3.The relationship between sarcoplasmic reticulum Ca2+modulation proteins and postresuscitation myocardial dysfunction
Chinese Critical Care Medicine 2014;(10):697-700
Objective To investigate the relationship between sarcoplasmic reticulum Ca2+modulation proteins and postresuscitation myocardial dysfunction. Methods Thirty-eight SPF male Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were randomly divided into control group(n=12)and cardiac arrest(CA)group(n=26). CA was induced by intravenous bolus of potassium chloride(40μg/g),and cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR)was conducted 8 minutes later. No CA was induced in control group except catheter placement for monitoring cardiopulmonary parameters after anesthesia. Invasive hemodynamic parameters were monitored for 1 hour after CPR. Echocardiogram was performed to evaluate cardiac function. Myocardial samples were harvested 5 minutes and 1 hour after restoration of spontaneous circulation (ROSC),and sarcoplasmic reticulum Ca2+ ATPase (SERCA2a),phosphorylated phospholamban (p-PLB) and rynodine receptor(RyR)were determined by Western Blot. Results ROSC rate of CA group was 92.3%(24/26),and mean recovery time was (68 ±39)seconds. Cardiac function was significantly impaired in CA group at 1 hour after resuscitation, and ejection fraction, fraction shortening (FS), the maximal rate of left ventricular pressure increase/decline (±dp/dt max)were significantly decreased compared with those in control group 〔ejection fraction:0.548±0.060 vs. 0.809±0.043,F=71.692,P=0.000;FS:(34.4±4.4)%vs. (46.0±3.5)%,F=55.443,P=0.000;+dp/dt max(mmHg/s):4 718±743 vs. 7 098±394,P<0.01;-dp/dt max(mmHg/s):-3 824±612 vs.-6 187±473,P<0.01〕. Compared with control group, the expression levels of p-PLB (gray value)was significantly decreased at 5 minutes and 60 minutes(5 minutes:0.64±0.15 vs. 1.29±0.13,P<0.01;60 minutes:0.95±0.08 vs. 1.30±0.09,P<0.05)after resuscitation in CA group, while the level of sarcoplasmic SERCA2a(gray value)and RyR (gray value)showed no significant differences(SERCA2a 5 minutes:1.01±0.18 vs. 1.24±0.07,60 minutes:1.03± 0.14 vs. 1.25 ±0.06;RyR 5 minutes:0.96 ±0.13 vs. 0.97 ±0.13,60 minutes:0.88 ±0.14 vs. 0.99 ±0.11,all P>0.05). Conclusions The impairment of the p-PLB is closely related to postresuscitation myocardial dysfunction.
4.X-rays changes of forearm and shank of residents from areas with different fluoride contents in drinking water in Jilin province
Chinese Journal of Endemiology 2013;(2):208-212
Objective To understand common X-ray signs of bone and joint of forearm and shank,in order to provide a basis for diagnosis of skeletal fluorosis. Methods A total of 15 villages which were built for more than 50 years in Nongan and Qianan counties of Jilin province were selected and surveyed by quantitative epidemiological methods. These villages had no industrial and coal-burning-borne fluorine pollution; no other high fluoride sources; had not yet changed to low-fluoride drinking water, and had complete and stable historic data of fluoride content in drinking water.Drinking water fluoride content was determined.Inhabitants lived in the local for more than 10 years, between the age of 16-60 were chosen from the villages based on the 11 levels of fluoride content of drinking water from 0.5-7.0 mg/L and these people were divided into 5 age groups:16-,21-,31-,41-,51 to 60.In each age group,10-15 individuals were taken by stratified random sampling to do the forearm and shank joint X-ray examination.Drinking water fluoride content between 0.5-1.0 mg/L acted as the low fluoride group(control group),1.5-7.0 mg/L as the high fluoride group and various X-ray findings and the detection rate were observed. Results Three X-ray signs of skeletal fluorosis, joint degenerative change and osteoporosis were observed.Thereinto, joint degenerative change was the most common. In the high fluoride group(31.55%,153/485),the detection rate of joint degenerative change was higher than that of the low fluoride group (21.58%,41/190) and the difference was statistically significant (x2 =6.62,P < 0.05).Seventy two of 675 peoples used by X-ray were detected with skeletal fluorosis, which occurred mainly in the higher intake of high fluoride group (x2 =25.65,P < 0.01).When water fluoride was up to 6.0-7.0 mg/L,the detection rate of endemic skeletal fluorosis was increased to 44.92%(53/118).Regardless of higher or lower of water fluoride and mild or more serious of the state of fluorosis, changes of X-ray signs of bone surroundings happened first; on average with a detection rate of 95.83% (69/72),the joint change followed by 79.17% (57/72) and bone substance change the least at 56.94%(41/72),and the difference was statistically significant (x2=9.64,P < 0.01).Regardless of water fluoride high and low, joint of elbow knee and wrist underwent degenerative change.Degenerative change of elbow joint happened first with a detection rate of 17.78% (120/675),knee joint followed by 15.41% (104/675),and wrist joint was the least at 7.85% (53/675).The difference was statistically significant (x2 =30.74,P < 0.01).Elbow degeneration detection rate(21.03%,102/485) in high fluoride group was significantly higher than that of the low fluoride group(9.47%,18/190; x2=12.47,P < 0.01).X-ray examination showed 35 kinds of signs; most signs could be seen in the high fluoride and the low fluoride groups. But the changes of bone around were seen more often in higher fluoride content group than in lower fluoride content group. Conclusions X-ray signs of endemic skeletal fluorosis are complex and diverse.Only after comprehensive analysis, the diagnostic results are accurate and reliable.

6.Systemic necrotizing vasculitis presenting as gangrene combined with diabetes insipi-dus:a case report
Journal of Peking University(Health Sciences) 2015;47(6):1028-1030
SUMMARY The male patient reported here presented as gangrene and central diabetes insipidus ( CDI) , who had characteristics of vasculitis. The patient complained about polydipsia and polyuria half a year ago, and then developed tingling, pain and blackish discoloration of some fingers and toes 3 month ago. He also had Raynaud' s phenomenon. After admission, his laboratory examination showed the rise of erythrocyte sedimentation rate, C-reactive protein, immunoglobulin,β2-glycoproteinⅠand the activi-ty of rheumatoid factors, lupus anticoagulant test. his pituitary gland showed loss of posterior signal on magnetic resonance imaging. In addition, his vasopressin test was active. However, there was no suffi-cient evidence to diagnose any specific disease;as a consequence the patient was diagnosed as idiopathic systemic necrotizing vasculitis ( SNV) . For SNV, the patient was treated with glucocorticoid 40 mg/d and impact therapy of cyclophosphamide 0. 4 g every 2 weeks. He also received symptomatic treatment for gangrene and CDI. Cutaneous involvement leading to gangrene was widely reported in SNV, however pi-tuitary involvement in SNV leading to CDI was rare. The prognosis of this patient was poor.

9.Analyses of the Mycorrhizal Research State and Development in China Based on SCI Database
Microbiology 1992;0(03):-
Papers on mycorrhizas were searched from SCI (Science Citation Index) database. In order to understand the research progress of mycorrhizas in China, the paper on mycorrhizas from 1989 to 2007 was analyzed with method of bibliometrics. Mycorrhizal researches showed an increasing tendency during 1989 to 2007, while the increase was obviously accelerated after 2000. Only 5.22% of the articles were published in journals with impact factor above 5, indicates that the academic levels of researches need being enhanced. Currently the research on mycorrhizas was mainly focused on Arbuscular mycorrhiza (AM), especially on effects of mycorrhizal fungi on plant physiology, effects of mycorrhizal fungi on resistance of host plants, Mycorrhizal diversity community and ecological distribution, and phytoremediation with Mycorrhizal plants. The future research should emphasize in phytoremediation with Mycorrhizal plants and identification of fungal species with molecular biological technology.
