Chinese Journal of Health Management 2017;11(1):40-46
Objective To investigate the relationships between different dietary patterns and serum uric acid in Tianjin residents. Method By cross-sectional study design, 11282 subjects were studied via lifestyle questionnaires (including a valid food frequency questionnaire), physical examination and laboratory tests. Using factor analysis method to establish the dietary patterns, and relationships between different dietary patterns and serum uric acid were analyzed. Results Factor analysis showed 3 kinds of dietary patterns, including eastern dietary pattern, vegetable diets and Tianjin dietary pattern. There were more males in hyperuricemic population, who have a higher BMI, waist circumference, blood lipids, blood pressure and blood sugar levels, and also higher proportion of metabolic syndrome, smokers and alcohol drinkers. In addition, hyperuricemia patients had a higher level of social status and income. After adjustments for age, sex, BMI, smoking habits, alcohol consumption, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, education level, occupational status, energy intake, physical activity and metabolic syndrome, logistic regression analysis showed the odds ratio (95%confidence interval) for hyperuricemia across the quartiles of 3 dietary patterns as follows: 1.00, 1.07 (0.91, 1.25), 0.96 (0.82, 1.14), 1.12 (0.94, 1.33);1.00, 1.03 (0.88, 1.21), 1.04 (0.88, 1.23), 1.00 (0.84, 1.19); 1.00, 1.28 (1.08, 1.52), 1.40 (1.22, 1.71), 1.37 (1.15, 1.63), respectively. Significantly positive correlation was shown between Tianjin dietary pattern and hyperuricemia. Conclusion Tianjin residents' Tianjin dietary pattern is closely related to serum uric acid levels. Tianjin dietary patterns have characteristics of high calorie, high fat, high protein. Healthy eating habits have significant importance to prevent occurrence of hyperuricemia.

Objective To establish a new traceability pathway of point-of-care testing ( POCT ) of HBA1c by using commutable quality controls, in order to improve the accuracy of POCT HBA1c and the harmonization of testing results with those of central laboratories. Methods The study was about measurement traceability. Human frozen whole blood samples with IFCC assigned values were used to calibrate the G8 HBA1c Variant in June, 2013.According to the CLSI EP9-A2-IR guideline, 50 patient samples and 2-level commercial QC samples were then analyzed by G8 system and DCA Ventage system. The best fitting curves for fresh patient samples and the commercial QC materials were established separately. The patient results tested on the DCA Ventage were modified and verified.Paired t-test and Passing Bablok linear regression were used. Results The linear equation of DCA/G8 before calibration was Y=0.899 5X+0.389 1(R2 =0.991 0).Calibration by fresh patient samples reduced the mean bias of DCA/G8 from -0.40%±0.34%to 0.00%±0.29%.Calibration by QCs reduced the mean bias to 0.15%±0.29%.The linear correlation established by quality controls was stable, which made the bias was lower between DCA and G8 in the consequent six runs. Conclusions The accuracy and the traceability of POC testing could be realized by using commutable QC materials traceable to IFCC assigned values.Through this method, POC testing can become more comparable to the results of clinical laboratory HBA1c instruments.

Objective To study the detection rate of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) with different perfusion methods on rabbit VX2 small hepatocellular carcinoma less than 10.0 mm. Methods VX2 tumor cells were inoculated into the subcutaneous tissue of New Zealand rabbit′s thigh. Then the plant tumor were cut into small blocks under sterile conditions and transplanted into hepatic parenchyma in 30 New Zealand rabbits. The contrast media was injected through peripheral vein by single and double perfusion methods. The detection rate of two methods were compared. Results There were 41 hepatocellular carcinoma lesions in the 30 rabbits. There were 15 lesions with size between 3.0 mm and 5.0 mm, and 26 lesions between 5.0 mm and 10.0 mm in diameter. On CEUS, the VX2 tumor presented fast-in and fast-out pattern. In arterial phase, the lesion was enhanced rapidly. In portal venous phase, contrast began to wash out from the carcinoma. In delay phase, the enhancement of lesion was signiifcantly lower than the surrounding normal liver parenchyma. A total of 32 lesions were detected by single perfusion method, including 7 lesions ranging 3.0-5.0 mm and 25 lesions ranging 5.0-10.0 mm. A total of 39 lesions were detected by double perfusion method, including 13 lesions ranging 3.0-5.0 mm and 26 lesions ranging 5.0-10.0 mm. The detection rate of micro-hepatocellular carcinoma by single and double perfusion method was 78% and 95% respectively. The difference was statistically signiifcant (χ2=5.150, P=0.023). The detection rate of 3.0-5.0 mm lesions by single and double perfusion method was 47%and 87%, respectively. The difference was statistically signiifcant ( χ2=5.400, P=0.025). The detection rate of 5.0-10.0 mm lesions by single and double perfusion method was 96% and 100%, respectively. There was no statistically signiifcant difference (χ2=1.020, P=0.500). Conclusion The double perfusion method greatly promotes the detection of micro hepatocellular carcinoma, especially for the lesions less than 5.0 mm in diameter.

·AIM: To evaluate the effect of femtosecond laser assisted cataract surgery combined with triple - focus intraocular lens implantation in the treatment of cataract. ·METHODS:Totally 86 cases (106 eyes) of patients with double cataract in our hospital from January 2016 to January 2017 were selected, including 49 cases (59 eyes) were set as the observation group ( treated with femtosecond laser assisted phacoemulsification combined with triple-focus intraocular lens implantation), and 37 cases (47 eyes) were set as the control group (received traditional phacoemulsification combined with triple -focus intraocular lens implantation). Corneal endothelial cell density, cumulative dissipated energy(CDE),distant and near visual accommodation before and after operation were compared between the two groups, postoperative complications were observed. ·RESULTS: The preoperative corneal endothelial cell density of two groups had no significant difference (P>0.05). The corneal endothelial cell density of two groups significantly decreased at postoperative 1wk,with statistic significance within groups (P<0. 05), and the corneal endothelial cell density of the control group was significantly lower than that of the observation group at postoperative 1wk (P<0.05). The CDE of the observation group were lower than that of the control group, and the difference between the two groups was significant (P<0.05). There were significant differences in best corrected visual acuity at different time points between the two groups (P<0.01). The best corrected visual acuity at 1 and 3mo after operation in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was significant (P<0.05). There was no capsular tear in the observation group, while the incidence rate was 4.3% in the control group, with no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05). The incidence of glare and halo in the observation group was 10.2% and 8.5% in the control group, and are in the patients whose age was above 60 years old, there was no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05). · CONCLUSION: Femtosecond laser assisted cataract surgery combined with triple - focus intraocular lens implantation in the treatment of cataract can not only improve curative effect, but also provide high safety, while the adverse events including glare, halo and other adverse visual circumstances should be considered after triple-focus intraocular lens implantation.
