, Cmax was (21. 17 ± 13. 74) ng· ml-1 and (26.33 ±23.22) ng·ml-1, t1/2 was (10.68 ±5.50) h and (9.04 ±6.00) h, AUC0-t was (219.31 ±146.09) ng·h· ml-1 and (252. 43 ± 194. 96) ng·h·ml-1 , AUC0-∞ was (225. 32 ± 146. 76) ng·h·ml-1 and (257. 24 ± 194. 61) ng·h·ml-1 , respectively. The 90% confidential interval of AUC0-t, AUC0-∞ and Cmax was 81. 1%-106% , 81. 8%-105. 4% and 77. 9%-104. 5%, respectively. The mean relative bioavailability of the test preparation(the capsules) to the reference preparation(the tablets) was (100. 7 ± 54. 1)%. Conclusion:The test and reference preparations are bioequivalent.

OBJECTIVETo observe the effect of Qianliean Pill (QP) on inflammatory factors such as IL-1β, IL-10, and tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α) in chronic nonbacterial prostatitis (CNP) model rats, and to explore its therapeutic mechanism.

METHODSCNP rat model was established by castration and estradiol benzoate injection. Totally 50 rats were randomly divided into 5 groups, i.e., the model group, the positive medicine group, the high dose QP group, the medium dose QP group, and the low dose QP group, 10 in each group. Besides, 10 normal rats were recruited as a normal control group. Since the 8th day of castration, Pulean Tablet (PT) at 10. 80 g/kg was administered to rats in the positive medicine group by gastrogavage. QP at 11.00, 5.50, and 2.75 g/kg was administered to rats in high, medium, and low dose QP groups by gastrogavage. Distilled water at 2 mL/100 g was administered to rats in the model group and the normal control group by gastrogavage, once daily for 30 successive days. After 30 days of medication all rats were sacrificed and their prostate tissues were extracted. The prostatic index was calculated. Pathological changes of rat prostate were observed under light microscope. Meanwhile, levels of IL-1β, IL-10, and TNF-α were detected using enzyme linked immunosorbent assay.

RESULTSCompared with the normal control group, the prostate index obviously decreased, levels of IL-1β, TNF-α, and IL-10 in the prostate tissue significantly increased in the model group (P < 0.01). Compared with the model group, the prostate index obviously decreased in high and medium dose QP groups, and the positive medicine group (P < 0.01); levels of IL-1β, TNF-α, and IL-10 obviously decreased in each QP group and the positive medicine group (P < 0.01). Compared with the positive medicine group, the TNF-α level decreased more obviously in the high dose QP group (P < 0.05). Compared with the normal control group, inflammatory reactions occurred obviously in rats' prostate of the model group. Compared with the model group, inflammatory reactions were milder in rats' prostate of each QP group and the positive medicine group, and their degrees were improved to some extent.

CONCLUSIONQP could treat CNP, which might be achieved by regulating local immune state of the prostate, relieving inflammatory reactions of the prostate, and lowering levels of IL-β, TNF-α, and IL-10 in the prostate tissue.

Objective To create a model with simple expression of mechanical characteristics of the human chest for the development of a manikin. Methods A simplified Gruben-model was proposed based on the anatomical structure and physical characteristics of the materials, and perfect coefficients were computed. The model feasibility was proved by the coefficient of determination and residual analysis.Results The mathematic form of the model provided had three fewer terms than Gruben′s. The coefficient of determination approximated 1, the residue was small, and the perfect coefficients of "a typical human" were determined.Conclusion The hypothesis of the model makes the coefficients physically meaningful, which provides a new method to study the force-displacement relationship of the thorax. Also the simple form makes it easy to create the model and provide some guidance for the design of a manikin′s chest.

Objective To observe the sub-chronic effects of low doses of arsenic poisoning in rabbits exposed to different periods on some of the serum enzymes and biochemical indicators, and to provide the basis for screening of meaningful hematologic indicators for early diagnosis of arsenic poisoning. Methods Twelve adult rabbits,weighing 2.0 - 3.5 kg, were randomly divided into four groups, 3 in each group, and they were fed with drinking water containing sodium arsenite 0(control),0.01,0.05,0.25 mg/L, respectively. Serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate amino transferase (AST), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), γ-glutamyl transacylase (y-GT), total protein(TP), albumin(ALB), globulin(GLP), and ALB/GLP of rabbit were measured by SYSMEX-180 automated biochemistry analyzer after 8 weeks and 12 weeks exposure. Results The results showed that ALT in 0.05 mg/Lgroup of 12 week[(60.00 ± 4.14)U/L]increased significantly compared with the control[(41.50 ± 2.12)U/L, P ＜0.05];AST in 0.25 mg/L group of 8 week and 12 week[(46.50 ± 3.21 ), (52.33 ± 3.81 )U/L]increased significantly compared with the control[(21.33 ± 3.53), (29.50 ± 3.23 )U/L, all P ＜ 0.05];ALP in 0.05 mg/L and 0.25 mg/L group of 12 week [(78.68 ± 4.85 ), ( 103.00 ± 7.83 ) U / L]increased significantly compared with the control [(45.50 ± 5.50)U/L, all P ＜ 0.05];γ-GT in 0.05 mg/L group of 12 week[(19.33 ± 7.50)U/L]increased significantly compared with the contro1[(8.50 ± 3.53)U/L, P＜ 0.05]. TP, ALB, GLP, ALB/GLP of different groups of 8 week and 12 week were not significantly different statistically(F= 0.77,0.02,0.16,3.14 and 0.51,0.29,0.41,0.52, all P ＞ 0.05). Conclusions Zero point zero five mg/L and higher doses of sub-chronic arsenic exposure has some major damage to the liver. Compared with other serum enzymes and the biochemical indexes, serum AST is a early sensitive indicator of liver injury of the arsenic poisoning.

Objective To study the role of lipase in inflammation in patients with acute pancreatitis.Methods Acute pancreatitis patients (n =200) were enrolled in the study.The patients were examined by computerized tomography and the severity of AP is determined by Blathazat Score.We assess the muhivariate-adjusted association of amylase and lipase with inflammatory markers of AP.We identified that lipase was more specifically correlated with AP progression than amylase,lactate dehydrogenase and creatitine kinase.Results We demonstrated that in AP patients,a doubling of lipase excretion was associated with 6.8％ increase of white blood cells (95％ CI,3.06％-10.5％,P ＜ 0.01),10.3％ (95％ CI,5.7％-14.9％,P ＜ 0.01) increase of neutrophil number but 14.8％ (95％ CI,2.3％-27.3％,P ＜0.05) decrease of lymphocytes in the blood,respectively.By contrast,amylase has no association with these cells.Both amylase and lipase had no relationship with triglyceride level in AP patients.Conclusions Lipase serves as an indicator for the severity and treatment of AP.
