Objective To understand the cleaning quality of dental handpieces in Suzhou City, analyze the relevant factors that influencing cleaning effect. Methods A cross-sectional study was performed with the proportional system sampling method, questionnaires were adopted to investigate the cleaning location, cleaning method and process of dental handpieces, the ATP fluorescence detection method was conducted to detect cleaning quality. Results In 10 administrative regions of this city, a total of 72 medical institutions were selected, 25 were public medical oral diagnosis and treatment institutions, 47 were private clinics.Cleaning effect of automatic handpiece cleaning machine was better than traditional manual cleaning (unqualified rate :3.95% vs 11.96%, P<0.05), unqualified rate of handpieces cleaned by cleaning personnel without inadequate knowledge was higher than that by personnel with adequate knowledge(14.88% vs 3.57%, P<0.05).Qualified rate of cleaning: different cleaning locations ranged from 5.00% to 11.23%, cleaning equipment was inadequate and sufficient 11.89% and 7.29% respectively, cleaning personnel were not designated and designated 12.16% and 9.83% respectively, but the difference were not statistically significant (all P>0.05).The quality of cleaning of handpieces could be improved if waiting time of cleaning ≤30 minutes, enzymes were used during cleaning, and purified water was used at the end rinse(all P<0.05);whether there was drying process and used lubricant, difference were both not significant. Conclusion Using automatic handpiece cleaning machine, cleaning personnel with adequate knowledge, cleaning waiting time ≤30 minutes, enzyme use during the cleaning process, and purified water use at the end rinse can improve the quality of cleaning of dental handpieces.

cleaning and disinfection. Results All 28 surveyed medical institutions had separate endoscope disinfection rooms, 89.29% of which had integrated endoscopic cleaning station,17.86% had automatic endoscope washer/disinfector;100% used multi-enzymatic detergent, chose the right disinfectant, monitored disinfectant concentration every day, and implemented standard disinfection time. But only 39.29% changed multi-enzymatic detergent for each endo-scope,cleaning and disinfection personnel in 78.57% of medical institutions wore personal protective equipment correctly.77 digestive endoscopes were detected, the qualified rate was 88.31%.Conclusion Cleaning and disin-fection management of digestive endoscope in secondary and above medical institutions in Suzhou City is generally standardized, there are still some problems in the manipulation procedures, relevant national regulations should be strictly complied with, efficacy of cleaning and disinfection of digestive endoscope should be further improved.

OBJECTIVETo analyze mutations of SLC26A4 gene and explore their origins for a patient with enlarge vestibuar aqueduct syndrome.
METHODSClinical data and peripheral venous blood samples were collected from the patient and her parents. Genome DNA was extracted from the peripheral blood. All of the 21 exons of the SLC26A4 gene were amplified with PCR and subjected to directly sequencing.
RESULTSThe patient was found to have carried two mutant alleles of the SLC26A4 gene, namely c.1522A to G and c.1229C to T, which were inherited from her father and mother, respectively.
CONCLUSIONSLC26A4 c.1522A to G is likely to be a pathogenic mutation. Above results may facilitate genetic counseling and prenatal diagnosis for this family.

Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2019;26(18):2300-2304
Motor neuron disease(MND) is a group of progressive motor neuron diseases and the pathogenesis is not well defined. The pathologic hallmark of MND is death of lower motor neurons(consisting of anterior horn cells in the spinal cord and their brainstem homologues innervating bulbar muscles) and upper, or corticospinal, motor neurons. The clinical manifestations of MND are mucsle weakness, muscle atrophy, fasciculations, bulbar paralysis and positive pyramidal signs.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) named MND as flaccidity syndrome.Recently, some scholars have proposed that "MND" can be regarded as an independent research object of TCM.At present, symptomatic supportive treatment is the main treatment for MMD in western medicine, which can only slow the progress of the disease.TCM treatment for MND has advantages of more effective than western medicine, fewer adverse reactions and lower price. So TCM can be used as an effective method for combined treatment of MND.This article reviews the research progress of syndrome and treatment of MND with TCM.

Acta Universitatis Medicinalis Anhui 2023;58(10):1743-1749
Objective :
To investigate the effect and mechanism of ARRB1 on Armillariella tabescens polysaccharides reversal of 5-fluorouracil ( 5-FU ) -induced chemotherapeutic intestinal mucosal injury.
Methods :
Twelve ARRB1 knockout ( ARRB1 -/ - ) and wild-type ( WT) C57BL /6 mice were randomly divided into Control,Model and ATPS groups (200 mg / kg) ,respectively.5-FU (50 mg / kg) was injected intraperitoneally for 7 days to establish a model of chemotherapeutic intestinal mucosal injury. The histopathological damage of jejunum was evaluated by HE staining ; the activity of serum superoxide dismutase (SOD) and diamine oxidase (DAO) was measured by kits ; the expression of tight junction protein (TJ) markers ZO-1,Occludin,Claudin-1 and proliferation-associated protein Ki-67 was detected by immunohistochemistry.Crypt isolation and organoid culture were used to detect the growth status of small intestinal organoids.
Results :
5-FU chemotherapy reduced body weight, aggravated histopathological damage in small intestine, decreased SOD level,TJ protein and Ki-67 protein expression, increased serum DAO level, decreased spherical structure formation rate and organoid formation rate ; compared with the model group, after ATPS treatment,WT mice recovered body weight, decreased pathological damage, increased serum SOD level,TJ protein and Ki-67 protein expression,DAO levels decreased, and the rates of spherical structure for- mation and organoid formation were significantly higher.However,ARRB1 -/ - mice failed to reverse the effect of 5- FU after ATPS treatment.
Conclusion
ATPS reverses 5-FU-induced intestinal mucositis through the protective effects of ARRB1 on intestinal barrier and organoid growth.

Acta Universitatis Medicinalis Anhui 2023;58(6):902-907
Objective:
To investigate the reversal effect of cinobufagin ( CINO) combined with 5-fluorouracil (5- FU) on human colorectal cancer ( CRC) drug-resistant cell line HCT15 /5-FU,and to clarify the regulatory role of hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1 α) / vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) pathway in reversing chemoresistance of colorectal cancer.
Methods :
MTT assay was used to detect the changes of drug resistance and drug resistance index, flow cytometry was used to evaluate the apoptosis of cells ,scratch test and Transwell assay were used to detect the changes of cell migration and invasion ability.Western blot was used to detect the expressions of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) related proteins and HIF-1 α/ VEGF pathway-related proteins.
Results:
Compared with HCT15 cells, the resistance index of HCT15 /5-FU was about 8. 720. CINO combined with 5-FU could significantly enhance the drug sensitivity of HCT15 /5-FU cells, reduce drug resistance index,up-regulate the level of apoptosis, and inhibit cell migration and invasion in a dose-dependent manner.Western blot results showed that CINO combined with 5-FU could inhibit the activity of EMT and HIF-1 α/ VEGF pathway.
Conclusion
CINO can reverse 5-FU resistance of colorectal cancer in vitro, and its mechanism may be related to the regulation of the HIF-1 α/ VEGF pathway and the inhibition of EMT and angiogenesis.
