Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2013;20(9):1338-1340
Objective To investigate the imaging techniques of enhanced T1 high resolution isotropic volume examination (e-THRIVE) multi-phase dynamic contrast-enhanced scanning technology. Methods 83 patients with liver diseases underwent routine and contrast-enhanced MR scanning.e-THRIVE axial volume scan was used in contrast enhanced MRI.The raw data acquired were post-processed with maximum intensity projection(MIP) technique, and to observe the esophageal and gastric varicose vein's display in different injection rates of contrast agent with delayed scan time. Results The varciation of esophageal and gastric blood vessels in 79 cases were detected, the MIP images showed the overall effect of varicose blood vessels, and the axial images displayed that varicose blood vessels' location,in the submucosal or the inside or outside of the lumens. The ratio of high-quality image reached 72%.Conclusion The high-quality vascular imaging technology of e-THRIVE depends on appropriate injection rate and the right amount of contrast agent, the best delayed scanning time and patients with good breath-hold.

PSP94 TNF?D11a naked plasmid intramuscular injection on intact mice.PSP94 TNF?D11a cDNA cloned in pcDNA3,an eukarocytic experssion plasmid, was intramuscularly injected into the quadriceps muscle of 39 mice (50?g each). Serum was collected .The expression of fusion protein was detected by ELISA.Uninjected mice were used as control.RNA of PSP94 TNF?D11a from tissue of skeletal muscle was determined using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction analysis. The result showed that the levels of expressed protein were remarkably elevated in the serum nine days after the injection of naked plasmid DNA ,peaking on the fourteen days ,and maintaining at a detectable level up to 25 days.

Objective To investigate the expressions of hypoxia-inducible factor-1 alpha (HIF-1?) and its relation with secondary brain damage in perihematomal issue in human intracerebral hemorrhage. Methods Perihematomal brain issue were collected in the course of evacuation of hematoma in 32 patients with hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage. Expressions of HIF-1? were observed by immunohistochemistry and the neuronal apoptosis were observed by terminal deoxynucleotidyl transterrase mediate dUIP nick end labeling (TUNEL) staining and HE staining. Results HIF-1? protein immunohistochemical staining positive cells ((2.8?0.8)/HP) were identified dispersedly from 4 h after acute hemorrhagic stroke in perihematomal brain issue, and reached the peak at 24—48 h ((12.5?3.9)/HP). The expressions of HIF-1? kept high at 49—72 h ((12.2?1.8)/HP) after acute hemorrhagic stroke. Nervous cells and vascular endothelium cells had been swelled at 4 h after acute hemorrhagic stroke. TUNEL positive cells appeared from 12 h ((11.2?4.1)/HP), increased markedly at 24—48 h ((29.7?8.4)/HP), and reached the peak ((33.2?4.3)/HP) at 49—72 h after acute hemorrhagic stroke. There was a statistically significant correlation between HIF-1? expressions and TUNEL positive cells (r=0.788, t=7.02, P

Objective To study the relationship between the serum levels of thyroid hormone and the degree of the congestive heart failure as well as the effects of thyroxine on elderly patients with chronic severe congestive heart failure(CHF). Methods 140 cases were divided into group A (60 cases of CHF classes Ⅰ and Ⅱ) and group B (80 cases of CHF classes Ⅲ and Ⅳ) according to the NYHA classification of severity of heart failure. The group B was divided into the observation group (50 cases) and the control group (30 cases) . All patients were treated with conventional methods and thyroxine 20-40 ?g every morning was added in the observation group for 4 weeks. The serum FT 3 ,FT 4 ,TSH,HR,echocardiography and heart function were examined before and after treatment. Results ⑴ Both group A and B had lower base line serum FT 3 and FT 4 ,which were significantly lower in the group B than those in the group A 〔FT 3 : (4.22?0.61) pmol/L vs(3.07?1.10)pmol/L,P

Objective To investigate the changes and its significance of expression of platelet CD62p,CD42b and the levels of plasma TXB2,6-keto-PGFla and vWF in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage. Methods 46 patients with intracerebral hemorrhage were included as the intracerebral hemorrhage group, while 20 patients with hypertension were served as the control group.Platelet CD62p and CD42b were measured by flow cytometry, and plasma TXB2,6-keto-PGF1a and vWF were measured by ELISA at less than 3 day,1 and 2 weeks after onset. The analysis of dependablit were made between the expression of platelet CD62p,CD42b and the level of plasma vWF in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage. Results At less than 3 day,1 and 2 weeks after onset, the expression of platelet CD62p,levels of plasma TXB2,vWF and TXB2/6-keto-PGFla(T/K)in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage were significantly higher than those in the control group(all P

Objective To observe the effects of the different serum uric acid levels on expression of Alzheimer’s disease biomarkers (APP and BACE1) in rats. Methods Intraperitoneal injection of oxygen of oxazine acid potassium was used to produce HUA models in rats. H&E staining was used to detect the morphological changes of the hippocampus. Western blot was used to detect the protein levels of APP and BACE1 of the hippocampus. Results Compared with nor-mal control group, the serum uric acid and the protein levels of APP and BACE1 in the hippocampus was obviously in-creased at OAPS treatment group (P<0.01). Compared with low dose OAPS treatment group, the serum uric acid level was significantly increased whereas the protein levels of APP and BACE1 in the hippocampus were significantly decreased at the middle and high dose group (P<0.01). Compared with middle dose group, the serum uric acid level was increased at high dose group (P<0.05) and the expression of APP were decreased in the hippocampus rats but the expression of BACE1 remained unchanged (P>0.05). Conclusion The higher level of serum uric acid may be a protective factor of AD. The higher serum uric acid levels, the lower the risk of AD.

At present, the pathophysiological mechanisms of progressive stroke remain unclear. It is difficult to accurately predict which patients will have deterioration of neurological function. 1he factors of blood pressure, C-reactive protein concentration, cerebral artery stenosis, hyperglycemia, and infarct location in early stroke are closely associated with progressive stroke. It has some predictive values for its occurrence.

AIM:To investigate the effects of poly (I:C) as virus mimics on iodine excess-induced chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis in NOD mouse. METHODS:Female,32 NOD mice were randomly divided into 4 groups:(1) control; (2) high iodine; (3) poly (I:C); (4) high iodine+poly (I:C). Nine weeks after administration, mice were sacrificed. The following parameters were determined:body weight, thyroid weight and anatomic form. Thyroid hormone (T4) in serum was measured by radioimmunoassay, the thyroid morphology was observed through HE staining, apoptosis was detected by TUNEL,the mRNA expression levels of TRAIL,TRAIL-sR1,ICAM-1 and CXCL10 were determined by the method of real time RT-PCR. RESULTS:Compared to control group and poly (I:C) group, the thyroid absolute weight and relative weight in high iodine group were increased (P0.05). CONCLUSION:Poly (I:C) aggravates chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis induced by excess of iodine associated with increase in infiltration of lymphocytes and induction of apoptosis.
