A novel rapid method for detection of the illicit beta2-agonist additives in health foods and traditional Chinese patent medicines was developed with the desorption corona beam ionization mass spectrometry (DCBI-MS) technique. The DCBI conditions including temperature and sample volume were optimized according to the resulting mass spectra intensity. Matrix effect on 9 beta2-agonists additives was not significant in the proposed rapid determination procedure. All of the 9 target molecules were detected within 1 min. Quantification was achieved based on the typical fragment ion in MS2 spectra of each analyte. The method showed good linear coefficients in the range of 1-100 mg x L(-1) for all analytes. The relative deviation values were between 14.29% and 25.13%. Ten claimed antitussive and antiasthmatic health foods and traditional Chinese patent medicines from local pharmacies were analyzed. All of them were negative with the proposed DCBI-MS method. Without tedious sample pretreatments, the developed DCBI-MS is simple, rapid and sensitive for rapid qualification and semi-quantification of the illicit beta2-agonist additives in health foods and traditional Chinese patent medicines.

This study was aimed to explore the influence of breast cancer associated fibroblasts (CAFs) in migration and invasion of breast cancer cell line MCF-7, and investigate whether hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) is involved in this process. Primary breast CAFs and their corresponding normal breast fibroblasts (NFs) were obtained by collagenase digestion. On the basis of the co-culture, the migration and invasion capacity of MCF-7 cells was compared between CAFs and NFs by Transwell. The difference in the HGF expression between them was detected by ELISA. The secretion of HGF was knocked down by using RNA interference technology in CAFs. Then the changes of migration and invasion capacity of MCF-7 cells were investigated by Transwell. Eventually, we isolated high-purity CAFs and NFs, and the CAFs had a stronger ability in promoting MCF-7 migration and invasion than the NFs. ELISA results demonstrated that CAFs secreted higher HGF, and the capacity of MCF-7 migration and invasion was declined after knocking down the secretion of HGF in CAFs by RNA interference. It is suggested that CAFs can promote MCF-7 migration and invasion through HGF in vitro.

Objective:To explore whether the inequality of economic development in different provinces in China leads to differences in pediatric nurses ′ health education literacy and to analyze related factors affecting pediatric nurses ′ health education literacy. Methods:Self-designed and tested online questionnaire of competencies in health education (scoring scale 10-50) were distributed to pediatric nurses in China in October 2018. We examined the influencing factors of competencies in health education and its relationship with the province-level data on gross domestic product (GDP) per capita. Results:A total of 15 443 pediatric nurses from 31 provinces were eligible for the analysis. At the regional of GDP per capital over than 20 000 US dollars, 15 000 to 20 000 US dollars, 10 000 to 14 900 US dollars and less than 10 000 US dollars, the health education literacy scores were 40.76±4.52, 40.66±4.08, 40.50± 4.02 and 39.69±4.32 respectively. Significant difference was found between the competencies in health education of pediatric nurses and provinces with different GDP per capita ( F value was 9.21, P<0.001). Regression and hierarchical analysis models based on GDP per capita showed that: nurses with senior professional titles, bachelor degrees or above, aged over 40, and those working in emergency rooms have higher competencies in health education ( OR value was 0.296-4.766, P<0.05) . Lower competencies in health education were demonstrated on nurses who have been working less than 5 years ( OR value was 0.319, P<0.05). Conclusions:Economic development is one of the main factors that affect the competencies in health education of pediatric nurses in China. Pediatric nurses who were young, had limited working experience, with low office titles, with low education background, and who working at non-emergency rooms require more training.

Objective:To observe the application of near-infrared autofluorescence imaging (NIRAF) technology combined with carbon nanoparticle (CNP) negative imaging in identification of parathyroid gland (PG) during thyroid carcinoma surgery.Methods:80 patients with thyroid cancer who underwent total thyroidectomy + central lymph node dissection performed by the same experienced physician team at the 960th Hospital of the PLA from Jan. to Mar. 2022 were prospectively included. Before operation, they were divided into two groups using random number table method before surgery: control group (40 cases) using CNP negative imaging, and experimental group (40 cases) using CNP negative imaging combined with NIRAF technique for intraoperative identification of PG. The gold standard for the identification of parathyroid glands was to compare the amount of intraoperative discovery retention misresection and transplantation of PG and the number of postoperative parathyroid hormone (PTH) and the number of complications in the two groups by immune colloidal gold technique. SPSS 25.0 software was used for statistical analysis. Results:All patients in the two groups were successfully operated and followed up. 137 149 PG were found and confirmed in the control group and the observation group, 108 132 PG were retained in situ and 29 17 PG were transplanted, the differences were statistically significant (all P <0.05) ; The number of A1 PG was 103 and 109, respectively. Among them, 84 102 were retained in situ and 19 7 were transplanted, the difference was statistically significant ( P <0.05) . There was no significant difference in the amount of A2 type PG and B type PG between the two groups ( P >0.05) . No A3 type PG was found in the two groups, and a total of 3 A3 types of PG were confirmed in postoperative pathological reports. There were no significant differences in misresection in the control group and the observation group, 5 and 2 PG were mistakenly cut, respectively (all P >0.05) . The PTH 1 day after surgery was 17.7 (5.6,30.4) pg/mL in the control group and 21.7 (12.8,38.3) pg/mL in the observation group, the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05) . There were no significant differences in the levels of serum calcium and serum phosphorus 1 day after operation and PTH 1 month after surgery between the two groups (all P > 0.05) . Conclusion:Compared with CNP alone, combined with NIRAF technique can quickly and effectively identify PG, and PG can be better protected in situ and postoperative hypoparathyroidism can be reduced.
