1.miR-200 family and its mechanism
Journal of International Oncology 2011;38(7):486-489
MiR-200 family is a cluster of miRNAs closely linked to EMT. The miR-200 family contains miR-200a, miR-200b, miR-200c, miR-141 and miR-429. Many studies have shown that miR-200 family are key regulators of EMT and determine the epithelial phenotype. They are important to both EMT development and tumor progression. This paper reviews the advancement in the research of miR-200 family and its mechanism.
2.Expression of survivin and its clinical significance in non-small cell lung cancer
Journal of Peking University(Health Sciences) 2003;0(05):-
Objective: To investigate the expression of survivin in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and analyze its relationship with clinic opathological features and the expression of p53. Methods: The expression of survivin and p53 in 61 cases of NSCLC were detected by immunohistochemistry using monoclonal antibodies against human survivin protein and P53, respectively. Results: The expression of survivin in NSCLC could be detected in cytoplasm and/or in nucleus. The overall immunoreactivity was found in 77.0% (47/61) of tumors. Cytoplasmic, nuclear and both immunoreactivities were present in 26.2% (16/61), 8.2% (5/61) and 42.62%(26/61) respectively. The cytoplasmic and nuclear immunoreactivities in squamous cell carcinoma (57.6%, 19/33) were higher than that in adenocarcinoma (25%, 7/28) and there was significant difference (P

Objective To explore the diagnosis and treatment of heterotopic pancreas. Methods A total of 21 histologically confirmed cases of heterotopic pancreas were treated in our Department from 1986 to 1998. We retrospectively analyzed the major clinical symptoms, pathogenesis, diagnostic procedure, results of operation and pathological findings. Results Among all the patients, 9 presenting with severe symptoms were surgically treated and the prognosis was fine. Of the 9 patients, 5 had epigastric pain, 2 obstructive and 2 massive digestive hemorrhage. The other 12 asymptomatic cases were followed up for 1.8 to 12 years. It was difficult to diagnose the disease by clinical situation, observation and imaging examination and only pathological examination could provide the final diagnosis. Conclusions Cases of heterotopic pancreas with symptoms should be surgically managed and the results of resection is satisfactory. Long term follow up needs to be conducted for those asymptomatic cases.

Notch signaling pathway is a highly conserved signaling pathway ,and plays an important role in the individual growth and development process in the vertebrate .Many studies have demonstrated Notch 3 re-ceptor expression is aberrant in a variety of tumors .Recent studies show that aberrant Notch 3 mediated signaling pathway is closely related with the progression of diverse types of tumors .Notch3 plays a vital role in apoptosis , proliferation and differentiation of tumor cells .To promote the studies of Notch 3 as a drug development targets ,the molecular mechanisms of abnormal Notch 3 expression and its role on tumorgenesis ,progression and treatment re-sistance are reviewed in this paper .

Targeted cancer therapy is one of the modalities to increase efficiency and decrease adverse effects of chemotherapy, and the selection of drug vector system is of importance for targeted therapy. An ideal adriamycin targeted vector system should have maximal efficacy and minimal adverse effects in inhibiting cancer cells through different mechanisms. This article reviews the recent progress in adriamycin targeted therapy, including the modes of adriamycin administration, the selection of drug vectors,as well as other chemotherapeutic drugs in targeted therapy of liver carcinoma.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of cutting ballon angioplasty (CBA) in small vessel diffuse lesion Methods 44 patients with 48 lesions underwent successful coronary angioplasty with cutting ballon angioplasty Results All of the lesions were treated successfully by 4 6?2 4 times dilation of cutting ballon The total duration of ballon inflation was (227 4?102 3) s The lesions were dilated at a pressure up to (901 8?222 9) kPa The severity of vascular stenosis lessened obviously [(88 6?7 9)% vs (16 8?15 4)%, P =0 001] without severe complications Conclusion Cutting ballon angioplasty (CBA) on small vessel diffuse lesion is safty and effective

Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery 2001;0(04):-
Objective To study preventive measures against conversions to open surgery during laparoscopic cholecystectomy(LC).Methods The study was based on 25 cases of conversions to laparotomy out of 852 cases of LC(2.93%)from December 1999 to October 2005 in this hospital. The clinical data revealed a bile duct injury in 3 cases, bleeding in 1 case, severe adhesion in abdominal cavity or between the gallbladder and neighboring tissues in 9 cases, disturbed anatomy and adhesion in the region of the Calot's triangle in 5 cases, cholecystoduodenal fistula in 2 cases, and Mirizzi syndrome(type Ⅱ)in 5 cases. Results The conversion to open surgery was successfully completed in all the 25 cases. No complication was encountered.Follow-up examinations for 1~2 years showed no bile duct stenosis. Conclusions Proper preoperative patient selection and use of intraoperative preventive measures are helpful to minimize the possibility of conversion to open surgery.

Chinese Journal of Interventional Cardiology 1993;0(02):-
Objective To evaluate the clinical effect and safety of the thrombus aspirated catheter (DIVER~(TM)) in primary PCI for acute myocardial infarction. Methods Seventy four AMI patients with total occluded infarct-related coronary artery(IRA)and intra-coronary thrombus from March 2005 to April 2006 were divided into two groups according to admission time and the treatment they received. After the 0.014 in BMW coronary wire crossed the lesion, the thrombus aspirated catheter (DIVERTM) was advanced over the wire to the lesion and continuously aspirated 2-3 times until the thrombus disappeared and stents were directly implanted in patients in group A (n=36) admitted from December 2005 to April 2006. Routine PCI applied in patients in group B (n=38) admitted from March 2005 to December 2005. Sirolimus eluting stents were implanted in both groups. The artery re-opened rate, no-reflow rate and the rate of major adverse cardiac events during hospitalization and 6 months after discharge were compared between two groups. Results Coronary arteriography showed the artery re-opened rate was 100% in both groups. The rates of no-reflow and major adverse cardiac events during hospital stay were significantly lower in group A than those in group B (2.78% vs 21.05% and 2.78% vs 10.53% respectively,P

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1982;0(01):-
A composite material of decalcified bone matrix (DBM) and bone cement (BC) combined with bovine bone morphogenitic protein (bBMP) was used to repair canine femoral defect caused by microwave induced hyperthermia. The composite material was examined with scan electron microscope and its biomechanical properties were assessed. Then a canine femoral defect was produced by microwave induced hyperthermia, and the composite material was implanted. Then the femurs were examined with X ray, 99m Tc MDP bone scintigraphy, histology and biomechanics at different postoperative periods. It was found that DBM and BC were tightly connected in a multipolar mode with irregular gaps in a diameter of 400?m to 800?m. Callus was formed in the first month and its amount was most abundant in the third month as shown by X ray examination. The new bone was formed in the composite material, and it was confirmed by bone scintigraphy and histology. The border of new bone was connected with the normal bone. So the composite material could merge with the normal bone finally.
