Objective To evaluate the value of dynamic grey-scale enhanced ultrasonography in the differential diagnosis of hepatic tumors.Methods Twenty-four patients with 25 hepatic solid lesions were examined by dynamic enhanced ultrasonography with a bolus injection of Levovist (400 mg/ml). Results All lesions were confirmed by operation and pathology, including 16 hepatocellular carcinomas (HCC), 3 hepatic hemangiomas (HCH), 1 inflammatory pseudotumor of liver (IPL), 2 focal nodular hyperplasias (FNH) and 3 angiomyolipomas (AML). Twenty-five lesions were variously enhanced on grey-scale ultrasonogram after injection of Levovist except for IPL. The lesions with HCCs were enhanced early in the arterial phase and disappeared quickly in portal phase. The lesions with HCHs were enhanced slowly in the peripheral region of the lesion. The FNH and AML were also enhanced early in arterial phase, but disappeared slowly in delay phase. If the hepatic lesions showed the earlier enhancement in arterial phase and fast disappearance in portal phase on contrast enhanced ultrasonogram were regarded as a criterion of malignant tumor, the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy with contrast enhanced ultrasonography in the diagnosis of hepatic malignant tumor were 94%(15/16),89%(8/9)and 92%(23/25), respectively. Conclusions The dynamic grey-scale enhanced ultrasonography is a useful technique in the differential diagnosis of hepatic tumors.

Objective To compare enhancement features of hepatic tumors on SonoVue-enhanced real-time gray-scale ultrasonography and contrast-enhanced helical CT.Methods SonoVue-enhanced real-time gray-scale ultrasonography and contrast-enhanced helical CT were performed on 49 patients with 54 focal liver lesions,including 29 primary liver carcinomas,4 metastatic liver tumors,11 hepatic carvernous hemangiomas,7 focal nodular hyperplasias,2 focal fatty sparing,1 cirrhotic.Results Contrast-enhanced ultrasonography and helical CT showed consistent results in demonstrating hemodynamics of hepatic tumors.In the differentiating of malignant tumors and benign tumors,the sensitivity,specificity and accuracy of contrast-enhanced ultrasonography were(90.9)%(30/33),(90.5)%(19/21) and(90.7)%((49/54)),respectively.Those of contrast-enhanced CT were(90.9)%(30/33),(95.2)%(20/21) and(92.6)%((50/54)),respectively.Conclusions Both of the two imaging methods are valuable for differential diagnosis of liver tumors.

Objective:To observe the effects of soybean isoflavones(SI) on uteri and uterine Er?,ER? expression in perimenopausal rats. Method:Female SD rats in age of 7-month-old were used as control and 11-month-old SD rats were divided into 5 groups,model group,diethylstilbestrol group and 3 test groups exposed to three doses of SI(ig:30,12,4.6 mg/kg?d) respectively for 35 d. Serum concentrations of estradiol(E2) ,testosterone(T) ,follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH) and luteinizing hormone(LH) were determined. Ultrastructure of uterine luminal surface was observed by scanning electron microscopy and hematoxylin-eosin staining. Expression of ER? and ER? in the uteri were determined by immunohistochemistry. Objective:To observe the effect of Shuganlidanpaishiwan and its different extractive fractions on gallbladder motility of rabbits. Methods:Establishing 100 rabbit animal models,the rabbits were randomly divided into 10 groups:the low and high dose groups of Shuganlidanpaishiwan,methanolic extract,petroleum ether and ethylacetate,negative and positive control groups,to observe the gallbladder motility of every group of animals. Results:The contraction rate of gallbladder on 30th minute after Adm were(9.40?3.36) ,(10.00?2.00) ,(14.00?2.00) on high dose of Shuganlidanpaishiwan group,methanolice extract group and the low dose of petroleum ether group respectively,which were significantly higher than that of control group. Conclusion:Shuganlidanpaishiwan,methanolice extract and petroleum ether extract could improve the gallbladder contractility.

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of ultrasound in primary hepatic lymphoma (PHL).Methods The ultrasonic and clinical features in 40 cases of PHL were analyzed retrospectively.All cases were pathologically confirmed by surgical operation or ultrasound-guided biopsy.Results The most common presentation of PHL was a solitary lesion which occurred in 57.5％ (23/40) of patients,followed by multiple lesions in 30.0％ (12/40),and diffuse infiltration patterns in 12.5 ％ (5/40).The first two types were usually shown on ultrasound as hypoechoic lesions with surrounding normal liver parenchyma in 88.6％ (31/35) of cases.The diffuse pattern presented as diffuse hepatomegaly without nodules in the liver parenchyma.There were 52.5％ (21/40) of the lesions which could not be diagnosed either as benign or malignant by ultrasound.Conclusions The clinical presentations and imaging features of PHL are non-specific.PHL should be considered as a differential diagnosis in cases of liver metastases when no primary tumour is apparent,or when sonographic findings show atypical features of primary liver carcinoma or hemangioma.When patients with unexplained fever and diffuse hepatomegaly,PHL should be considered and precaution should be taken to prevent to misdiagnose these patients as having fatty liver or chronic liver disease.

Objective To find out the iodine nutritional status of children in Xiamen island, and to provide the scientific basis for iodine supplimentation. Methods On March 2010, thyroids of all children aged 6to 12, from primary school on the Xiaodeng island of Xiamen were examined by palpation, urinary iodine, iodine content of salt athome and IQ level were tested, and were collected 20 households, iodine content of drinking water was tested randomly. Results IQ testing and thyroid palpation were carried out among a total of 156 children, the goiter rate of children was 1.28% (2/156), the mean IQ was 110; 154 urine samples were taken, the median urinary iodine was 219.1 μg/L; a total of 153 salt samples were tested, and the qualified rate of iodized salt was 87.58%(134/153), and the mean iodine content in the tap water was 4.52 μg/L Conclusions Iodine nutritional status of the island residents is better, and there are no such problems as excessive iodine.
