Objective To report the functional reconstruction and rehabilitation for a patient who under- went allograft for both of his forearms and hands. Methods One male patient underwent allograft for both of his forearms and hands in October 2002 in our department to reconstruct his hand functions. The allografted hands were intervened with an integrated rehabilitation program, which involved administration of immunosuppressants,post- operative monitoring, postoperative functional training, massage, physiotherapy, orthosis, performance training, sensation training, secondary operation and mental rehabilitation. The patient was followed up for 4 years. Results The forearms and hands of the patient were in good shape and regained nearly normal sensation. The distance of two-point-discrimination was 2.5 cm to 4.0cm.The TAM (total active motion) of fingers was fine. The patient could look after himself well and were healthy in psychology. Conclusion An integrated rehabilitation program can yield satisfactory results in the management of allografted forearms and hands.

Microbiology 2008;0(07):-
Sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB) are widespread in the environment. SRB are obligate anaerobes and capable of dissimilatory reduction of sulfate. SRB have application prospects in the control of environmental pollution due to that many pollutants can be removed by SRB. The biological characteristics and metabolic mechanisms of SRB are introduced, and the application of SRB in the treatment of environmental pollution is described in this paper. The research progress of Cr(Ⅵ ) reduction and Cr(Ⅵ ) removal from wastewater by SRB is reviewed, and future direction of research on the control of Cr(Ⅵ ) pollution by SRB is also analysed.

OBJECTIVETo study the therapeutic effects of posterolateral depression fractures of the tibial plateau through a modified anterolateral approach.
METHODSFrom February 2011 to January 2012,13 patients with posterolateral depression fractures of the tibial plateau were treated through a modified anterolateral approach. There were 8 males and 5 females, ranging in age from 28 to 59 years old (49.2 years old on average). Data from patients were collected retrospectively as follows: X-ray, time of fracture healing and the complications of fracture healing. The patients were evaluated both clinically and radiologically according to the Rasmussen score system.
RESULTSAll the patients were followed up, and the duration ranged from 6 to 18 months (mean 13.7 months). All the patients got bony union. The average radiographic bony union time was 15.1 weeks (ranged, 11 to 17 weeks). No case of secondary articular depression was found. No complications such as malunion or joint stiffness were found. But 1 patient had superficial infection and 1 patient had common peroneal nerve injury. According to the Rasmussen score system, the mean radiological score was 16.50 ± 0.67 (ranged, 13 to 18), and the mean functional score was 25.20 ± 2.21 (ranged, 13 to 30). The mean range of knee motion was (125.3 ± 9.3)° (ranged, 0° to 135°).
CONCLUSIONTreatment of depression fractures of posterolateral tibial plateau with a modified anterolateral approach is a safe method with effective exposure, due to its stable fixation and relatively good outcome with minimal soft-tissue complications. It is regarded as an ideal procedure for depression fractures of posterolateral tibial plateau.

OBJCETIVETo investigate the method of separation of culture of bone microvascular endothelial cells (BMECs) of human femoral head in vitro.
METHODSFrom October 2013 to January 2014,15 femoral heads without pathologic change from patients resected during hip replacement were selected involving 2 males and 13 females with a mean age of 71.2 years old ranging from 38 to 92. Cancellous bone in femoral head was bited into broken bone grain and transfered into medium in aseptic contidion. Cells were isolated by the methods of enzymic digestion and density gradient centrifugation, purified by differiential attachment. The characteristics of cells was observed by inverted microscope. vWF and CD31 immunofluorescence analysis was applied for identification of cells.
RESULTSThe number of cells was positively correlated with patients' age after 24 hours in primary culture. The older patients had the less cells numbered. After 4 to 5 days' culture, primary cells appeared short spindle, polygon shaped and cobblestone-like morphology. After 7 to 10 days' culture, primary cells proliferated densely, became fusion, arranged in swirl, and contact inhibition appeared significantly. Immunofluorescence staining revealed the cells were 100% positive for vWF and CD31, and it showed that the cultured cells were BMECs.
CONCLUSIONIt was a simple, steady, effective method with good reproducibility, by which highly purified human BMECs can be obtained.

8.Confirmation of pipetting performances for fully-open automatic biochemistry analyzers.
Chinese Journal of Medical Instrumentation 2005;29(4):277-282
This paper introduces a kind of evaluation method in pipetting performance on new fully automated biochemistry analyzers by experiments. The performance of sample pipetting volume is confirmed by dye dilution method, the performance of reagent pipetting volume and dummy volume is done by weighing method. Meanwhile, researches and comparative researches on dummy volumes in different conditions have been made, providing valuable reference for clinical applications of automatic biochemistry analyzers.

Compared with living spray method, it focused on the investigation of different inoculation methods, various inoculation concentration and the influence of different seeding age on soft rot-resistance in Jinxianlian. The results showed that (1) Inoculated with dropping connection, the difference of disease index between A. roxburghii and A. formosanus was grate, so that the disease-resistance could be obviously distinguished. (2) When the inoculation concentration was 1.0 x 10(7) cfu x mL(-1), the difference of disease index was relatively obvious and the disease-resistance could be differentiated well. (3) At the moment of 4-month seeding inoculation, a certain difference of the disease index between A. roxburghii and A. formosanus was existed, so, relatively, it could accurately reflect the resistance difference between various species. With the inoculation of dropping connection, A. roxburghii and A. formosanus of 4-month seeding age was put in the bacteria suspension of inoculation concentration of 1.0 x 10(7) cfu x mL(-1). The identification was taken up after 5 days in the incubator under the condition of 14 h daylight and 28 degrees C. The identification result was conformed with that of the living spray method. To investigate the identification method of in vitro evaluation of soft rot-resistance of Jinxianlian so as to provide the foundation for germplasm utilization and excellent cultivars breeding.
