1.Progress on the relation of vitamin A and asthma

Growing research worldwide suggests that vitamin A(VA) plays an important role in asthma.vitamin A deficiency (VAD) could be commonly found in children with asthma.The lower the serum VA concentration is, the more severe the asthma is.In animal experiments, VAD could promote asthma occurrence as well as exacerbation, via regulating T cell function, maintaining airway epithelium integrity, promoting the normal development of lung,antioxidation and so on.However,the effect of vitamin A supplement on asthma is still controversial.
2. Application of massive open online course combined with traditional teaching in the teaching of pediatrics

Objective:
To investigate the effect of massive open online course (MOOC) combined with traditional teaching in the teaching of pediatrics.
Methods:
A total of 153 students in batch 2014 of five-year general medicine in Chongqing Medical University were enrolled as teaching reform group, and 132 students in batch 2013 were enrolled as control group. The teaching reform group adopted the teaching method of MOOC combined with traditional teaching, while the control group adopted traditional teaching alone. The teaching quality was assessed by examination performance and questionnaire survey.
