Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2014;31(6):1350-1354
In the present work, Monte Carlo simulations were employed to study the characteristics of the dose distribution of high energy electron beam in the presence of uniform transverse magnetic field. The simulations carried out the transport processes of the 30 MeV electron beam in the homogeneous water phantom with different magnetic field. It was found that the dose distribution of the 30 MeV electron beam had changed significantly because of the magnetic field. The result showed that the range of the electron beam was decreased obviously and it formed a very high dose peak at the end of the range, and the ratio of maximum dose to the dose of the surface was greatly increased. The results of this study demonstrated that we could change the depth dose distribution of electron beam which is analogous to the heavy ion by modulating the energy of the electron and magnetic field. It means that using magnetic fields in conjunction with electron radiation therapy has great application prospect, but it also has brought new challenges for the research of dose algorithm.

Microbiology 2008;0(07):-
Sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB) are widespread in the environment. SRB are obligate anaerobes and capable of dissimilatory reduction of sulfate. SRB have application prospects in the control of environmental pollution due to that many pollutants can be removed by SRB. The biological characteristics and metabolic mechanisms of SRB are introduced, and the application of SRB in the treatment of environmental pollution is described in this paper. The research progress of Cr(Ⅵ ) reduction and Cr(Ⅵ ) removal from wastewater by SRB is reviewed, and future direction of research on the control of Cr(Ⅵ ) pollution by SRB is also analysed.

L-theanine (γ-glutamylethylamide) is the main free amino acid component of tea and its favorable physiological effects on mammals have been reported. An enzymatic method for optically pure L-theanine production with a new L-aminoacylases-production fungi Cunnighamella echinulata 9980 was developed. The optimum conditions for enzymatic catalysis were at pH 6.5 with 50 mmol/L N-Acyl-DLtheanine and 40 mmol/L CoCl2. After 12-h incubation at 50℃,22.5 mmol/L L-theanine was obtained, the conversion rate against N-Acyl-L-theanine being 90%. Cunnighamella echinulata and the aminoacylase were applied in preparation of L-theanine.

Microbiology 1992;0(04):-
The strain of Cunninghamella echinulata 9980 was first selected with high aminoacylase activity . In three submerged cultures, the aminoacylase activity in the mycelial cell was compared . A number of factors have effects on the resolution reaction. The results showed that, peptone culture gave the highest aminoacylase activity with 680U/g.The optium temperature,pH,and substrate concentration were 55℃, 7.0,and 0.2mol/L,respectively. The ions in the buffer lowered the activity, but the Co~(2+) in 10~(-4)~10~(-3 )mol/L was necessary for its activity.

OBJCETIVETo investigate the method of separation of culture of bone microvascular endothelial cells (BMECs) of human femoral head in vitro.
METHODSFrom October 2013 to January 2014,15 femoral heads without pathologic change from patients resected during hip replacement were selected involving 2 males and 13 females with a mean age of 71.2 years old ranging from 38 to 92. Cancellous bone in femoral head was bited into broken bone grain and transfered into medium in aseptic contidion. Cells were isolated by the methods of enzymic digestion and density gradient centrifugation, purified by differiential attachment. The characteristics of cells was observed by inverted microscope. vWF and CD31 immunofluorescence analysis was applied for identification of cells.
RESULTSThe number of cells was positively correlated with patients' age after 24 hours in primary culture. The older patients had the less cells numbered. After 4 to 5 days' culture, primary cells appeared short spindle, polygon shaped and cobblestone-like morphology. After 7 to 10 days' culture, primary cells proliferated densely, became fusion, arranged in swirl, and contact inhibition appeared significantly. Immunofluorescence staining revealed the cells were 100% positive for vWF and CD31, and it showed that the cultured cells were BMECs.
CONCLUSIONIt was a simple, steady, effective method with good reproducibility, by which highly purified human BMECs can be obtained.

An HPLC method for the determination of geniposide concentration in mouse plasma was developed and the pharmacokinetics after intranasal administration of Xingnaojing microemulsion (XNJ-M) and mPEG2000-PLA modified Xingnaojing microemulsion (XNJ-MM) were investigated. Eighty mice were treated by XNJ-M and XNJ-MM nasally. The plasma samples were collected at different times and the drug in samples was detected by HPLC. The pharmacokinetic parameters were calculated by the software of Kinetica. The pharmacokinetic parameters of geniposide of XNJ-M were C(max) (4.36 +/- 2.69) mg x L(-1), t(max) 1 min, MRT (29.73 +/- 4.54) min, AUC (53.63 +/- 14.03) mg x L(-1) x min. The pharmacokinetic parameters of geniposide of XNJ-MM were C(max) (9.75 +/- 4.14) mg x L(-1), t(max) 1 min, MRT(22.34 +/- 2.90) min, AUC (131.87 +/- 40.13) mg x L(-1) x min. Geniposide can be absorbed into blood in a higher degree after intranasal administration with XNJ-MM compared to XNJ-M, which maybe caused by its less irritating and more absorption.

Chinese Journal of Modern Nursing 2009;15(4):307-309
Objective To analyze the relationship between body weight index (BMI) during the different pregnant weeks and the birth weight of newborns. Methods One hundred pregnant women and newborns were selected. BMI in every month during the pregnancy period, birth weight and height were observed and recorded. Then the relationship between BMI of pregnant women and birth weight of newborns was analyzed using Peas, son correlation coefficient. Results The correlation between BMI of pregnancy from the fifth month to the ninth month and the birth weight of newborns had significantly statistical meaning, especially the correlation between BMI of the fifth, the sixth and the eighth months and the birth weight of newborns were more obvious, each showing a positive correlation. Conclusions The higher the BMI of pregnant women, the higher the birth weight of newborns. Therefore the pertinent diet guidance should be given to the pregnant women in the middle to late stages of pregnancy according to the pregnant women's BMI, in order to reduce the incidence of enormous infants and premature infants.

Objective To investigate the pathogenesis of osteoarthritis and feasibility of acupotomy therapy through the observation on the influences of acupotomy therapy on ethology and morphology in rabbits with knee osteoarthritis. Methods The model of knee osteoarthritis was established by applying the fixed method of knee extension posture in rabbits. The therapy of electro-acupuncture and acupotomy therapy were used to treat the rabbits. After 3 weeks the knee joint function was observed and reviewed based on Lequesne algofunctional index. The light microscope was used to observe tibia tissue after HE staining. The transmission electron microscope (TEM) was used to observe the internal femoral condyle cartilage. Results Lequesne algofunctional index showed that in local reaction, gait reaction and joint motion there was a significant different between the electro-acupuncture group or acupotomy group and the normal group or model group (P<0.05), respectively, while there was no different between the electro-acupuncture group and acupotomy group (P>0.05). HE staining showed that the cartilage injury was relieved and tended to recovery in the electro-acupuncture group and acupotomy group. The result of TEM showed that the lesion of cartilage cells and disorder of collagen fibrils were relieved in the acupotomy group, which is similar to those in the electro-acupuncture group. Conclusion The acupotomy therapy has a good curative effect on knee osteoarthritis, which is proved at macroscopic and microscopic levels.
