Objective To explore the mechanism of Tangshenkang in the prevention and treatment of diabetic nephropathy. Methods HK-2 cells were cultured in vitro and divided into control group, high glucose group (30 mmol/L D-glucose), control group (30 mmol/L D-glucose+10% animal serum), and Tangshenkang drug-containing serum therapy groups (30 mmol/L D-glucose+5%low concentration Tangshenkang, 30 mmol/L D-glucose+10%middle concentration Tangshenkang, 30 mmol/L D-glucose+20% high concentration Tangshenkang). After 24 h and 48 h treatment, MMP-9 and TIMP-1 in cell cultural supernatant were observed by ELISA. Results MMP-9 of HK-2 cultured with high glucose was much decreased and TIMP-1 increased significantly than the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). TIMP-1 significantly decreased and MMP-9 increased in HK-2 cultured with high glucose plus Tangshenkang compared with those only induced by high glucose, with statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusion Tangshenkang could regulate the secretion of fibrosis cell factor of HK-2 cell induced by high glucose, which may be one of the mechanisms in its treatment of diabetic nephropathy.

Objective To investigate the clinical value of arterial first approach in laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy (LPD) for periampullary tumor. Methods The data of 134 patients with periampullary tumor who had underwent LPD between February 2014 and August 2017 were collected. The patients were divided into 2 groups by random digital table method, with 67 cases in each group. The experimental group received arterial first approach LPD, and the control group received traditional approach LPD. The intraoperative, postoperative and survival situations were compared between 2 groups. Follow- up using outpatient examination and telephone interview was performed to detect the tumor- free survival up to February 2018. Results All the patients underwent successful LPD. The time of tumor resection with superior mesenteric venous invasion, volume of intraoperative blood loss and volume of blood transfusion in experimental group were significantly lower than those in control group: (215.6 ± 12.3) min vs. (263.4 ± 21.2) min, (98.9 ± 15.6) ml vs. (130.1 ± 26.7) ml and (1.4 ± 0.9) U vs. (2.9 ± 1.3) U, and there were statistical differences (P<0.05). The rate of R0 resection in experimental group was significantly higher than that in control group: 97.0% (65/67) vs. 88.1% (59/67), and there was statistical difference (P<0.05). There was no statistical difference in postoperative 6- month tumor- free survival rate between 2 groups (P>0.05). Conclusions Arterial first approach in LPD can significantly reduce the volumes of intraoperative blood loss and blood transfusion, shorten the time of tumor resection with superior mesenteric venous invasion, and increase the rate of R0 resection.

24 patients with chronic hepatitis B were treated with interleukin-2 activated human peripheral blood lymphocytes (IAPBL). 23 patients served as control. The results showed that HBeAg disappeared in 54.2% of IAPBL group, in comparison with 17.4% of the controls (P

OBJECTIVETo study the chemical constituents of the whole plant of Viola yedoensis.
METHODThe compounds were isolated by various chromatographic techniques and their structures were elucidated by their physicochemical properties and the analysis of their spectral data.
RESULTSeven compounds were isolated and identified as esculetin (1), isoscopoletin (2), 6-hydroxymethyl-3-pyridinol (3),5,5-bi (6,7-dihydroxycoumarin) (4), 6,6,7,7-tetrahydroxy-5,8-bicoumarin (5), loliolide (6), dehydrololiolide (7).
CONCLUSIONCompounds 2-7 were isolated from V. yedoensis for the first time.

Objective To detect the expression levels of peripheral blood CXCL10 and its receptor CXCR3 and T cell subsets in of the patients with advanced vitiligo and the influence of compound Chinese medicine on it.Methods Flow cytometry was used to detect the cellular proportions of peripheral blood T cell subsets,ELISA was employed to quantify serum CXCL10 and CXCR3 expression levels before and after treatment. Results After 1 month of taking Chinese medicine, the proportions of CD3+ CD4+ cells and CD3+ CD8+ cells were increased compared before treatment(P<0.05).The expression level of peripheral serum CXCL10 before treatment was significantly increased compare with the healthy control group(P<0.01),and the CXCL10 level after treatment was decreased significantly compared with that before treatment(P<0.05).The expression level of peripheral serum CXCR3 was significantly increased compared with the healthy control group(P<0.05),while which after treatment was still significantly higher than that in the healthy control group(P<0.05).Conclusion CXCL10,CXCR3 and T cell subsets proportion may be involved in the pathogenesis of vitiligo. The compound Chinese medicine used in this study plays the curative effect possibly by regulating T cell subsets and expression levels of CXCL10 and CXCR3.
