1.Macrofollicular variant of papillary thyroid carcinoma:report of 2 cases and literature review
Journal of Endocrine Surgery 2014;(4):282-285
Objective To discuss the pathological morphological features of the macrofollicular variant of papillary thyroid carcinoma ( MFPTC ) .Methods Clinical data of 2 cases of MFPTC were reviewed .The his-topathological and immunohistochemical features were analyzed .Relevant literatures were reviewed .Results The histological characters of MFPTC mainly included its multiple macrofolliculus , plenty of colloid and atypical nuclear morphology.Immunohistochemistry stain showed cytokeratin-19, Galectin-3 and HBME-1 expressed simultaneously. Conclusions MFPTC is a thyroid papillary carcinoma with unique histological characters .It should be differen-tially diagnosed from some benign lesions such as nodular goiter and follicular adenoma .Immunohistochemical stain of cytokeratin-19, Galection-3 and HBME-1 may be very helpful in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis .

OBJECTIVE To investigate the method of quality control on the whole process in sterilization supply department. METHODS According to issued by Ministry of Health all kinds of criteria and inspections, the whole process in sterilization supply department was analyzed, and then the quality was controlled. RESULTS The whole process of sterilization was standardized, systematized and programmed. CONCLUSIONS The quality control on the whole process is an effective measure to ensure the rate of supply eligibility and support.

Objective To investigate the effect of miR-30a on human osteosarcoma cell 143B in migration, invasion andcellviability. Methods 143BcellswereinfectedortransfectedwithrecombinantadenovirusmiR-30a(Ad-miR30a) and miR-30a inhibitor respectively .Wound healing assay was performed to detect the cell healing ability ( P<0.05 ) .Cell migration and invasion ability were determined by Transwell assay ( P<0.05 ) .The cell viability was analyzed by MTT assay ( P<0.01 ) .Real-time quantitative PCR was performed to analyze the expression of RUNX2 mRNA level and confirmed the adenovirus miR-30a expressed in 143B cells. The expression of RUNX2 was analyzed by Western blot .miR-30a target to RUNX2 was verified by luciferase reported gene assay .Results The ability of migration and invasion was suppressed in osteosarcoma cell 143B by overexpression miR-30a,and the cell viability also decreased .After the endogenous miR-30 a being inhibited , the cell motility and invasion enhanced and the cell viability was promoted .The RUNX2 protein decreased after overexpression miR-30 a as compared with controlgroup.TheluciferaseactivityofRUNX2decreasedbyaddingmiR-30a.Conclusions 143Bcellmigration, invasion and viability were suppressed by miR-30a,and this process is potentially achieved via suppressing RUNX 2 protein expression .

Objective To observe CT features of ovarian thecofibroma and the clinical significance. Methods CT manifestations, clinical data and pathological diagnosis of 12 cases of ovarian thecofibroma proved by pathology were retrospectively analysed. Results The CT manifestation of ovarian thecofibroma was typical, which was showed as following:on one side of the attachment area tumor, single, ovoid or class circular shape, most boundary clear, equal or slightly low density solid masses, internal or boundary ar-ea accompanied by a small amount low density area, mild delay enhancement in solid ingredients or no obvious enhancement.Conclu-sion CT examination is important for qualitative diagnosis of ovarian thecofibroma and finding complications.

Objective To explore the molecular mechanisms of primary amenorrhea by using arrayCGH technology. Methods Ten patients with primary amenorrhea and 10 female volunteers with regular menstrual cycles as healthy controls were selected. All patients and control samples were analyzed by conventional chromosome analysis (G-banding technology) and array-CGH technology, respectively. ArrayCGH was performed using Affymetrix Cytogenetic 2. 7M arrays following the manufacturer's standard protocol. Results Both the patient group and control group analyzed by conventional G-banding karyotype technology showed a negative result with a normal female karyotype: 46, XX. The result of array-CGH analysis demonstrated a microdeletion of approximately 110 000 bp located at the end of the short arm of X chromosome [46, X, del (X) (p22. 33 )] were identified in 5 patients, which was not detected in the control group. All healthy control samples by array-CGH analysis showed no pathological DNA copy number variation. Conclusions Array-CGH technology can improve the diagnosis rate of chromosomal disease at the DNA level. It is necessary to provide array-CGH for higher resolution genetic analysis of idiopathic primary amenorrhea patient who can not be identified by conventional technology.

Objective To analyze the chemokine receptor CXCR4 expression in acute leukemic cells of children and its relationship with extramedullary infiltration. Methods The immunotypes of cases of acute leukemia in children and the expression of CXCR4 in marrow leukemic cells were studied by flow cytometry respectively. The relationship between CXCR4 expression and extramedullary infiltration of leukemic cells were analyzed by statistical method. Results The expression rates of CXCR4 in ALL children were higher than those in NALL children(P
