1. Effect of oxidative stress in SH-SY5Y cell injury induced by deguelin
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2020;36(1):47-52
Aim To study the correlation between oxidative stress and neurotoxicity induced by deguelin, providing the mechanism basis for the structural modification and drug combination about deguelin. Methods SH-SY5Y cells were exposed to deguelin ranging from 1. 56-100 jimol • L"1 for 24 to 72 h, whose survival rate was determined by CCK-8 assay. The content of LDH, MDA levels, GPx and antioidant enzyme activities of SOD were determined using the assay kits ac-cording the manufacturer's protocol. And the content of ROS was determined by flow cytometry. The expressions of MEK, EGF, ERK and CREB were determined by immunoblotting. Results Deguelin obviously inhibited the growth of SH-SY5Y cells in a concentra-tion-and time-dependent manner ( P < 0. 05 ). After the cells were injured by deguelin, the content of ROS, LDH and MDA in SH-SY5Y cells increased obviously (P <0. 05), while the vitality of GPx and SOD decreased obviously ( P < 0. 05) in a dose-dependent manner. Furthermore, the protein expression levels of MEK, EGF, RAS and CREB in MAPK/ERK signaling pathway decreased obviously when treated with deguelin in a dose-dependent manner. (P < 0. 05). Conclusions The trauma of SH-SY5Y cells induced by deguelin is closely related to oxidative stress, in which MAPK/ERK signaling pathway may play a mediating role.

Objective To explore the characteristics of gait and surface electromyography (sEMG) of underwater treadmill training (UWTT). Methods From January to September, 2015, gait and sEMG parameters of ten healthy adults were synchronously collected using three-dimensional gait analysis system and sEMG systems on land and UWTT. Results When walking in self comfortable speed, compared with walk on land, there was significant increase in gait cycle (t=-11.411, P<0.001) and percentage of the swing phase (t=-5.252, P<0.05), significant reduction in walking speed (Z=-2.803, P<0.01) and step frequency (t=7.421, P<0.001). There was no significant difference in step strength (Z=-0.357, P>0.05). The integral electromyography of biceps femoris, gastrocnemius, tibialis anterior muscle were significant less than iEMG on land (t>3.984, P<0.01), but no significant difference of rectus femoris (t=0.054, P>0.05). Conclusion There are signifi-cant differences in gait and muscle contraction intensity between land walking and UWTT. The dynamic physiology and neural control of UWTT need further study.

Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2018;38(9):1079-1084
Objective • To investigate the impact of body weight and physical activity during different stages of adjuvant chemotherapy on the quality of life after chemotherapy among breast cancer patients. Methods • In a convenient sample of breast cancer patients with no prior history of systemic therapy, physical activity and quality of life were measured with anthropometric measurements, international physical activity evaluation questionnaire and Chinese version of functional assessment of cancer therapy-breast (FACT-B) scale before, during and after chemotherapy. Data was processed using repetitive measurement variance analysis and correlation analysis. Results • Among the 140 breast cancer patients, the average incidence of obesity during chemotherapy was 30.24%. An increase of body mass index (BMI) was observed throughout the treatment course. During adjuvant chemotherapy, the median physical activity was 844.50 (MET•min)/week. Obesity before chemotherapy was significantly negatively correlated with quality of life among patients receiving adjuvant chemotherapy (r=-0.21, P=0.014), while physical activity energy consumption was positively correlated with quality of life (r=0.20, P=0.019). Conclusion • Obesity and insufficient physical activity are rather common during adjuvant chemotherapy treatment in breast cancer patients, and they are strongly correlated with patients' quality of life after chemotherapy.

Journal of Forensic Medicine 2020;36(1):77-85
Traditional forensic identification relies on forensic experts to manually extract information and provide identification opinions based on medicine, biology and other fields of knowledge combined with personal work experience, which is not only time-consuming and require great effort, but also affected by subjective factors that are difficult to overcome. In the era of big data, the booming development of artificial intelligence brings new ideas to forensic medicine. In recent years, forensic researchers at home and abroad have conducted many studies based on artificial intelligence technology, such as face recognition, age and gender identification, DNA analysis, postmortem interval estimation, injury and cause of death identification, showing the feasibility and advantages of using artificial intelligence technology to solve forensic identification problems. As a new means of technology that has adapted to the development of the times, artificial intelligence has brought new vitality to forensic medicine, but at the same time also some new challenges. How to deal with these challenges scientifically and form a new mode of 'artificial intelligence plus forensic medicine' with artificial intelligence and forensic medicine developing collaboratively is a new direction for the development of forensic medicine in the era of big data.

Objective:
To analyze adjuvant chemotherapy decisions for triple negative breast cancer (TNBC), and explore the influencing factors in the multidisciplinary treatment (MDT) modality.
Methods:
A retrospective analysis was performed. The cases with invasive TNBC who underwent surgery and MDT discussion for adjuvant treatment in Ruijin Hospital, from April 2013 to June 2015, were recruited. The patients′ clinicopathological characteristics were analyzed and adjuvant treatment suggestions from MDT were obtained. Here the chemotherapy decision alteration was defined as a disagreement in chemotherapy or not, or inconsistence in regimens between the attending doctor and the multidisciplinary team.
Results:
A total of 194 patients aged ≤70 years old were enrolled in the multidisciplinary discussion, and 187 patients (96.4%) were suggested to receive chemotherapy. When compared the opinions of the attending doctor to suggestions of the multidisciplinary team, we found that the percentage of chemotherapy decision alteration reached 22.7% (39/172), of which 94.9% (37/39) were inconsistence in chemotherapy regimens. There were 119 patients who were recommended to receive epirubicin plus cyclophosphamide (EC) followed by docetaxel (T) or weekly paclitaxel (wP) regimens. Before the announcement of results for the E1199 trial, EC-T accounted for 62.5% (55/88), and EC-wP accounted for 37.5% (33/88) for this group of patients. After that, the proportion of EC-T was decreased to 22.6% (7/31) and proportion of EC-wP increased to 77.4%(24/31) (

ObjectiveTo analyze the timeliness of health science popularization during the outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and its correlation with the epidemic situation and policies. MethodsThe original reports of health science popularization by 26 major media in Shanghai during the COVID19 outbreak between January 19 and March 25 of 2020 were retrieved, and the timeliness of the number of reports, media sources and categories, and contents were analyzed. ResultsDuring the epidemic of COVID-19, public media reported timely. Online media accounted for 63.35%, and text-based reports accounted for 85.90%. There was a correlation between the trend of the number of reports and the development of COVID-19 and the prevention and control policy issued by the government. After the change in the epidemic or the release of policy, the number of reports increased. The top four topics were personal protection, disease treatment, healthy lifestyle and psychological health, accounting for 18.62%, 18.54%, 12.96% and 11.74%, respectively. Reports focused on different aspects at different stages of COVID-19 epidemic, and the number of reports tended to increase one week after the occurrence of major events. ConclusionDuring the COVID-19 epidemic, the coverage of health science on media is timely and targeted. For future similar public health emergencies, it is suggested to respond quickly to major events according to the trend, to carry out publicity timely, to innovate the report forms, and thus make it easy for the public to accept and implement.
