Hyperlipidemia is an important risk factor of cardio-/cerebrovascular disease, and reducing lipids has become an important project for itsclinical preventing and treating. Western medicine, with its confirmative efficacy and clear mechanism, has played an irreplaceable role. Along with the development of modern medicine, integrative medicine has gradually become a growing trend in regulating blood lipids metabolism. It not only could make up the insufficient power for Chinese medicine in lowering lipids, but also could reduce adverse reactions and economic costs brought by long-term administration of Western medicine. As a modern practitioner of Chinese medicine, we should keep clear that integrative medicine regulating blood lipids metabolism does not mean a simple combination of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine. We should treat it guided by systematic theories. We combine disease identification and syndrome differentiation, guide lipids lowering by integrative medicine including selecting Western drugs for blood lipids lowering, Chinese medical prescriptions for syndrome typing, and effective Chinese herbs based on modern pharmacologies.

Objective To discuss effects of anti-inflammatory mechanism of amygdalin on rats with type II collagen-induced arthritis (CIA). Methods Wistar rats were randomized into normal group, model group, amygdalin group, and tripterygium group. Type II CIA rat models were established. From the 15th day after the modeling establishment, each administration group was given corresponding dose of medicine for continuous 28 days. Levels of TNF-αand sICAM-1 were detected by ELISA in serum of rats, and expression of TNF-α was detected by immuno-histochemical method. Results TNF-α positive expression in amygdalin group and tripterygium group was similar and significantly reduced compared with model group. Levels TNF-α and sICAM-1 in amygdalin group and tripterygium group significantly decreased compared with those in model group (P<0.05), without significant difference compared with normal group (P>0.05). Conclusion Amygdalin can inhibit the expression of TNF-α and levels of TNF-α and sICAM-1, in order to treat rheumatoid arthritis.

A method was established for the simultaneous determination of the total fatty acid esters of chloropropanols in edible oils by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry combined with isotope dilution technology. The samples were hydrolyzed with sodium methylate-methanol, and then purified by diatomite cartridge. After being derivatized with heptafluorobutyrylimidazole ( HFBI ), the target analytes were determined by GC-MS with the deuteriumchloropropanols esters as the internal standards. An excellent linear correlation in the range of 0. 050-2. 000 mg / L was acquired for 3-monochloropropane-1,2-diol (3-MCPD) esters, 2-MCPD esters, dichloropropan-2-ol (1,3-DCP) esters and 2,3-dichloropropan-1-ol (2,3-DCP) esters, with all the correlation coefficients (r) higher than 0. 9995. The limits of detection (LODs) for 3-MCPD esters, 2-MCPD esters, 1,3-DCP esters and 2,3-DCP esters were 0. 015, 0. 015, 0. 030, and 0. 030 mg / kg, respectively, and the limits of quantitation (LOQ) were 0. 050, 0. 050, 0. 100, and 0. 100 mg / kg, respectively. The average spike recoveries of the four kinds of chloropropanols esters in blank extra virgin olive oil matrix were typically in a range of 87. 0% -110. 5% with the relative standard deviations (RSDs) less than 10. 1% . The detection rates of 3-MCPD esters, 2-MCPD esters, 1,3-DCP esters and 2,3-DCP esters in 74 edible oil samples were 94. 6% , 63. 5% , 5. 4% , and 0% , respectively. The contamination levels of 3-MCPD esters, 2-MCPD esters and 1,3-DCP esters were in the range of not detected (ND) to 10. 646 mg / kg, ND to 3. 617 mg / kg and ND to 0. 089 mg / kg, respectively. This method is accurate and rugged for the simultaneous determination of total fatty acid esters of chloropropanols in edible vegetable oils.

AIM To prepare the andrographolide-loaded solid dispersions.METHODS Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD) were used for the analysis of solid dispersions previously prepared from the mixture of andrographolide and PVPK30 (1 ∶ 9) in autoclave.In addition to the evaluation index of in vitro dissolution rate,the influencing factors of pressure,temperature and reaction time were taken into consideration for the preparation optimization by Box-Behnken method.RESULTS Andrographolide was totally dispersed in solid dispersions in an amorphous state,manifesting an inhibited crystal diffraction peaks' formulation.Under the optimal conditions of 21.26 MPa for pressure,40.76 ℃ for temperature,and 1.13 h for reaction time,the in vitro dissolution rate was 85.49％.CONCLUSION After andrographolide is made into solid dispersions,its in vitro dissolution rate is obviously increased.

Objective To evaluate the diagnostic evaluation of isotropic scanning and Lung Care soft- ware in solitary pulmonary nodules,and to improve the diagnostic accuracy.Methods 52 patients suffered from SPN were included in our study.Two experts in CT analyzed the films.First,they read the axial images and made diagnosis.Then isotropic scanning and lung care software approaches were used on 16 spiral CT and another analysis were made again.The results were compared with pathological diagnosis respectively. Objective To evaluate the safety and feasibility of ketamine-propofol mixture anesthesia for 85 children with congenital heart disease undergoing cardiac catheterization.Methods Eighty-five children with congenital heart disease undergoing cardiac cathete-rization were randomly divided into ketamine group(K group,n=44)and ketamin-propofol group(KP group,n=41).K group:1 mg?kg-1 ketamine was injected intravenously and then infused at 50 ?g?kg-1?min-1 for anesthesia maintenance.KP group:anesthesia was induced with ketamine 1 mg?kg-1 and propofol 1 mg?kg-1 intravenously,and maintained by continuous infusion of ketamine(16.7 ?g?kg-1?min-1)and propofol(33.3 ?g?kg-1?min-1).Electrocardiogram,blood pressure,pluse,respiratory frequency,saturation of blood oxygen were continously monitored.Results Hemodynamic and respiratory function were stable in both 2 groups.Ketamine consumption in K group was significantly more than that in KP group[(52.1?2.8)?g?kg-1?min-1 vs(25.3?7.3)?g?kg-1?min-1],eye opening time and recovery time were also longer in K group than those in KP group [(50.2?16.5)min vs(40.4?18.3)min].Conclusion The ketamine-propofol mixture was a safe,efficacy anesthesia with excellent recovery in children with congenital heart disease undergoing cardiac catheterization.
