1.Research on the common troubles and basic principle of TCL-II injection pump

To introduce the basic working principle of TCL - II medical injection pump, the detailed description of the power circuit and motor drive circuit. According to the basic principle of each function, it gave the corresponding circuit diagram for peer reference. Injection pump in the maintenance can use this typical working principle and the typical electronic circuit to realize the common troubleshooting quickly and accurately.
2.Effect of QianlieShutong capsule combined with tamsulosin on serum testosterone and estrogen in patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia and its efficacy

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of QianlieShutong capsule in combination with tamsulosin in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia ( BPH) and its effects on serum testosterone and estrogen.Methods 114 cases of BPH were randomly divided into control group (n=54) and observation group (n=60).The control group were treated with tamsulosin, while the observation group were treated with QianlieShutong capsule in combination with tamsulosin.Then, the curative efficacy, improvement of related indexes, level of serum testosterone, estrogen and adverse reactions were compared.Results The observation group had a total therapeutic efficacy ratio of 95.0%, which was statistically higher than that of 83.3% in control group (P<0.05).In comparison with control group after the treatment, international prostate symptom score (IPSS), residual urine (Ru), prostate volume (PV) in observation group statistically decreased, and maximum flow rate (Qmax), level of estrogen increased (all P<0.05), while level of testosterone in two groups was statistically same.During the treatment, there’ s no case of severe adverse reaction.And the incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 13.3%, which was statistically same with that of 11.1% in control group.Conclusion Combined treatment of QianlieShutong capsule and tamsulosin is effective for BPH, which can significantly increase curative efficacy, improve related indexes and regulate level of sexual hormone with minor adverse reactions.
3.Equipment department management information system based on B/S architecture:purchase process management

Objective To develop an equipment purchase process management module based on B/S architecture to standardize hospital equipment purchase process and promote hospital informatization. Methods Service-oriented architecture (SOA) was adopted as the main architecture, and internet information service (IIS) manager was used as the publishing tool.Results All the departments could visit the system through hospital intranet and perform on-line equipment purchase and inquiry for progress.Conclusion The system facilitates the inquiry of all departments for the progress of equipment purchase, and standardizes and optimizes the equipment purchase process.
4.Equipment department management information system based on B/S architecture:consumables supermarket management

To establish a consumables supermarket management system to realize the informatized management of the consumables supermarket. The system used SOA as the main architecture, and IIS manager as the pub-lishing tool. The system had the workload, materials and financial resources decreased while the efficiency in-creased, and made the supervisor master the sale information timely. Consumables supermarket informatized management may decrease the hospital's needs for current capital as well as the links, while increase the hospital effi-ciency greatly.
5.Development of Android Platform Based Portable Trace Heavy Metal Ions Detector

Based on the Android platform, a portable electrochemical analyzer was designed for the detection of heavy metal ions. Its output voltage range was ±3 V with accuracy of 0. 1% and resolution of <1 mV. The current acquisition range was±10 mA with accuracy of 0. 1% and the minimum resolution of 10 pA. With the human-computer interaction advantage of Android smart devices, professional and fast detection mode which could meet the needs of professional and ordinary users respectively were developed to simplify the complex process of electrochemical detection and analysis. Some common heavy metal ions including copper, cadmium, lead and mercury were detected with this detector. The results of linearity, repeatability and accuracy were satisfactory.
6.The Effect of Norcantharidin on Human Rectal Cancer Colo 320 Cells

Objective To investigate the effect of norcantharidin on growth inhibition and induction of apoptosis of human rectal cancer Colo 320 cells. Methods Norcantharidin (NCTD) in different concentrations were added to rectal cancer Colo 320 cells. Morphological characteristics of apoptosis were observed using the light microscope and transmission electron microscope. The expressions of Bag-1 and Bcl-2 proteins were tested by Western blotting. The growth inhibition of Colo 320 cells on the cell cycle was observed by flow cytometry. Results The apoptosis morphological changes of Colo 320 cells were observed by the light microscope and transmission electron microscopy. Flow cytometry analysis showed that the cell count of G2/M phase in experimental group was higher than that in control group ( <0.05) but the cell counts of G0/G1 and S phases have decreased in experimental group after treatment with NCTD at the concentrations of 5μg/mL, 10μg/mL and 20 μg/mL, and presented dosage dependence relations. The expressions of Bag-1 and Bcl-2 proteins have decreased. Conclusion Norcantharidin has inhibitory effect on rectal cancer Colo 320 cells, and the effect may be related to the cell cycle arrest and apoptosis.
7.Fabrication and application of a novel cell culture microchip.

In this article, a cell culture microchip was fabricated on the SU-8 mold based on polymer-MEMS process. In the microchip, the cell culture area was separated with microchannel by a microgap, which kept the cell culture area independent, but also regulated the micro-environment of extracellular matrix by the microfluidic flow. The cell culture microchip provided a new platform for cell research.

8.Early diagnosis and treatment of combined thoracoabdominal injury

Objective To summarize the experience in early diagnosis and emergency treatment for combined thoracoabdominal injury (CTI). Methods Clinical data of 58 cases of CTI admitted to our hospital from June 2001 to August 2009 were analyzed retrospectively.All the patients were treated by closed drainage of thoracic cavity,of which 12 cases were treated with thoracotomy,31 with laparotomy,seven with thoracic and abdominal incisions and three with combined thoracoabdominal incision.Internal fixation for long limb bones was performed in 27 cases,spinal laminectomy and pedicle screw fixation in five and amputation in one. Results After operation,six cases were found to have adult respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and 12 cases were complicated with multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS).Fifty-three cases were cured and five died. Conclusions CTI based multiple injuries are severe and complicated.CT scan in the early stage plays a significant role in the diagnosis of CTI and closed drainage of thoracic cavity is an important assurance of the security of abdominal operation.Early diagnosis,correct choice of operation procedures and reasonable handling order of injured organs can improve the successful rescue rate for multiple injury patients.
9.Patterning different cells based on microfluidics and self-assembled monolayers.

The ability to pattern multiple cells through precise surface engineering of cell culture substrates has promoted the development of cellular bioassays, such as differentiation, interaction and molecular signaling pathways. There are several well developed ways to pattern cells. This report describes a method for patterning multiple types of cells based on microfluidics and self-assembled monolayers. We developed two types of micro-dam structures by soft-lithography to locate cells precisely and modified the substrate by a kind of self-assembled monolayer with property of electrochemical desorption to confine cells in specific areas. Finally we could pattern an array of two different types of cells closely and precisely. Cells were confined in specific areas but still shared the same microenvironment, so they could interact through soluble molecules. The substrate was transparent and open, so we could easily apply several instruments for research. With these merits, this cell chip is appropriate for investigating the interaction between different types of cells.

10.Microfluidic cell culture array chip for drug screening assays.

We developed a novel microfluidic cell chip, which enabled drug delivery, fluid control and cell co-culture. The device consisted of an array of 6x6 cell culture chambers, a drug gradient generator and fluidic control valves. Micro-dam structures of the chambers were able to trap cells while loading and drug gradient network generated drug gradient of 6 different concentrations. Also we applied hydraulic valves to control the microfluid and simulate the microenvironment of cells. We had investigated the viability of co-culturing cells in the chip and the ability for drug screening. This microfluidic cell chip has the potential in cell-based research of high throughput drug screening.
