Objective To investigate the levels of trace element in calcium, magnesium, zinc, iron and copper in maternal blood of pregnant women of different pregnancy and ages of pregnant women , and its relation to the pregnancy the age of pregnant women. Methods Calcium, magnesium, zinc, iron and copper in serum in 10 131 cases of pregnant women (3 565 cases in the first pregnancy, 6 566 cases in second pregnancy) were measured. All cases (both first pregnancy and second pregnancy) were analysed according to three age periods (less than or equal to 25, 25 to 35 years old, more than or equal to 35). Results (1)Comparing to the cases in second pregnancy, Copper in serum of the cases in first pregnancy was lower, while zinc, magnesium and iron were higher (P < 0.05). But the level of calcium had no difference (P > 0.05). (2) For the cases in the first pregnancy in different age periods, all 5 kinds of trace elements were compared. Only the zinc level in serum in the groups of 25 ~ 35 years old and more than or equal to 35 years old was higher than that in the group of less than or equal to 25 years old (P < 0.05). No difference was found in the rest of trace elements in different age groups (P > 0.05). (3) For the cases in the first pregnancy in different age stages , all 5 kinds of trace elements were compared basis on the age periods. the zinc and iron levels in serum in the groups of 25 to 35 years and more than or equal to 35 years old were higher than those in less than or equal to 25 years old (P < 0.05). No difference (P > 0.05) was found in the other three kinds of trace elements in different age periods. Conclusions (1)There are differences in trace elements, magnesium, zinc, iron and copper, and no difference in calcium in the first and second pregnancy. (2)Trace elements in serum of pregnant women in different age periods are different. (3)According to the characteristics of various trace elements in serum of pregnant women of different pregnancy and age periods, trace elements shall be supplemented to meet the needs of the pregnant women and fetus.

Objective:To investigate the effect of ossotide combined with antibiotics on efficacy and serum levels of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) and interleukin-1beta (IL-1β) in patients with brucellosis osteoarthritis. Methods:Using a prospective study, 66 patients with brucellosis osteoarthritis admitted to Jiangshan Beilin Hospital from May 2016 to May 2019 were selected as the study subjects, aged from 28 to 70 years old. The patients were randomly divided into the control group ( n = 33) and the observation group ( n = 33). The control group was treated with antibiotics alone, and the observation group was treated with ossotide injection on the basis of the treatment. Both groups were treated for 2 months. The clinical efficacy was compared between the two groups, the pain visual analogue scale (VAS) scores, the Barthel index of activities of daily living, and the Fugl-Meyer assessment (FMA) scores were compared between the two groups before treatment and 2 months after treatment. The higher the VAS score was, the more severe the pain was. The higher the Barthel index was, the stronger the activity of daily living was. The higher the FMA score was, the better the motor function was. At the same time, the serum levels of TNF-α, IFN-γ and IL-1β were compared between the two groups before treatment and 2 months after treatment. Results:The total effective rate of the observation group (96.97%, 32/33) was significantly higher than that of the control group (78.79%, 26/33), and the difference was statistically significant (χ 2 = 5.12, P < 0.05). After 2 months of treatment, the VAS score [(3.12 ± 0.85) points] of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group [(4.08 ± 0.97) points, P < 0.05], Barthel index [(64.72 ± 6.98) points] and FMA score [(58.70 ± 5.58) points] were significantly higher than those of the control group [(56.65 ± 6.72), (51.43 ± 5.33) points, P < 0.05]. After 2 months of treatment, serum levels of TNF-α [(12.30 ± 2.35) ng/L], IFN-γ [(10.87 ± 2.26) ng/L] and IL-1β [(324.28 ± 127.60) ng/L] of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group [(14.35 ± 3.13), (15.76 ± 3.21), (390.29 ± 131.37) ng/L, P < 0.05]. Conclusion:Ossotide combined with antibiotics can improve the therapeutic effect of brucellosis osteoarthritis and reduce the serum levels of TNF-α, IFN-γ, and IL-1β.
5.Comments on Nigel Wiseman's "A Practical Sictionary of Chinese Medicine"--on Wiseman' s literal translation.

Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine 2005;25(10):937-940
Comments were made on the word-for-word literal translation method used by Mr. Nigel Wiseman in A Practical Dictionary of Chinese Medicine. He believes that only literal translation can reflect Chinese medical concepts accurately. The so-called "word-for-word" translation is actually "English-word-for-Chinese-character" translation. First, he made a list of Single Characters with English Equivalents, and then he replaced each character of Chinese medical terms with the assigned English equivalent. Many English terms thus produced are confusing. The defect of the word-for-word literal translation stems from the erroneous idea that the single character constitutes the basic element of meaning corresponding to the notion of "word" in English, and the meaning of a disyllabic or polysyllabic Chinese word is simply the addition of the meanings of the two or more characters. Another big mistake is the negligence of the polysemy of Chinese characters. One or two English equivalents can by no means cover all the various meanings of a polysemous character as a monosyllabic word. Various examples were cited from this dictionary to illustrate the mistakes.

Nursing skill competitions are the wind vane for clinical nursing development, and the teaching concepts, proposition forms, and evaluation systems demonstrated by competitions have a strong reference value for nursing teaching. This article introduces the knowledge selection and integration from nursing-related courses according to the problems and objectives to be solved by drawing on the STEM education concept in comprehensive nursing practical training in the context of integration of competition and education. Realistic problem scenarios can be created with clinical cases as the carrier or main line, and then the Tanner clinical judgment model is used to guide students to conduct a comprehensive analysis of cases, thereby helping students to develop clinical thinking ability and comprehensive practical skills, so as to bridge the gap between the contents learned at school and nursing work in clinical practice and help nursing students adapt to clinical practice as soon as possible.
