1.Network of multiple factors and cascades: hotspots of mechanism studies for diabetic retinopathy
Chinese Journal of Ocular Fundus Diseases 2013;(1):5-8
The pathogenesis of diabetic retinopathy is complicated. The vast network of multiple factors including unifying mechanism, inflammatory reaction, neuron degeneration and metabolic memory of glucose, and the four established pathogenic molecular pathways are hotspots of mechanism research for diabetic retinopathy.Nevertheless, these researches may be only one corner of the iceberg of DR mechanism, and we still face enormous challenges in DR mechanism research.Collaboration with multiple disciplines to study the relationship between DR and diabetes and other systemic diseases, search novel therapy targets may increase the result in an unexpected windfall for DR basic research.

Teaching principles and class content were stated for a experimental course of common pathogenic bacteria detection methods for the undergraduate student in food quality and safety major. They include course material preview, advanced teaching methods, combination of teaching and research, graduate teaching assistant, experimental reports writing and experimental skills evaluation. All these means lead to a good teaching outcome.
4.Study on visual quality and patient satisfaction after astigmatic multifocal intraocular lens implantation
International Eye Science 2019;19(9):1586-1589
AIM: To observe the postoperative visual quality and patient satisfaction of AT LISA Toric 909MP(909M)astigmatic corrected multifocal IOL and AT TORBI 709M(709M)astigmatic corrected single-focus IOL after phacoemulsification.
METHODS: Patients with age-related cataract and corneal astigmatism(>1.0D)were enrolled and accepted phacoemulsification combined with implantation of intraocular lens(IOL)in our hospital during December 2017 and December 2018. Forty cases(56 eyes)were divided into two groups according to which IOL they chose, multiple focal astigmatism(909M)group included 23 cases(35 eyes), single focal astigmatism(709M)group included 17 cases(21 eyes). Three months postoperatively, the visual acuity, defocus curve, residual astigmatism degree, rotational stability of the IOL, postoperative visual quality analysis and patient satisfaction were evaluated.
RESULTS: At 3mo postoperatively, uncorrected distance visual acuity(UDVA)and corrected distance acuity in the two groups were significantly improved(P<0.05). The defocus curve showed that 909M group had two visual acuity peaks at 0D and -2.5D, and a low peak at -1D, 709M group had the visual peak only at 0D. Spectacle independency was achieved by 91%(21/23)of patients in the 909M group and 18%(3/17)in the 709M group.
CONCLUSION: Both of the 909M and 709M had good correction effect for cataract combined with astigmatism. It provided better rotational stability. In addition, 909M provided excellent distance, near visual outcomes, and acceptable intermediate vision. At the same time, it improved the spectacle independency and satisfaction of cataract patients combined with astigmatism.

According to the practical problems including uneven distribution of medical resources in border areas , the difficulty of medical treatment for grass-roots unit, the low efficiency of referral between hospitals , and untimely mastery of health conditions of offi-ciers and soldiers , we constructed and developed a telemedicine information system based on hospital medical database with the backig of military integrated information network platform .A joint regional service platform among hospitals was constructed to realize high efficien -cy of medical referrals for officers and soldiers , computerization of personal medical information transmission , digitalization of health re-cords management , and paperless medical audit .The system provides convenient and high quality health care services , improves the level and efficiency of medical service , and enhances the ability of medical support to the troops by informationization .

Background and purpose:Neoadjuvant chemotherapy is one of the hot studied area in breast cancer research. Our aim was to explore the relationship between the clinical effect, pathological changes and the neoadjuvant chemotherapy containing THP and docetaxel on breast cancer. Methods:The expression of ER, PR and CerbB-2 in breast cancer tissue of patients who had received neoadjuvant chemotherapy were detected by immunohistochemistry method. The relationship of age,ER,PR,CerbB-2,pathological stage and axillary lymph node metastasis with pathological complete response(pCR) was analysed. Results:For the patients after neoadjuvant chemotherapy, the pCR of the positive ER(0%),PR(9.38%) was lower than that of negative ER(20.27),PR(90.63%) respectively. The pCR of the positive CerbB-2(33.33%) was higher than that of negative CerbB-2(9.74%,P

Objective To analyze the chemokine receptor CXCR4 expression in acute leukemic cells of children and its relationship with extramedullary infiltration. Methods The immunotypes of cases of acute leukemia in children and the expression of CXCR4 in marrow leukemic cells were studied by flow cytometry respectively. The relationship between CXCR4 expression and extramedullary infiltration of leukemic cells were analyzed by statistical method. Results The expression rates of CXCR4 in ALL children were higher than those in NALL children(P

OBJECTIVETo elucidate the long-term effect of repeated febrile convulsions (FC) on seizure susceptibility in immature rats.
METHODSWarm-water-immersion rat FC model was developed with SD rats 22 days of age, 15 attacks of seizures were induced in the rats every other day, and some of the rats were left un-stimulated for 3 months, then were re-stimulated. Seizure phenomenon was observed, including the latency and the duration of seizures and the temperature of rats. Hippocampal neuron loss and mossy fiber sprouting were detected by thionine staining and Timm staining.
RESULTSAfter the 15th bath, the latency, the duration of seizures, and the temperature of rats were respectively (4.3 +/- 0.8) min, (5.5 +/- 2.9) min, (42.2 +/- 0.7) degrees C. Three months later, on re-stimulation, in 14 of 19 rats with previous FC experience seizures occurred while in only one of 13 non-FC rats seizure occurred and lasted for 8.5 min. Three months later, the latency, the duration of seizures, and the temperature of rats were respectively (5.4 +/- 0.6) min, (19.3 +/- 5.1) min, and (42.4 +/- 0.4) degrees C (4 rats with status epileptics were not included). The incidence of seizures on re-stimulation in rats of FC group (74%) was significantly higher than that in non-FC group (8%) (chi(2) = 13.50, P < 0.01), and the duration of seizures [(19.3 +/- 5.1) min] was significantly longer than those induced in early life [(5.5 +/- 2.9) min] (t = 10.49, P < 0.01). After the 15th bath, no significant change was demonstrated in rats of different groups. While 3 months later, prominent neuron loss was observed in hippocampal CA(3) region in rats with previous FC experience (P < 0.01). Significant mossy fiber sprouting phenomenon was detected after the 15th bath and 3 months later (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONRepeated FC in early life enhances long term susceptibility of rats to seizure.
