AIM To explore the effects of trip-tolide on endothelin-1 and its gene expression in lung of asthmatic guinea-pigs. OBJECTIVETo observe the clinical effectiveness of Qilin Pills combined with sertraline in the treatment of secondary non-consolidated kidney qi premature ejaculation (PE).

METHODSA total of 120 patients with secondary non-consolidated kidney qi PE were randomly assigned to groups A (aged [35.5 ± 5.4] yr), B (aged [36.2 ± 5.7] yr), and C (aged [35.2 ± 5.3] yr) in the ratio of 1:1:1 to receive Qilin Pills (once 6 g, bid), sertraline (once 50 mg, qd), and Qilin Pills plus sertraline, respectively, all for 4 weeks. The intravaginal ejaculatory latency time (IELT) and PE diagnostic tool (PEDT) scores were obtained before and after medication and at 1 month after drug withdrawal, and comparative analyses were made among the three groups of patients.

RESULTSThe IELT was dramatically prolonged in groups A, B, and C after treatment ([3.23 ± 1.84], [3.87 ± 2.43], and [5.92 ± 3.11] min) and at 1 month after drug withdrawal ([1.85 ± 1.27], [1.52 ± 1.06], and [ 4.26 ± 1.88 ] min) as compared with the baseline ([0.88 ± 0.45], [0.84 ± 0.47], and [0.85 ± 0.50] min) (P < 0.01), even longer in group C than in A and B (P < 0.01). The PEDT scores of the three groups were 5.1 ± 1.8, 4.9 ± 1.7, and 3.8 ± 1.2 after treatment and 8.2 ± 2.4, 8.1 ± 2.4, and 6.5 ± 2.1 at 1 month after drug withdrawal, significantly improved in comparison with 13.2 ± 3.2, 12.8 ± 3.1, and 13.1 ± 3.4 before treatment (P < 0.01), even more significantly in group C than in A and B (P < 0.01).

CONCLUSIONQilin Pills combined with sertraline has a definite efficacy in the treatment of secondary non-consolidated kidney qi PE and therefore deserves wide clinical application.

Objective To explore the effects of high glucose on oxidative stress of human peritoneal mesothelial cells(HPMCs).Methods HPMCs were cultured in vitro and identified by immunohistochemistry, and cells of second generation were selected. AIM:To compare the curative effect of conjoint fascial sheath suspension and the simple frontalis muscle suspension for moderate or severe ptosis.METHODS:In March 2013 to March 2016 in our hospital, 46 patients with moderately severe ptosis(68 eyes) were taken as the research objects.According to random number table method, they were divided into study group and the control group, 23 cases in each group.Study group(34 eyes) received the joint fascial sheath suspension (CFS), the control group(34 eyes) received frontalis muscle suspension.The degree of ptosis correction, upper eyelid retracted, satisfaction and complications of two groups were compared.RESULTS:The corrected rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).After treatment, the upper eyelid retracted of the study group was significantly lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The satisfaction of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the study group was significantly less than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).CONCLUSION:Conjoint fascial sheath suspension is more effective on the treatment of severe ptosis than the simple frontalis muscle suspension, and has advantages such as less trauma, repeatable, and less complication.

Objective To discuss effects of anti-inflammatory mechanism of amygdalin on rats with type II collagen-induced arthritis (CIA). Methods Wistar rats were randomized into normal group, model group, amygdalin group, and tripterygium group. Type II CIA rat models were established. From the 15th day after the modeling establishment, each administration group was given corresponding dose of medicine for continuous 28 days. Levels of TNF-αand sICAM-1 were detected by ELISA in serum of rats, and expression of TNF-α was detected by immuno-histochemical method. Results TNF-α positive expression in amygdalin group and tripterygium group was similar and significantly reduced compared with model group. Levels TNF-α and sICAM-1 in amygdalin group and tripterygium group significantly decreased compared with those in model group (P<0.05), without significant difference compared with normal group (P>0.05). Conclusion Amygdalin can inhibit the expression of TNF-α and levels of TNF-α and sICAM-1, in order to treat rheumatoid arthritis.

Forty type 2 diabetic patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) were assigned to two groups and treated respectively with?-lipoic acid or mecobalamin for 2 weeks.The results suggested that?-lipoic acid could accelerate the nerve conduction velocity and decrease the plasma level of endothelin and C reactive protein as well as microalbuminceria with a effect similar to mecobalamin therapy on DPN.

Objective: To monitor the content of bisphenol S ( BPS ) in vegetables and fruits in Henan Province and evaluate the dietary exposure risk of the population, so as to provide the basis for formulating relevant food safety standards. Methods: From 2018 to 2019, 276 samples of vegetables and fruits produced and sold in Henan Province were collected. BPS was determined by isotope dilution ultra performance liquid chromatography triple quadrupole tandem mass spectrometry ( UPLC-MS/MS ) , and the dietary exposure was calculated according to the dietary structure and average body weight of local residents. The risk index of BPS was calculated according to the daily tolerable intake ( TDI ) of bisphenol A ( BPA ). Results: The BPS contents in vegetables and fruits were 0.006-12.600 µg/kg and 0.006-9.380 µg/kg, the medians were 0.053 µg/kg and 0.023 µg/kg, the detection rates were 78.43% and 62.60%, respectively.The detection rate and content of BPS in vegetables were higher than those in fruits ( P<0.05 ). The maximum exposure of BPS from vegetables and fruits was 5.37×10-2 µg/ ( kgbw·d ), and the exposure risk index was 1.07 × 10-3, which was acceptable. Conclusions BPS was detected from vegetables and fruits in Henan Province. The detection rate and content of BPS in vegetables were higher than those in fruits. The health risk of BPS exposed by vegetables and fruits is small.

Objective To evaluate maximum intensity projection(MIP) images and apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC) values of MR diffusion weighted imaging with background body signal suppression (DWIBS) on pulmonary diseases.Methods Sixty-one patients with pulmonary diseases underwent DWIBS.The findings in three dimensional(3D) MIP image were observed and the ADC values of diseased region were measured.The diagnostic value of DWIBS on pulmonary diseases was evaluated.Results Lung cancer and inflammatory disease were all demonstrated as dense intensity area on DWIBS.The mean ADC value of central lung cancer was (1.05±0.23)×10-3 mm2/s.The mean ADC value of peripheral lung cancer was(1.10±0.17)×10-3 mm2/s.The mean ADC value of the inflammatory disease was(1.69±0.29)×10-3 mm2/s.The mean ADC value had significant difierence between peripheral lung cancer and the inflammatory disease (P＜0.05). The MR sensitivity,specificity and accuracy in diagnosing the pulmonary diseases with DWIBS(86.84%,82.60%,85.24%,respectively) was higher than conventional MRI(78.94%,78.26%,and 78.68%,respectively).Conclusion DWIBS can demonstrate clearly the lesion's shape with 3D display.The quantitative measurement of ADC values iS feasible.DWIBS may be a potential diagnostic method for differentiation on pulmonary diseases.
