AIM: To test the effect of ERK1/2 on ischemic preconditioning (IPC) in diabetic rat hearts. METHODS: The diabetic rat model was made with alloxan. After eight weeks, 24 rats were divided into 4 groups: non-diabetic IPC rats (group A); non-diabetic non-IPC rats (group B); diabetic IPC rats (group C); diabetic non-IPC rats (group D). OBJECTIVE: To investigate the influence of obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) on children's growth. METHOD: Fifty-three children diagnosed as OSAHS were included in the treatment group and underwent tonsillectomy or adenoidectomy, and 51 normal children were employed as the control group. Main data monitored by PSG and growth hormone (GH) in children of the treatment group were recorded before and after surgery, in addition, growth hormone, height and weight of children in the treatment group and control group were respectively recorded and compared. RESULT: Height and weight of children with OSAHS before treatment were lower than that of the normal children and the difference was significant (P<0.05). Compared with the data before surgery, oxygen saturation of blood in children of treatment group recorded by PSG increased (P<0.05), while value of other data decreased (P<0.05). Growth hormone in children of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group and the difference between two group was significant (P<0.05), while the content of growth hormone in children of the treatment group elevated after 3 months postoperatively and at this time no difference was found between the two groups. CONCLUSION Children with OSAHS present the symptom of upper airway obstruction, which badly affects sleep quality and results in decreased secretion of growth hormone and finally the height and weight of children is got involved. Timely surgery is necessary to alleviate the symptom.

Objective:To investigate the current situation of kinesiophobia in patients after heart valve replacement surgery and to analyze its influencing factors, and to provide reference for the intervention research of patients with cardiophobia after cardiac valve replacement.Methods:Using cross-sectional survey method and convenient sampling method, 109 patients who underwent cardiac valve replacement surgery in department of cardiothoracic and vascular surgery of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region People′s Hospital from March 2021 to January 2022 were selected as the study subjects. The patients were surveyed with the general questionnaire, Tampa Scale of Kinesiophobia and Visual Analogue Scale.Results:After heart valve replacement, the score of Tampa Scale of Kinesiophobia was (46.90 ± 9.30) points. The score of Visual Analogue Scale was (5.83 ± 1.01) points. The score of Tampa Scale of Kinesiophobia was positively correlated with the score of Visual Analogue Scale ( r=0.46, P<0.01). Multiple linear regression analysis showed that patient′s age, cardiac function level, left ventricular ejection fraction, pain were the main influencing factors of Kinesiophobia ( t values were -2.37-4.34, all P<0.05). Conclusions:Medical staff should understand and accurately assess the status of patient′s kinesiophobia after heart valve replacement surgery, identify high-risk groups of kinesiophobia, and take targeted nursing measures to effectively alleviate postoperative pain, thereby reducing the incidence of kinesiophobia in patients, helping patients to carry out early functional exercise, and prorroting physical recovery.

Objective To understand the research status,hotspots and trends of Wuzhuyu Decoction;To provide reference for relevant research.Methods The literature related to Wuzhuyu Decoction was retrieved from CNKI,VIP,Wanfang Data and CBM databases from the establishment to February 28,2023.NoteExpress 3.6 was used to merge and deduplicate,and the author,organization and keywords were mapped and interpreted by CiteSpace 6.1.R6 software.Results A total of 822 articles were included,and the number of publications showed a wave upward trend;the top journals were New Chinese Medicine,Henan Traditional Chinese Medicine and Sichuan Traditional Chinese Medicine;the main research institutions were Beijing University of Chinese Medicine,China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences and Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine;a total of 566 authors were involved,and the authors with more publications included Wang Zhimin(12),Gong Muxin(9)and Bi Kaishun(5);high-frequency keywords included"headache","Shang Han Lun","TCM therapy"and so on.Conclusion Wuzhuyu Decoction is effective in treating chronic gastritis,hypertension and other primary diseases,which is a research hotspot in this field.It is a research trend in this field to explore its active components by high performance liquid chromatography and explain its action mechanism and target at the molecular level.

Objective To understand the research status,hotspots and trends of animal medicinal materials;To provide reference for future research.Methods The literature related to animal medicinal materials was retrieved from CNKI,VIP,Wanfang Data and CBM from January 1,2000 to April 30,2023.NoteExpress 3.6 was used to merge and deduplicate,and the author,institution and keywords were mapped and interpreted by CiteSpace 6.1.R6 software.Results A total of 1 169 articles were included,and the overall publication quantity in this field showed a stable fluctuation trend;the top journals were Lishizhen Medicine and Materia Medica Research,China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica and Modern Chinese Medicine;the main research institutions were China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences,Changchun University of Chinese Medicine and Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences;a total of 676 authors were involved,and the authors with more publications included Zhang Hui(22),Liu Rui(15),Lin Zhe and Ma Shuangcheng(14);high-frequency keywords included"identification","TCM resources","clinical application"and so on.Conclusion Resource survey of animal medicinal materials,standardized breeding of medicinal animals,development of alternatives to rare medicinal animal resources,and construction of quality standard system for animal medicinal materials are the research hotspots in this field.The basic research of pharmacodynamic substances of animal medicinal materials based on the integrated analysis strategies of proteomics,peptideomics and transcriptomics,and the revelation of the signaling pathways and targets of animal medicinal materials from the molecular biology level are the research trends in this field.

Objective:To systematically evaluate the efficacy of phacoemulsification and intraocular lens (IOL) with and without capsular tension ring (CTR) in patients with high myopia and cataract.Methods:MEDLINE, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, and Chinese databases including CNKI, Wanfang Data, and VIP databases were searched from their establishment to October 2020 to obtain peer-reviewed clinical studies comparing the efficacy of cataract phacoemulsification and IOL implantation combined with CTR implantation (experimental group) and cataract phacoemulsification and IOL implantation (control group) in patients with high myopia and cataract.Literature screening, data extraction and methodological quality assessment were implemented based on inclusion and exclusion criteria.A meta-analysis of postoperative best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) in logarithm of the minimum angle of resolution unit, posterior capsular opacification (PCO), capsular contraction syndrome (CCS), retinal detachment (RD) was performed using Revman 5.3 software with mean difference ( MD) and odds ratio ( OR) describing the effect sizes of measurement data and count data, respectively. Results:Eight studies with 2 085 eyes were included in this study, including 1 054 eyes in the experimental group and 1 031 eyes in the control group.Meta-analysis showed that there was no significant difference in BCVA between the two groups at 1 week, 1 month, and 3 months after surgery, but the improvement in BCVA at 6 months after surgery was significantly better in the experimental group than in the control group ( MD: -0.11; 95% CI: -0.15--0.07; P<0.01). The incidence rates of postoperative PCO ( OR: 0.24; 95% CI: 0.15-0.36; P<0.01) and CCS ( OR: 0.08; 95 % CI: 0.01-0.65; P=0.02) and RD ( OR: 0.21; 95% CI: 0.05-0.82; P=0.02) were lower in the experimental group than in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant. Conclusions:The combination of CTR in the treatment of patients with high myopia and cataract can improve the postoperative visual quality and reduce the incidence of postoperative PCO, CCS and RD.

However, the development of this technology has caused many social and ethical controversies. From the perspective of ethics, this paper discussed the ethical issues faced by young female patients in the implementation of fertility preservation, including whether it is necessary to preserve fertility, the ownership of the preserved fertility resources and the fair and equitable distribution of health resources involved in its implementation process, and identifies these issues and controversies from ethical view. In order to eliminate public doubts and misunderstandings about the technology of fertility preservation, ethical principles of benefit and non-harm, informed consent, prudent application, and ethical supervision have to be followed in the process of providing fertility preservation services, so as to promote the further development and application of fertility preservation technology.

Drug-induced liver injury is caused by the drug itself and/or its metabolites during drug use or occurs due to hypersensitivity or reduced tolerance to the drug in a particular body type. In the last three years of the diagnosis and treatment of coronavirus disease 2019 （COVID-19）， antiviral drugs have played a very important role， but there are many reports on liver injury caused by anti-COVID-19 drugs in China and globally， with unknown pathogenesis of liver injury caused by such drugs. This article reviews the research advances in the types of antiviral drugs for COVID-19 and their mechanism in inducing liver injury， in order to promote the rational use of antiviral drugs.

Objective: To assess clinical effect and safety of botulinum toxin A injection in external urethral sphincter for male patient with neurogenic detrusor underactivity(DU). Methods: A prospective and self-controlled trail was conducted from August 2012 to October 2017. Male patients with nerve injury, dysuria more than 6 months, DU(bladder contractility index less than 100) were enrolled in this study. Exclusion criteria included patients with acute urinary tract infection, bladder stone, benign prostate hyperplasia, urethral stricture and urethral diverticulum.100 IU BTX-A was dissolved in 4ml normal saline, and the solution of BTX- A was injected into 4 different points(3-o’clock, 6-o’clock, 9-o’clock, and 12-o’clock) in external urinary sphincter with each point of 1ml solution. Patients were evaluated at baseline and 12 weeks after injection. The outcomes included post void residual (PVR), maximum flow rate (Q_max), maximum detrusor pressure during voiding phases (P_det.max), maximum urethral closure pressure (MUCP), the case number of intermittent catheterization (IC)and the score of quality of life (QOL score). Adverse events were also recorded. Results: A total of 58 male patients (all from Guangdong provincial work injury rehabilitation hospital)with mean age 28.6 years suffered from cerebral palsy (n=2), cerebrovascular accident(n=19)and spinal cord injury(n=37) were included into the study. Compared to baseline data, significant difference were observed at week 12 in PVR (56.68 ml vs. 280.11 ml, P<0.001), P_det.max(23.95 cmH₂O vs. 30.01 cmH₂O, P=0.019), Q_max(6.74 ml/s vs. 3.28 ml/s, P=0.042), MUCP(48.25 cmH₂O vs. 79.34 cmH₂O, P<0.001), the case number of IC(40 vs. 58, P<0.001) and QOL score(3.63 vs.5.22, P<0.001) respectively. 5 cases developed perineal pain and 16 cases developed mild transient haematuria. These adverse events were disappeared by medical symptomatic treatment during 3-5 days. Conclusions BTX-A externalurethral sphincter injections help reduce urethra resistance and also improve the quality of life for patients with neurogenic detrusor underactivity.
