ABSTRACT:Objective To compare the prognostic value of cystatin-C (Cys-C)and creatinine (Cr)in chronic heart failure (CHF)in old people. Methods We recruited 183 old patients (>75 years)diagnosed with CHF hospitalized at the Department of Cardiology and the Department of Geriatrics of our hospital from 2010 to 2012. Venous blood was withdrawn to detect the expressions of Cys-C and Cr.After three-year follow-up,the patients’ three-year survival was recorded.Logistic regression model was used to examine the relationship of Cys-C,Cr and other risk factors with the CHF patients’mortality.ROC curve was used to compare the prognostic value of Cys-C and Cr in CHF in old people and statistical method was adopted to analyze the combined use of Cys-C and Cr for determining their value in evaluating CHF prognosis. Results At the end of the follow-up,74 (40.44%)patients died.Serum cys-C and Cr levels of the patients in death group increased compared with those in survival group (P<0.05).Multivariate logistic regression showed that age (OR=1.11,95% CI=1.04-1.19),SBP (OR=1.06,95%CI=1.01-1.10),LVEF (OR=0.89,95% CI=0.82-0.95),BNP (OR=4.74,95% CI=1.77-12.69), creatinine (OR=2.04,95% CI=1.03-4.08),and Cys-C (OR=2.97,95% CI=1.44-6.12)were the independent risk factors for the prognosis of CHF.ROC analysis showed that Cys-C was superior to creatinine in AUC value (0.71 vs.0.65;95% CI,0.64-0.78;95% CI,0.58-0.72)(P<0.001).The AUC value of Cys-C and Cr in combination was 0.73 (95% CI,0.66-0.79).Conclusion Cys-C is a stronger predictor of the prognosis of CHF patients than creatinine and the combination of the two can increase the sensitivity and specificity in evaluating the prognosis of patients with CHF.

Objective: to measure anxiety status and explore integrated factors about anxiety of countrywomen in Shaanxi, then put forward to suggestions for improving women's mental health under the bio - psycho - social medical model. Methods: A cross - sectional survey was adopted. 592 married countrywomen volunteers were selected by cluster random sampling from Chang'an district of Xi'an in Shaanxi province. Self - rating anxiety scale, Self - rating depression scale and Life events scale were used for assessment of mental health of the subjects. Additional, gynecologic examinations were done to measure personal reproductive health status. Results: The facts of mental status of Shaanxi rural women brook no optimism. Among the 592 samples that were investigated in current study, 25. 3% have anxiety symptoms. For the study population, the average total index score of SAS was 34. 34. Further analysis revealed that dysmenorrhea, menarche age and depression are main risk factors influencing women's anxiety status. In addition, married countrywomen's anxiety is related to sexual intercourse satisfaction, uterus motion and per capita health care spending, etc.

OBJECTIVE: To establish GC-MS fingerprint of volatile oil from Citrus aurantium. METHODS: GC-MS method was adopted. The determination was performed on RTX-5MS capillary column with injector temperature of 250 ℃, high pure helium as carrier gas(≥99. 999%), flow rate of 1. 0 mL/min, split ratio of 10:1,and sample size of 1 μL (temperature programming). Mass spectrum condition included electron bombardment ion source, ion source temperature of 230 ℃, detector temperature of 250 ℃, 3 min solvent delay, scanning range of m/z 35-550. GC-MS chromatograms of 21 batches of volatile oil samples were determined using Laurene as reference. The similarity of them was evaluated by using TCM Chromatographic Fingerprint Similarity Evaluation System (2004 A edition), and common peak was determined. The components of common peak were determined by LC Solution 2 mass database (NIST05. LIB and NIST05s. LIB). Relative content of common peak was determined with area normalization. RESULTS; There were 20 common peaks in GC-MS chromatograms of 21 batches of volatile oil samples, and the similarity was higher than 0. 90. After validation, GC-MS chromatograms of 21 batches of volatile oil samples were in good agreement with control fingerprint. The main constituents of the volatile oil of C. aurantium were Limonene, Terpinene, Laurene and D-Cadinene. CONCLUSIONS: Established fingerprint can provide reference for identification and quality evaluation of volatile oil of C. aurantium.

BACKGROUND:
Artificial intelligence (AI) technology represented by deep learning has made remarkable achievements in digital pathology, enhancing the accuracy and reliability of diagnosis and prognosis evaluation. The spatial distribution of CD3 + and CD8 + T cells within the tumor microenvironment has been demonstrated to have a significant impact on the prognosis of colorectal cancer (CRC). This study aimed to investigate CD3 CT (CD3 + T cells density in the core of the tumor [CT]) prognostic ability in patients with CRC by using AI technology.
METHODS:
The study involved the enrollment of 492 patients from two distinct medical centers, with 358 patients assigned to the training cohort and an additional 134 patients allocated to the validation cohort. To facilitate tissue segmentation and T-cells quantification in whole-slide images (WSIs), a fully automated workflow based on deep learning was devised. Upon the completion of tissue segmentation and subsequent cell segmentation, a comprehensive analysis was conducted.
RESULTS:
The evaluation of various positive T cell densities revealed comparable discriminatory ability between CD3 CT and CD3-CD8 (the combination of CD3 + and CD8 + T cells density within the CT and invasive margin) in predicting mortality (C-index in training cohort: 0.65 vs. 0.64; validation cohort: 0.69 vs. 0.69). The CD3 CT was confirmed as an independent prognostic factor, with high CD3 CT density associated with increased overall survival (OS) in the training cohort (hazard ratio [HR] = 0.22, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.12-0.38, P <0.001) and validation cohort (HR = 0.21, 95% CI: 0.05-0.92, P = 0.037).
CONCLUSIONS
We quantify the spatial distribution of CD3 + and CD8 + T cells within tissue regions in WSIs using AI technology. The CD3 CT confirmed as a stage-independent predictor for OS in CRC patients. Moreover, CD3 CT shows promise in simplifying the CD3-CD8 system and facilitating its practical application in clinical settings.
