1.Effect of Dipsacus total saponins on the ability of learning and memory and acetylcholine metabolism of hippocampus in AD rats.

OBJECTIVETo study the effects of Dipsacus total saponins on the ability of learning and memory and its mechanism of action.
METHODSForty rats were randomly divided into blank control group, model group, Dipsacus group and positive control group (n = 10), general situation of rats were observed, the ability of learning and memory of rats was tested by Square water maze, the activities of acetylcholinesterase (AChE)and choline acetyltransferase (ChAT) of hippocampus in rats were measured using double antibody sandwich method.
RESULTSDuring the period of treatment, general situation had no obvious change in model group, but general situation and the ability of activity were gradually improved in Dipsacus group and positive control group. Compared with blank control group, the swimming time was obviously prolonged and the number of mistakes was obviously increased at different time, the activity of AChE was significantly enhanced and the activity of ChAT was significantly decreased in model group. Compared with model group, the swimming time was obviously shortened and the number of mistakes was obviously reduced at different time, the activities of AChE were significantly decreased and the activities of ChAT were significantly enhanced in Dipsacus group and positive control group; Compared with positive control group, the swimming time and the number of mistakes at different time and the activities of AChE and ChAT had no significant difference in Dipsacus group.
CONCLUSIONDipsacus total saponins can improve the ability of learning and memory in Alzheimer' s disease(AD) rats, its mechanism of 'action may be related to regulating ACh metabolism of hippocampus.

3.Study of anti-aging effect and its mechanism of total saponins of Wu-He Dipsacus asper on skin of mouse-aging model.

OBJECTIVETo Study the effect of anti-aging and its mechanism of total saponins of Wu-He Dipsacus asper on skin of mice-aging model.
METHODSForty-eight mice were randomly divided into blank control group, model group, low-Dipsacus group, medium-Dipsacus group, high-Dipsacus group and positive control group( n = 8) . The mouse model of skin aging was established by nape subcutaneous injection of 5% D-galactose (0.025 mL/(g · d)), the mouse of low-Dipsacus group, medium-Dipsacus group, high-Dipsacus group were administered with total saponins of Wu-He Dipsacus asper (50 ml/(kg · d), 100 mL/(kg · d), 200 mL/(kg · d)), the mice of the positive control group were administered with vitamin E(50 mg/(kg · d)) for 42 d. The content of hydroxyproline (HYP) and lipofuscin (LF) were measured in skin of each group mice, the activity of catalase (CAT) glutathione peroxidase ( GSH-Px) superoxide dismutase (SOD) and the content of malondi- aldehyde (MDA) were determined in serum and skin of each group mice.
RESULTSCompared with blank control group, the content of HYP decreased significantly and the content of LF increased significantly in skin, the activities of CAT, GSH-Px and SOD decreased significantly and the content of MDA increased significantly in serum and skin of model group; Compared with model group, the content of HYP increased significantly and the content of LF decreased significantly in skin, the activities of CAT, GSH-Px and SOD enhanced significantly and the con- tent of MDA decreased significantly in serum and skin of low-Dipsacus group, medium-Dipsacus group, high-Dipsacus group and positive control group; Compared with low-Dipsacus group, the content of HYP increased significantly and the content of LF decreased significantly in skin, the activities of CAT, GSH-Px and SOD enhanced significantly and the content of MDA decreased significantly in serum and skin of high-Dipsacus group and positive control group; The activity of SOD in serum and skin had a significant positive correlation with the content of HYP, and a significant negative correlation with LF in skin.
CONCLUSIONTotal saponins of Wu-He Dipsacus asper have obvious effect of anti-agng on skin of mouse-aging model , its mechanism is closely related to oxidative damage.

This study primarily compares the characteristics and the application range of some kinds of bioactive ceramics and biodegradable ceramics, and introduces their latest development in degradability and strength et al. Among these materials, calcium polyphosphate is a new material as bone tissue engineering scaffold. With a controllable degradation rate and the required strength, it has been paid much attention.
6.Effect of Early Melodic Intonation Speech Training on Broca Aphasia

Objective To explore the effect of early melodic intonation speech training on Broca aphasia. Methods 22 patients with Broca aphasia were trained with the early melodic intonation training program. They were evaluated with China Rehabilitation Research Center aphasia examination before and after the treatment. Results There were significant differences in auditory comprehension, repetition, oral reading, speaking, reading and calculation (P<0.05), but no significant difference in description, copying, and dictation (P>0.05). Conclusion Early melodic intonation speech training can improve the speech and reading in patients with Broca aphasia.
7.Changes of cortisol and adrenocorticotrophic hormone levels in premature neonates with infectious diseases

Objective To investigate the changes of plasma cortisol and adrenocorticotrophic hormone(ACTH)levels in prema-ture neonates with the infectious diseases.Methods Ninety premature neonates in the neonatal department of our hospital were di-vided into the control group(30 cases),mild infection group(30 cases)and severe infection group(30 cases).The radioimmunoassay was adopted to detect the serum cortisol and ACTH levels on 1,3,7 d after birth in all subjects and the corresponding comparison was conducted.Results The cortisol levels on 1,3,7 d in the mild infection group were (193.04 ±39.48),(151.12 ±35.62 ), (128.37±27.47)ng/mL respectively,the level on 1 d was higher than that on 3,7 d (P <0.05),and the 3 d was higher than that on 7 d (P <0.05).The cortisol level on 1,3,7 d in the severe infection group were (99.43±50.17),(96.52 ±44.69),(131.13 ± 42.73)ng/mL respectively,and the level on 1,3 d was significantly lower than that on 7 d (P <0.05).Conclusion The relative ad-renocortical insufficiency exists in premature neonates with the early stage of severe infection and is manifested by the decline of plasma cortisol level,which could recover to the normal level on 7 d,but the plasma ACTH level has no relation with infection.
8.Application of Site-Rite 5 ultrasound-guided instrument in puncturing of grade Ⅱ and Ⅲ veins

Objective To investigate the effect of Site-Rite 5 vascular ultrasound on puncturing of grade Ⅱ and Ⅲ veins.Methods Purposive sampling was used and 59 patients with grade Ⅱ and iⅢ veins to receive peripheral intravenous catheteration (PIV) were divided into observation group and control group according to the different wards:30 patients in the observation group and 29 in the control group.The control group received indwelling PIV by routine method and in the observation group,the patients' veins were assessed by Site-Rite 5 ultrasound-guided instrument and marked,followed by puncturing with PIV.The two groups were compared in terms of one-time success rate and incidence of complications.Results The one-time success rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group.There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups (P >0.05).Conclusions By the Site-Rite 5 ultrasound-guided instrument,the invisible veins become visible.It is beneficial to improve the success rate of puncturing.
9.Isolation and Purification of Isoaloeresin D and Aloin from Aloe vera by High-speed Counter-current Chromatography

Objective To develop an efficient method to isolate and purify the main components isoaloeresin D and aloin from Aloe vera for its industrial production. Methods High-speed counter-current chromatography was used to isolate isoaloeresin D and aloin in a one-step separation from dried crude extract ofA. vera. The biphasic solvent system the lipophilic phase was selected as the mobile phase and the apparatus was rotated at 840 r/min. The effluent was detected at 254 nm. Results Isoaloeresin D (53.1 mg) and aloin (106.9 mg) were separated from the crude extract (384.7 mg) with the purities of 98.6% and 99.5%, respectively. Conclusion HSCCC is a powerful technique for isolation and separation of chemical composition from aloe.
10.Arrhythmia induced by acute organophosphorous pesticide poisoning: a literature review

Literatures on arrhythmia induced by acute organophosphorous pesticide poisoning published in domestic journals from 1979 to 2010 were searched. Total 3468 cases of acute organophosphorous poisoning were collected and analyzed. The average abnormal ECC rate was (53 ±15)%(35. 4% -68. 4% ) in acute organophosphorous poisoning, the most common ECG abnormalities were ST-T segment changes (26. 5% ) and sinus tachycardia (16. 6% ). The rate and severity of ECG abnormalities were increased with the severity of organophosphorous poisoning(x2 = 33. 253,P < 0. 01). The most common causes of death in acute organophosphorous poisoning were ventricular tachycardia and ventricular fibrillation (26.2%).
