Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1987;0(02):-
Aim To observe the effects of propofol on nociceptive response at ventrolateral periaqueductal gray(vlPAG) of rats and the possible role of GABA_A receptor in this prosses. Methods Sprague-Dawley(SD) female rats were randomized into each group.Bicuculline and propofol were microinjected into ventrolateral periaqueductal gray(vlPAG).The noxious response was evaluated by hot plate and formalin test.Fos-like immunoreactivity(FLI) neurons expressed in spinal dorsal horn(DH) induced by formalin intraplantar injection(sc) of one hindpaw were used as a neuroactive marker to observe the effects of propofol on the noxious transmission in DH.Results In hot-plate test, the hyperalgesia induced by propofol(10 g?L~(-1)) vlPAG microinjection was significantly antagonized about(70%),(71%) at 10 and 20 min after (bicu-)culline(25 mg?L~(-1)) vlPAG microinjection(P

Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine 1992;0(07):-
Objective: A HPCE capillary zone eletrophoretic method for the determination of evodiamine in Fructus Evodia was established. Similarly, areliable HPCE-FPS (fingerprint spectrum) was applied to compare quality of Fructus Evodia to 14 samples of 3 species from different areas. Methods: The evodiamine was detected on 254nm and proteins was on 196nm、254nm by HPCE. The electrophoretic parameters were optimized by studying the efffect of the buffer composition. Results: Calibration graph was constructed in the range 1.944 ?g?mL -1~7.766 ?g?mL -1 for evodiamine (r=0.9974). The regression equation was y= 188.7x-32.1. The average recovery was 101.3 (n=3). In this paper, the proteins of Frutus Evodia HPCE-FPS was established at 196nm and 254nm. Conclusion: Content of evodiamine from Fructus Evodia was determined by HPCE-CZE and HPCE-FPS and distinguished three species from different growing areas related to intrinsic quality of them. The research provides new technique for evaluating quality of traditional Chinese medicine.

Objective To investigate the effects of propofol injected into rostral ventromedial medulla (RVM) on nociceptive responses and examine whether GABA_A resceptor is involved in the mechanism. Methods Sixty-four pathogen free SD rats of both sexes aged 2-3 months weighing 250-300 g were randomly divided into 4 groups ( n = 16 each): group I control (group C) ; group Ⅱ propofol (group P) ; group Ⅲ bicuculline (group B) and group Ⅳ B + P (group BP) . The animals were anesthetized with intraperitoneal 1% pentobarbital 50 mg/kg. Their heads were fixed with stereotactic apparatus. An tracar was inserted into RVM for microinjection of propofol and/or bicuculline. The noxious responses were evaluated by hot plate test (response latency was measured) and formalin test (intraplantar injection of 2.0% formalin 100 μl) . Pain was scored (0 = no pain, 3 = severe pain) . Results Both hot plate test and formalin test showed that hyperalgesia was induced by microinjection of propofol into RVM. In hot plate test hyperalgesia induced by injection of propofol (4μg/0.4μl) into RVM was antagonized at 20 min after microinjection of bicuculline (10 ng/0.4μl) into RVM. In formalin test pain scores were significantly lower at 1, 5,10,20,30,40,50 and 60 min after intraplantar formalin injection in group BP than in group P.Conclusion GABA_A receptor in RVM partially mediates propofol-induced hyperalgesia.

Objective To probe the diagnostic value of MRI in wounded feet which were negative on X-ray film. Methods 77 cases with wounded feet displayed normally on X-ray film underwent MRI,using SE/T1WI,TSE/SPIR/T2WI and 3D-water sel.-FFE.Results The abnormalities on MRI were found in 54 cases,of them,47 cases were within 30 days including bone contusion in 20 cases, muscle injury in 12 cases, bone contusion and muscle injury in 6 cases, bone contusion and soft tissue space injury in 2 cases, simple soft tissue space injury in 3 cases, tiny bone fracture in 3 cases and bone fracture in combination with contusion 1 case.7 cases were 30 days after trauma including cancellous bone sclerosis and little ossature deformity. Conclusion MRI is of important value in the wounded feet which are negative on X-ray film and have obvious symptom.

Journal of Endocrine Surgery 2010;04(6):367-370
Objective To explore the relationship between KAI1 gene expression in papillary thyroid carcinoma and clinicopathological features and prognosis. Methods KAI1 mRNA expression was detected by Real Time Polymerase Chain Reaction in 21 cases papillary thyroid carcinoma tissues and 21 cases adjacent normal tissues, as well as 7 cases benign thyroid disease tissues. KAI1 protein expression was detected by immunohistochemisty in 60 cases papillary thyroid carcinoma tissues and 20 cases thyroid adenoma tissues. Results KAI1 mRNA expression in papillary thyroid carcinoma was significantly higher than that in adjacent normal tissues (P < 0. 05) and benign thyroid lesion tissues (P < 0. 05). Positive expression rate of KAI1 protein was 68. 3% in papillary thyroid carcinoma and 25% in thyroid adenoma tissues. The difference was statistically significant (P <0. 01). In papillary thyroid carcinoma, positive expression rate of KAI1 protein in the group without lymph node metastasis was higher than that in group with lymph node metastasis (P<0.05). There was no difference in positive expression rate of KAI1 protein for male or female patients (P >0. 05). KAI1 protein expression in papillary thyroid carcinoma was not related to patients' ages, tumor size, TNM staging or capsule invasion (P > 0. 05). Conclusions The abnormal expression of KAI1 mRNA and protein is correlated to the genesis and progress of papillary thyroid carcinoma, which provides a clue for treatment and prognosis assessment of papillary thyroid carcinoma

Objective To establish a method of quick three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction of pubic symphysis based on magnetic resonance imaging. Methods The pelvis images of adult male were generated on a 3.0 T scanner using a T1 Gradient Echo FLASH-3D (T1- FL3D) sequence and imported the images into medical image control system. Segmentation of binaryzation threshold was conducted and pelvic soft tissue image was extracted by regional growth, 3D structure model of pubic symphysis was obtained by Boolean operation. The 3D structure model of pubic symphysis was established by the noise reduction of reverse engineering software. And compared with the 3D reconstruction model pubic bone CT scan. Results The morphological characters of the MRI pubic symphysis 3D model, such as the ridges and furrows on the symphysial surface, lower extremity, dorsal margin (beveling), margin (beveling) and pubic tubercle, were highly consistent with the morphological characters of the 3D model established by CT scan. Conclusion MRI scan can be used to reconstruct the 3D structure of pubic symphysis quickly and effectively, and it can provide a safe radiation-free 3D visualization imaging technique for forensic age estimation for the living.
