Objective:To analyze the changes of chemical compositions and relative contents of volatile constituents in raw Xanthi-um sibiricum Patr. and fried Xanthium sibiricum Patr. Methods: Headspace solid phase micro extraction ( HS-SPME) combined with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry ( GC-MS) was used to study the volatile components in raw and fried products of Xanthium sibir-icum Patr. . A peak area normalization method was applied to calculate the relative percentage content of each composition. Results:Totally 26 and 27 kinds of compounds were isolated and identified respectively from raw and fried xanthium including 19 species and re-spectively accounting for 68. 69% and 90. 08% of the total volatile components. In the raw products, the components with high con-tents were camphor (15. 3%), eucalyptus oil alcohol (9. 6%) and borneol (6. 89%), while in the fried products, those were men-thol (24. 09%), borneol (18. 48%) and eucalyptol (7. 19%). Conclusion:The relative contents of components with effects on rhi-nitis in the fried products are obviously higher than those in the raw products. HS-SPME-GC-MS can be used to detect the volatile com-positions and their relative contents in the raw products and fried products of Xanthium sibiricum Patr. . From the changes of volatile components, theoretical basis can be laid for the components with certain efficacy in raw and fried Xanthium sibiricum Patr. , and scien-tific basis can be provided for their further study and comprehensive utilization.
2.Issues hospitals need to pay attention to in medical lawsuits
Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 1996;0(04):-
Hospitals frequently end up losing medical lawsuits due to the following factors: inappropriate appointment of legal representatives, misconception and wrong application of the standard of proof required for lawsuits, ignorance of the time limit for submitting lawsuit documents, and lack of communication with the judges on the proof value of medical literature. In order to guarantee their legitimate rights and interests, hospitals ought to appoint health lawyers and medical experts as their legal representatives, have a good grasp of the standard of proof of reasonable probability, adhere to the time regulations in lawsuits, strengthen communication with the judges with regard to medicine, and understand the legal rules of arbitration. Only by doing so can their legal rights and interests avoid being encroached upon.

Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 2012;34(8):565-569
Objective To compare the effects of transcranial and trans-spinal low frequency magnetic stimulation (MS) on the expression of growth-associated protein-43 (GAP-43) in the spinal neurons of rats after spinal cord injury (SCI). Methods Forty-five Sprague-Dawley female rats were divided randomly into a transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) group,a trans-spinal cord magnetic stimulation group and a model control group with 15 in each group.Another 6 rats served as a normal control group.Spinal cord injury at the T9-10 level was modeled according to the modified Allen's method. The rats in the two MS groups received magnetic stimulation at 0.5 Hz and 75% of the maximum output intensity ( 1.9 T) of the magnetic stimulator beginning 24 h post injury. They received 30 pulses daily for 28 days while the rats in the model control group were not exposed to MS.Basso-Beattie-Bresnahan (BBB) scale scores and motion evoked potentials (MEPs) were measured at the 1st,7th,14th,21 st and 28th day post injury. The expression of GAP-43 protein was studied using immunohistochemical methods and semi-quantified by Western blotting. Results At the 4th week post injury the average BBB scores in the model control group, the TMS group and the trans-spinal cord magnetic stimulation group were all significantly different. MEP amplitudes decreased significantly in all groups after the injury, and the latency was prolonged, but there were no significant differences among groups at any time point.GAP-43 expression also increased after SCI,and it was significantly higher in the MS groups than in the model control group at 4 weeks. Moreover, the expression of GAP-43 in the trans-spinal cord MS group was significantly greater than in the TMS group. Conclusion Magnetic stimulation can promote nerve regeneration and improve locomotor recovery after spinal cord injury,at least in rats. The effect of trans-spinal cord magnetic stimulation is superior to that of TMS.The mechanism may be related to the activation of central pattern generators.

7.New Target of Treatment of Autoimmune Diseases
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(09):-
On the clinic, the main treatment of autoimmune diseases were used immunosuppressant, but large-scale use of immunosuppressive agents could cause of the delayed dysfunction, side effects such as infection, tumors and so on,so-induced immune suppression and immune tolerance response was the most effective way.So far, dendritic cells(DC) was the most powerful professional antigen-presenting cells. On one hand,DC as a full-time antigen-presenting cells and trigger regulation of the inherent and acquired immune response, start the immune response; On the other hand,DC through a variety of mechanisms induced antigen-specific T cells incompetent, show strong plasticity in immune tolerance and play an important role in immune regulation.Nuclear factor(NF)-?B is a nuclear transcription factor. In the immune response,NF-?B in the dendritic cells regulation of their own including development, maturity, the antigen-presenting,to stimulate T cells functions and so on.Such adjustments play an important role in the incidence of autommine diseases, could became a new target treatment of autommine diseases.

AIM: To evaluate Ribbond ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene fiber (UMWPF) on hamster's pouch by oral membrane irritation. METHODS: Experiments were performed at the Animal Experimental Center of Henan Province from July to December 2004. Ten healthy male golden hamsters aged 60-70 days were selected. The samples of UMWPF, positive and negative control group (n=10, diameter 4 mm, thickness 1 mm) were fixed on the oral membrane of hamster's pouch with medical thread. The thread should pass through membrane and fixed on the animals' skin. The experimental samples were on the one side of pouch membrane (UMWPF toward membrane); the positive and negative samples were on the cephalic and tail of the other side respectively. After two weeks' systemic and local observation, the local oral membrane specimens were viewed under microscope. RESULTS: Totally 10 hamsters were included in the final analysis. ①2 weeks after the surgery, the animals pouch membrane contacting with the experiment and negative samples showed no hyperemia, hydrops, erosion or ulcer, and where positive samples contacted showed rough; 7 of them showed light hyperemia and hydrops. ②The epithelia layer of the animal membrane contacting with experiment and negative samples were complete, which cells were in order, epithelial processes stretched to the basal layer. There was no inflammatory cells infiltration, congestion or edema in the connective tissue, but which showed contrast in the positive group. ③The epithelial cells of the experiment and negative groups had no changes in morphology, while in the positive group a few cells swelled and their nucleolus were more clear than normal, and their shapes were circle which was different from normal. There were no systemic or local abnormal response to UMWPF and that the histopathological findings were also normal. CONCLUSION: Ribbond ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene fiber has no abnormal irritating response to oral membrane of golden hamster.
