Objective:To describe the status of self-rated health(SRH)among the elderly and find out the relationship between SRH and other health measures such as two weeks prevalence and chronic disease prevalence.Methods:The data used was generated from cross-sectional household health survey conducted in the year of 2009 in Shunyi district,Beijing.SPSS software was used to conduct univariate and multivariate liner regression analysis with self-rated health.Results:The average score of self-rated health among the elderly is 72.49.Univariate analyses suggest that are age,sex,marital status,income level,education,employment,medical insurance type,self-perceived anxious or depression,disease state are all associated with poor SRH score.Multiple liner regression model shows that age,job,medical insurance,self-perceived anxious or depression,suffer from two-week illness and chronic disease had effects on SRH of the elderly.Conclusion:Physical and psychological unhealthy are independent risk factors of SRH among the elderly,disease status is the most influential predictor on SRH score.Thus,a single measurement of SRH question can be used in health status assessment of the elderly.

Objective To analyze the diagnostic values of ultrasonography and computed tomography (CT)for gallbladder adenomyomatosis. Methods The ultrasound and CT findings of 28 cases of pathologically confirmed gallbladder adenomyomatosis in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed.The diagnostic values of the two imaging tools for gallbladder adenomyomatosis were analyzed with the pathological diagnosis as the gold standard.Comparison of rates was made by chi-square test;multiple comparisons of rates were made by partition of chi-square.Results Before operation,among the 28 patients,15 were diagnosed with gallbladder adenomyomatosis by ultrasonography,and 9 were diagnosed by CT;the diag-nostic rate of CT was 32.14%,and the diagnostic rate of ultrasonography was 53.57%.The chi-square test showed no difference between the di-agnostic rates of ultrasonography and CT for gallbladder adenomyomatosis (χ2 =2.63,P=0.10>0.05).In addition,the statistical results showed no differences between the diagnostic rates of ultrasonography and CT for various types of gallbladder adenomyomatosis (segmental type:χ2 =0,P=0.11>0.0125;diffuse type:χ2 =2.57,P=1.00>0.0125;focal type:χ2 =1.42,P=0.23>0.0125).Conclusion CT and ultrasonography are two important imaging methods for the diagnosis of gallbladder adenomyomatosis.The detection rate of gallbladder adenomyomatosis can be in-creased through the combination of convex array probe and linear array probe in ultrasonography.

Ginsenosides in the decoction of Radix Ginseng, Radix Ginseng with Flos Lonicerae, Radix Polygoni Multiflori or Radix Astragali have been investigated by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and electrospray ionization mass spectrometric method (ESI-MS). Change of the content of ginsenosides was nonlinear in diverse combinative proportion of Radix Ginseng with Flos Lonicerae, while the stripping of ginsenosides was promoted by a small amount of Radix Polygoni Multiflori. In the combinative decoction of Radix Ginseng with Radix Astragali, ginsenosides contents were increased compared to single decoction of Radix Ginseng. Besides, ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) method was developed for determination of the total antioxidative activity of n-butanol and water-soluble extracts from the decoction. The experimental results showed that antioxidative activity was better in the combinative decoction than that in single decoction, and the FRAP values of n-butanol extract were also greater compared with that of water extract.

Objective To study the proper desiccation and the expiry date for humidifier after disinfection, and then decline the incidence rate of infection in hospital. Methods Divided 84 humidifiers into the A and B groups randomly after disinfection, there were 42 humidifiers in the each group. The natural desiccation was used in the A group, the oxygen desiccation was used in the B group. Monitored the humidifiers of the two groups respectively lasted 7 days, and then compare the datum between them. Results The expiry date of the humidifiers which have dried by natural desiccation was longer than that of humidifiers which have dried by oxygen desiccation. Conclusion We should set down the expiry date for humidifier according to the different desiccation and the different seasons.

Objective To investigate the distribution and antibiotic resistance of pathogens isolated from inpatients with urinary tract infections.Methods A retrospective analysis was carried out on 1033 strains of pathogens isolated from urine culture in patients with urinary tract infections in Zhejiang Xiaoshan Hospital during January 2009 and December 2011.Urine specimens were cultured with Uricult,and K-B method was used for drug susceptibility test,WHONET 5.6 software was used to analyse drug susceptibility test.Results Among 1033 strains of pathogens,681 (65.9％) were gram-negative bacteria,197 (19.1％) were gram-positive bacteria,and 155 (15.0％) were fungi.The three most prevalent bacteria were Escherichia coli (402 strains,38.9％),Klebsiella pneumoniae (74 strains,7.2％) and Candida albicans (64 strains,6.2％).60.7％ (244/402) of Escherichia coli and 45.9％ (34/74) of Klebsiella pneumoniae were extended-spectrum β-lactamases (ESBLs) positive.Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae were susceptible to imipenem,meropenem,cefoperazone/sulbactam,piperacillin/tazobactam and amikacin.Enterococcus and staphylococcus were susceptible to vancomycin,linezolid and furadantin.Candida was sensitive to flucytosine,voriconazole and amphotericin B.Conclusion Gram-negative bacteria mainly E.coli is the predominant pathogen to urinary tract infections in this group of patients.Regular analysis and monitoring of pathogen species and drug resistance is important for rational use of antibiotics.

This article straightens up the historical origin and development of four methods of flying through the air.

Objective To understand the levels of calcium ,iron ,zinc and lead elements among children in Weihai area and their change rule in different age periods so as to provide a theoretical guidance for the prevention of related element deficiency and lead poisoning .Methods The levels of lead ,zinc ,calcium and iron were detected in 1 406 children going to our hospital were deected and the results were analyzed .Results The children′s calcium element level in Weihai area showed a declining trend with the age in‐crease ,while the Zn ,Fe and Pb elements levels demonstrated a upward trend .One hundred and three cases of hypocalcemia were de‐tected ,318 cases of low blood iron ,283 cases of low blood zinc and 11 cases of high blood lead were detected in this time .The blood calcium and lead levels had no statistically significance difference among different age groups (P>0 .05);the serum iron and serum zinc levels had statistical different between the 0-1 year old group and other age groups(P<0 .05) .Conclusion The distribution trend of trace elements levels among children in Weihai area is accord with general rule .The incidence rates of low blood zinc and low blood iron are higher .The children′s trace elements levels should be regularly detected .

Objective To observe the effect of midazolam plus propofol administered for colonoscopy on cognitive function in middle-aged and aged patients. Methods One hundred and thirty six patients, ASA I and II, aged 40~75 years and undergoing colonoscopy were randomized to propofol group (group P, n=68) and propofol plus midazolam group (group PM, n=68). Baseline cognitive function was measured using Mini mental state exami-nation (MMSE) before anesthesia and the cognitive testing was repeated 10 minutes after emerging from anesthesia. BP, HR, SpO2, analgesic effect and sedative drug doses in both groups were recorded. Procedure time, recovery time and Rasmay sedation score were both recorded. Results Recovery time was significantly longer in group PM than that in group P (P<0.05). The total dose of propofol was significantly smaller in group PM than that in group P (P<0.05). MMSE score of both groups decreased, but the incidence of cognitive decline and the level of cognition in group PM were more notable than those of group P (P<0.05). Conclusions Midazolam plus propofol and propo-fol alone administered for colonoscopy could both increase the incidence of cognitive decline, and the effect of the former is more notable, but midazolam added to propofol could reduce the dosage of propofol.
