AIM To study the protective effects of xanthones: 1,8 dihydroxy 3,5 dimethoxyxanthone(Xan Ⅰ); 1 hydroxy 3,5 dimethoxyxanthone(Xan Ⅱ);1 hydroxy 3,7,8 trithoxyxanthone(Xan Ⅲ) from Canscora lucidissima on ischemia reperfusion injury exaggerated by activation of Na +/H + exchange system. METHODS The perfused isovolumic contracting rat hearts were subjected to 20 mmol?L -1 NH 4Cl loading for promoting the Na +/H + exchange in the model of ischemic reperfusion injury and the protective effects being pretreated with Xans on the injury were examed. RESULTS Xans could relieve the effects: activation of Na +/H + exchange inhibited the recovery of ventricular function significantly, and exacerbated the myocardial injury as evidenced by increase in release of LDH, associated with the accumulation of intracellular Na +,Ca 2+ and the loss of intracelullar K +. CONCLUSION Xans has the protective effects on ischemic reperfusion injury exacerbated by activation of Na +/H + exchange system.

AIM To investigate the role of Trp3 in the Ca 2+ influx induced by ? 1B AR in HEK293 cells and the effect of tyrosine kinase on it. METHODS With lipofect AMINE2000 reagent, hTrp3 cDNA was transfected to HEK293 cells and ? 1B HEK293 cells respectively. The expression of Trp3 was examined by Western blot. With Fura 2/AM spectrophoto fluorometry, Ca 2+ influx was determined. RESULTS HTrp3 was expressed endogenously in HEK293 cells, and the expression increased in hTrp3 transfected cells. Compared with untransfected cells, transfection of hTrp3 cDNA increased Ca 2+ influx induced by ? 1B AR ( P 0 05). 5～30 ?mol?L -1 genistein inhibited Ca 2+ influx induced by ? 1B AR in hTrp3 cDNA transfected cells and the maximum inhibitory rate was (75 2?12 6)% . CONCLUSION Transfection of hTrp3 cDNA increased Ca 2+ influx induced by ? 1B AR in HEK293 cells. This process was regulated by tyrosine kinase.

AIM To investigate the effect of ClC-3 antisense oligonucleotide on apoptosis induced by thapsigargin in PC12 cells. METHODS Western-blot was performed to detect the protein expression of ClC-3 in PC12 cells. MTT assay was used to measure the effect of ClC-3 antisense oligonucleotide on growth inhibition induced by thapsigargin. The effect of ClC-3 antisense oligonucleotide on apoptosis was studied with the fluorescent microscopy, DNA agarose gel electrophoresis, flow cytometry analysis. Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of matrix gamma carboxy glutamic acid protein(MGP) for coronary heart disease(CHD) .Methods Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay was performed for the detection of serum MGP level in health‐y subjects and CHD patients with different coronary artery calcium score(CACS) .Receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve was used to analyze the diagnostic value of MGP for CHD .Results Between CHD patients and healthy subjects ,and CHD patients with different CACS ,the difference of serum MGP level was significant ,and serum MGP level was positively correlated with CACS (P<0 .05) .ROC curve of showed that the area under ROC curve was 0 .667 ,the diagnostic threshold was 70 .69 pg/mL ,the diag‐nostic sensitivity was 58 .80% ,the specificity was 83 .70% and the Youden index was 0 .425 .Conclusion CHD patients might be with abnormal serum MGP level ,which could be positively correlated with CACS .MGP might be with significant value for the diag‐nosis of CHD ,could be useful for the clinical prevention and early diagnosis of CHD .

OBJECTIVE:To reduce the incidence of irrational medical orders for parenteral nutrition,and promote the rational use of parenteral nutrition. METHODS:The medical orders for parenteral nutrition of the first quarter of 2016 in general surgery de-partment of our hospital were collected,and the number and types of its irrational medical orders were summed up. Then FO-CUS-PDCA(Find-organize-clarify-understand-select-plan-do-check-act)cycle management was adopted to analyze and improve the existing problems in issuing medical orders for parenteral nutrition. The improved(the third quarter of 2016)medical orders for par-enteral nutrition were collected,the number and types of its irrational medical orders were summed up,and management effect was evaluated. RESULTS:Establishing nutrition support group,strengthening the training and communication of medical staff,adding prescription evaluation module for parenteral nutrition in hospital information system and a number of measures had made the inci-dence of irrational medical orders for parenteral nutrition in general surgery department declined from 48.25%(1433/2970)before improvement to 5.67%(120/2118)after improvement. The incidences of cation excess,inappropriate selection of drugs and inap-propriate compatibility in irrational types were 0. CONCLUSIONS:FOCUS-PDCA cycle management can reduce the irrational rate of medical orders for parenteral nutrition and promote the rational use of parenteral nutrition in hospital.

Objective:To understand the impact of intimate social networks and sexual networks on HIV-infection in men aged ≥50 years in Pengzhou, Sichuan Province, and provide reference for the formulation of HIV/AIDS prevention and control strategies in middle-aged and elderly people.Methods:A case-control study was conducted by an interview-style questionnaire survey in a case group consisted of 114 men aged ≥50 years and a control group consisted of 423 healthy men matched by age frequency in Pengzhou, Sichuan Province, from April 2019 to October 2020, and the influencing factors of HIV infection were identified by unconditional stepwise logistic regression analysis.Results:Among the 114 cases, 63.16% (72/114) and 96.49% (110/114) of men had intimate social network size and sexual network size ≥4 people, which were higher than the control group of 23.40% (99/423) and 11.58% (49/423) (all P<0.05).The overlap of intimate social network and sexual network was 49.12% (56/114) in the case group, which was lower than that in the control group (82.27%, 348/423)( P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that the size of the intimate social network ≥4 people ( OR=8.66, 95 %CI: 2.01-37.30), the size of the sexual network ≥4 people ( OR=1 121.11, 95% CI: 28.38-4 429.61), the material support from the first intimate network member ( OR=6.39, 95% CI: 1.03-39.75), and multiple sexual partners ( OR=55.50, 95% CI: 6.22-494.96) were the risk factors of HIV-infection in men aged ≥50 years. Receiving health education about AIDS ( OR=0.07, 95% CI: 0.01-0.37), high sexual satisfaction with the first sexual partner and good personal relationship ( OR=0.02, 95% CI: 0.01-0.59; OR=0.01, 95% CI: 0.01-0.26), and the overlap between intimate social network and sexual network ( OR=0.02, 95% CI: 0.01-0.38) were the protective factors of HIV-infection in men aged ≥50 years. Conclusions:The overlap of intimate social network and sexual network can reduce the risk of HIV-infection in men aged ≥50 years. It is important to help middle-aged and elderly men to build good and stable intimate social and sexual networks to meet their social communication and sex demands and prevent HIV infection by reducing high riak sexual behaviors.

Objective:To develop and validate gas chromatographic methods for the determination of residual benzene in carbomer copolymer,carbomer homopolymer and carbomer interpolymer,to address the issues of the current method in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia in the actual detection process,such as low sensitivity and poor repeatability of benzene detection in the mixed reference solution,and to optimize and improve the current stand-ards for series of carbomer pharmaceutical excipients.Methods:Samples were separated on a column DB-624(30 m ×0.530 mm,3.00 μm)with temperature programming,the inlet temperature of 140 ℃,the detector tem-perature of 250 ℃,and the split ratio of 5∶1.The external standard method was adopted for the quantitative deter-mination of residual benzene.Results:The linearity was great across the range of 0.04-1.00 μg·mL-1(r=0.996 8),the injection precision of benzene was 6.8％(n=6),and the average recovery rate was 96.89％(RSD=8.1％,n=9).Conclusion:The gas chromatographic method established in this research is more specif-ic,with higher accuracy and precision compared to the current method in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia.This optimized method is more suitable for the determination of residual benzene content in carbomer copolymer,car-bomer homopolymer and carbomer interpolymer,providing reference and guidance for the quality management and the control of carbomer.

A 54-year-old man was admitted to respiratory department with chief complaints of recurrent cough and dyspnea. Chest imaging showed multiple patchy shadows and interstitial changes. Evidence of infectious diseases was not definite, and antibiotic treatments were not effective. In the meantime, myelodysplasia syndrome was diagnosed with pancytopenia. The pathologic findings of transbronchoscopic lung biopsyshowed chronic inflammatory interstitial changes, suggesting a clinical diagnosis of organizing pneumonia. After glucocorticoids treatment, his condition aggravated. The second percutaneous lung biopsy showed the infiltration of a large number of neutrophils. Therefore, the final diagnosis of myelodysplasia syndrome with Sweet syndrome was made. Then glucocorticoids and supportive treatment were given This case may improve physicians' understanding of myelodysplasia syndrome complicated with Sweet syndrome.
