We surveyed the graduate students at Peking University Health Science Center for the difficulties during their study. The result showed that the major difficulties were job pressure, completing studies and economic burden. Some students were also bothered by love affairs, health conditions and interpersonal relationship. Suggestions were made for future work to help these students to cope with such difficulties to complete their study smoothly.

International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2015;(7):657-658
Resident standardization training system is established in the framework of modern western medicine. With less consideration to the specificity of TCM on the curriculum, teaching mode and other aspects, it is not suitable for the actual requirement of TCM hospital. TCM apprentice education has a long history, is an important form of the traditional education of Chinese medicine. Leading the TCM apprentice education mode into the standardized training of resident physicians, exploring the construction of the teaching model suited to help the masses of TCM college graduates training will play an increasingly important role in training work.

Objective To explore the relationship among the sense of coherence, empowerment and self-efficacy in peritoneal dialysis patients. Methods General information, the Sense of Coherence Scale, the Peritoneal Dialysis Empowerent Scale-Short Form and the Self-Efficacy for Managing Chronic Disease Scale were used to investigate a total of 160 peritoneal dialysis patients in a third-class hospital in Tianjin from March to June,2015.Results The mean score of the sense of coherence,empowerment,self-efficacy were (62.01±11.94) points,(4.09±0.68) points and (6.08±2.19) points. Both the sense of coherence and empowerment could positively influence the self-efficacy of peritoneal dialysis patients directly (r=0.429-0.571,P < 0.01),and the sense of coherence could also indirectly influence the self-efficacy through the mediation of empowerment (β decreased from 0.429 to 0.172,P < 0.01),the mediation effect accounted for 60.1% of the total effect. Conclusions Medical staff should take different actions to improve the sense of coherence and empowerment to improve the self-efficacy of peritoneal dialysis patients.

Objective: To study quantitative changes of cochlear hair cells and spiral ganglion cells after blast exposure in guinea pigs. Methods: The number of hair cells was calculated using the surface specimen technique and computer image analysis technique after blast exposure. The number of spiral ganglion cells was calculated using pathologic technique and computer image analysis technique after blast exposure. Results: Quantitative observation was carried out 21 days after blast exposure. The number of total hair cells in uncus, the first and second gyre in normal control group and in blast group was 3 599?159.6 and 6 022?98.4 respectively, and the number of spiral ganglion cells in the 2 low parts of cochlear in normal control group and in blast group was 51? 4.72 and 27? 6.94 respectively, the difference in mean value between the groups being significant. Conclusion: Not only the hair cells reduce, but also the spiral ganglion cells are severely damaged after blast exposure. [

This paper focuses on issues needed to be clear towards the product quality supervision of medical devices in use. The life circle of medical devices, the supervision regarding its boundary, target, emphasis, basis and standards have been analyzed in turn. A clear and creative idea is also provided for theoretical exploration of the supervision on medical devices in use.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2011;17(5):437-439
Objective To establish a model of deep venous thrombosis (DVT) in rabbits. Methods Animal models of venous thrombosis were made by blocking venous flow with a vascular clamp temporarily, injuring the vascular wall, and injecting thrombin in the distal vein in one side of rabbits. Then fixed the hip and knee joints of the operated sides in the flection position with plaster. 48 h later, the femoral veins on both sides were examined with the ultrasonography and pathology. Results All the rabbits survived after operation. The ultrasonography showed that the femoral veins on both sides were virtually anechoic. However, the veins on the operated sides couldn't be compressed and no flow was detected, the control sides were just the reverse. The veins on the operated side were filled with thrombus which had not adhered on the wall, but no thrombosis occurred in the control side. Conclusion A model of DVT was established in rabbits.

Objective To investigate the expression of anoctamin 1 in Chinese hamster ovary cells (CHO)and to analyze the functional properties of its ion channel, and to provide experimental basis for study on the physiological function of calcium-activated chloride channel. Methods The whole sequence of anoctamin 1 was obtained by PCR technique and was subcloned into pcDNA3.1 to construct the expression vector pcDNA3.1-anoctamin 1 was transfected into CHO by liposome-mediated transfection and the CHO stably expressing anoctamin 1 were aquired by selection with zeocin. The expression and distribution of anoctamin 1 in CHO were measured by RT-PCR technique and inverted fluorescence microscope. The functional properties of anoctamin 1 were measured with halide-sensitive fluorescence proteins YFP-H148Q/I152L.The PBS buffer solution with calcimycin and high concentration of iodine ion was used as experimental group, andthe PBS buffer solution without calcimycin and high concentration of iodine ion was used as control group. Results The results of digestion and sequencing confirmed that anoctamin 1 was cloned into pcDNA3.1 by electrophoresis and blast. The results of RT-PCR and inverted fluorescence microscope indicated that anoctamin 1 was expressed in CHO. The results of I- influx as measured by halide-sensitive fluorescence proteins YFP-H148Q/I152L showed that anoctamin 1 had the more functional properties of trans-epithelial transporting I-,and the transporting speed in experimental group was higher than that in control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Anoctamin 1 can be expressed highly in the CHO;Anoctamin 1 expressed in CHO has the characteristics of calcium-activated chloride channel.

OBJECTIVETo discuss the results and significance of the detection of the CFTR gene mutation in azoospermia patients with congenital unilateral absence of the vas deferens (CUAVD).
METHODSWe collected peripheral blood samples from 6 azoospermia patients with CUAVD for detection of the CFTR gene mutations and single nucleotide polymorphisms. We analyzed the genome sequences of the CFTR gene in comparison with the website of the UCSC Genome Browser on Human Dec. 2013 Assembly.
RESULTSMissense mutation of c. 592G > C in exon 6 was found in 1 of the 6 azoospermia patients with CUAVD and splicing mutation of c. 1210-12T[5] was observed in the noncoding region before exon 10 in 2 of the patients, both with the V470 haplotype in exon 11.
CONCLUSIONMutations of the CFTR gene can be detected in azoospermia patients with CUAVD and the detection of the CFTR gene mutation is necessary for these patients.
