1.Expression of Multidrug Resistance Gene of the Malignant Lymphoma at Nasalcavity or Pharynx Nasalis:A Clinical Study
China Pharmacy 2001;0(11):-
OBJECTIVE:To discuss the clinical significance of the expression of P- glycoprotein(P-gp),the multidrug resistance gene - 1(MDR - 1) expression product in the malignant lymphoma of nasalcavity and pharynx nasalis.METHODS: The expression of P - gp in the malignancy lymphoma of nasalcavity and pharynx nasalis of 37 cases was detected by S - P Immunohistochemical staining, and its correlations with patents' first visit, return visit, original sites, pathological type, immunohistochemical typing and prognosis were analyzed.RESULTS:Positive P- gp expression appeared in 87.5%(7/8) of the patients for return visit vs.34.5%(10/29) for first visit and 70.0%(7/10) with malignant lymphoma at pharynx nasalis vs.37.0%(10/27) with malignant lymphoma at nasal cavity, all showing significant differences. There were also significant differences in drug resistance between the patients with positive P- gp expression and those with negative P- gp expression (88.2%(15/17) vs.10.0%(2/20)).CONCLUSION:Positive P-gp expression serves as scientific basis for clinicians in predicating drug resistance and selecting drugs and establishing schemes.

Objective To clarify the role of protein kinase A (PKA),protein kinase C (PKC) and cyclin dependent kinase5 (CDK5) in the alterations of neurofialments (NFs) in 2,5-hexanedione (HD) induced toxic peripheral neuropathies. Methods HD was administrated to male Wistar rats by intraperitoneal injection at doses of 200 or 400 mg/kg,once a day,for 8 consecutive weeks. The relative contents of PKA,PKC,p35 precursor and CDK5 in spinal cord were determined by using SDS-PAGE and Western Blotting. Results In the cytosolic fraction of spinal cord, the levels of PKA and PKC in 400 mg/kg group significantly increased (P

Chinese Journal of Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases 1987;0(04):-
The results of detection of circulating antigen(CAg) in cerebrospinal fluids(CSF) of 231 cerebral cysticercosis patients with McAb(4F8)-based ELISA were reported and compared with the case histories , clinical manifestations and CT scans. No relationship was found between CAg detected in CSF of these cases and history of taeniasis. However, the positive rate of CAg in cerebral cysticercosis patients with subcutaneous nodules was found significantly higher than those in cases with simple cerebral cysticercosis and in cases with subcutaneous nodules disappeared after anti-Cysticercus therapy before CSF collection. The results of CAg detection in CSF were related with the CT findings as well as the stage of the disease. It is thus indicated that MeAb(4F8)-based ELISA might be useful not only for diagnosis of neurocysticercosis, but also for the evaluation of efficacy of anti-Cysticercus therapy.

Objective To observe the change on living blood cells of peripheral bloodstream in patients with TIA.Methods To observe the behavior of living blood cells in the peripheral bloodstream of 18 patients with TIA using high magnification microscopy system, and compared with 20 healthy individuals. Results Erythrocyte aggregation rate, leukocyte activation rate, thrombocyte activation rate, and the extent of those changes were higher in the TIA group than in the control group. This difference was statistically significant ( P

Objective To explore the changes in Ca2+ concentration and mitochondrial membrane potential in cultured myocytes in rat subjected to hypovolemia shock. Methods 84 Wistar rats were randomized into two groups:hypertonic solution resuscitation(HES,n=42)and 0.9% sodium chloride resuscitation(NS,n=42).At different timepoint(pre-shock stage,shock,post-resuscitation 5min,15min,30min,60min and 90min),the cultured cardiac myocytes, some were stained with JC-1,used fluo-4/AM as calcium probe, the others were assayed for Ca2+ mitochondrial membrane potential by flow cytomety. Results Ca2+ concentration of group HES at shock,post-resuscitation 5min,15min and 30min was higher than that of pre-shock stage, but mitochondrial membrane potential at post-resuscitation 60min and 90min was lower(P0.05).Ca2+ concentration and mitochondrial membrane potential of group HES at post-resuscitation 60min and 90min were more significantly different than that of group NS(P

Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2011;10(2):210-212
Objective To explore the effects of using standardized patients(SP)to clinical practicing teaching in traumato-osteology. Methods The records of theory exam, case aggregate analysis ability and clinical technical skills of the SP teaching group (SP group) and traditional teaching group(T group) were compared. Results The records of theory exam of the two groups had no significant difference (86.5 ±9.5 VS 82.3 ± 11.7,P>0.05). However, the case aggregate analysis ability of SP group (78.3 ±9.7) was obviously higher than that in control group (65.3 ±7.7), and the records of clinical technical skills of SP group were not significantly higher than control group (85.6 ±9.4 VS72.4 ± 11.6,P>0.05) . More of the students were generally satisfied with SP teaching model. Conclusion The using of SP acted by teachers is helpful to enhancing the clinical skills and thinking and maybe a considerable assisting teaching method in traumato-osteology.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of the operation in the treatment of postoperative re-hemorrhage after splenec-tomy with periesophagogastric devascularization for advanced schistosomiasis. Methods Forty-three re-hemorrhage patients, who received varicose ligation combined with pericardial devascularization through left thoracic cavity with esophageal incision from Oc-tober 2002 to October 2011,after splenectomy with periesophagogastric devascularization due to portal vein hypertension, were in-vestigated retrospectively and followed up for 1 to 9 years. Results Forty-three re-hemorrhage patients operated included 27 cas-es of selective operation and 16 cases of emergency operation. The mean follow-up time was 6.8 years. The hemostasis rate was 100%. 0ne died after the operation because of engaging in heavy labor, two had melena and were completely relived with the con-servative treatment, and all the rest had a good recovery. Conclusion The operation of varicose ligation combined with pericardi-al devascularization through left thoracic cavity with esophageal incision in the treatment of postoperative re-hemorrhage after sple-nectomy with periesophagogastric devascularization for advanced schistosomiasis has a satisfied efficacy.

Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy and side effects of icotinib combined with a subarachnoid space implantable pump for the treatment of leptomeningeal metastases (LM) from lung adenocarcinoma. Methods:Seven cases of LM from lung adeno-carcinoma with epidermal growth factor receptor mutation were included in the study from March 2011 to September 2015. With the aid of anesthetists, all patients were implanted with subarachnoid space implantable pumps to drain the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and then treated with icotinib (125 mg, three times a day) until disease progression or unacceptable toxicities. After 4 weeks, the efficacy and tolerability of icotinib were evaluated on the basis of symptoms, tumor markers from CSF, and brain gadolinium-enhanced magnet-ic resonance imaging scans. Results:Among the seven patients evaluated, no patient had complete response, two patients had partial response, four had stable disease, and one had progression. The patient who was progressive died at a month after therapy. The sur-vival time of all the other patients was more than 4 months. The common adverse effects of icotinib were skin rash and diarrhea, main-ly in grades 1 and 2. No infection of the local subarachnoid drainage tube was found in the abdominal wall. Conclusion:Icotinib com-bined with a subarachnoid space implantable pump for the treatment of LM from lung adenocarcinoma may be effective, and the tox-icities are tolerable. This method could also obviously alleviate the clinical symptoms and improve the quality of life of the patients, worthy of further study.
