OBJECTIVE To study infection and drug resistance of Mycoplasma from female genital tract.METHODS Mycoplasma in cervical secretion from inflammed female genital tract were identified by cultivation,and the sensitivities to antibiotics were also performed.RESULTS Mycoplasma were detected in 318 specimens among 588 patients with genital tract inflammation(54.1%),among which Ureaplasma urealyticum(Uu) accounted for 312(98.1%),and Mycoplasma hominis was 6(1.9%).The resistance to 12 kinds of antibiotics indicated that the sensitivities to 8 kinds of antibiotics were higher than 80% and the sensitivities to erythromycin,spiramycin and tetracycline were the lowest.CONCLUSIONS The infectious rates of Uu are on big rise in female genital tract with inflammation and the resistant strains increase continuously.

Objective To sum up the experience of a large-scale aero transportation of mass casualties away from the quake-hit region to distant cities,and to provide reference for medical transportation of mass casualties.Method The study analyzed the aero medical transportation of 3 482 casualties from quake-hit region treated in West China Hospital of Siehuan University and other seven hospitals in Sichuan Province to other provinces from 22 May 2008 to 3 June 2008.The influencing factors of aero medical transportation were discussed,including selection standard of patients,preparation of staff and mcterials before transportation,management during transportation.The selection standards were:patients with stable condition after orthopedic operation and craniocerebral operation,and patients with passage of gas by anus after abdominal operation 5 days.Results Total of 3 482 casualties were transported in 99 times to 19 cities including Guangzhou,Shanghai,Shenyang,only 8 victims felt a little bit uncomfortable during flight,and recovered soon after management.Conclusions Total of 3 482 patients were safely transported.Strict selection of patients,comprehensive planning and monitoring,and psychotherapy are important for aero medical transfer.

Objective To study the expression of human kallikrein gene(KLK) 4 and KLK5 in ovarian cancers,and to investigate the pathogenesis in malignant tumors. Methods Fifty specimens of ovarian cancers were divided into three groups: malignant tumor group(n=23),borderline tumor group(n=6) and control group(normal or benign tumor,n=21).Fluorescent quantitative RT-PCR was employed to determine the expression of KLK4 and KLK5 in these specimens. AIM:To observe the image features of Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada disease (VKH) and multiple central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC) by fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA) and optical coherence tomography (OCT).METHODS:Thirty-two eyes of 17 patients with VKH and thirty-five eyes of 30 patients with multiple CSC were collected from 2009 to 2016 in my hospital.RESULTS:All the eyes with VKH were found small and dense fluorescein leakage in the early stage.The 17 eyes (53%) with VKH were found fluorescein accumulation in the final stage;24 eyes (75%) with VKH were found high fluorescence of optic disc.All of eyes with multiple CSC were found multifocal leakage in the early stage.And 2 eyes (6%) with multiple CSC were found high fluorescence of optic disc.There were 28 eyes (14 patients) with VKH and 25 eyes (22 patients) with multiple CSC had been done OCT in my hospital.Retinal pigment epithelial fold was only found in VKH.Fluctuation of internal limiting membrane (ILM) and membrane structure had higher sensitivity to diagnostic VKH from to multiple CSC, with sensitivity of 54% and 68% respectively.CONCLUSION:There are some similarities as well as differences between FFA and OCT in diagnosis of VKH and multiple CSC.A combination usage of FFA and OCT can be more effective in distinguishing VKH from multiple CSC.

AIM: To compare the visual acuity and contrast sensitivity of eyes with different corneal spherical aberration implanted with the same aspherical IOL and evaluate the effect of different ocular spherical aberration on visual performance after phacoemulsification.
METHODS:It was a prospective case series study. Forty-six eyes of thirty-nine age-related cataract patients in our department were included. The patients were divided into 3 groups according to the value of preoperative corneal spherical aberration. Eyes with corneal spherical aberration≤0. 2μm were assigned to group A, those with corneal spherical aberration >0. 2μm and ≤0. 3μm to group B, and those with corneal spherical aberration≥ 0. 3μm to group C. All patients underwent phacoemulcification and recieved AcrySof IQ aspheric IOL. Uncorrected visual acuity ( UCVA ) , best-corrected visual acuity( BCVA) , contrast sensitivity, and total ocular higher - order aberrations for a 6. 0mm pupil were recorded 3mo postoperatively. ANOVA were used to analyze the data.
RESULTS: There were no significant differences in UCVA and BCVA between the 3 groups (P=0. 287, 0. 115). Contrast sensitivity was no statistically significant difference between the 3 groups at any spatial frequency under photopic、 mesopic, and mesopic with glare conditions (P>0. 05). With a 6. 0mm pupil diameter, root mean square values for total ocular higher - order aberrations were lower in groups A and B than that in group C (P=0. 000). The difference of total ocular spherical aberration was statistically significant between the 3 groups (P=0. 000). Coma and trefoil were similar between the groups (P=0. 788,0. 590), with no statistically significant differences.CONCLUSION:Implantation of the same aspherical IOL in eyes with different corneal spherical aberration results in similar visual acuity and contrast sensitivity. Small differences of ocular spherical aberration after phacoemulsification have no effect on visual performance.

Objective To analyze the significance of the liquid-based thinprep cytologic test (TCT ) in early cervical cancer screening by comparing cervical atypical squamous cells (ASC) and the histologic diagnostic results in order to guide the clinician to correctly understand the meaning of ASC and further explore the effective method of early cervical cancer screening .Methods 163 cases of cervical ASC diagnosed by histology and TCT were retrospectively analyzed and the comparative analysis was performed . Results Among 163 cases of cervical biopsy ,50 cases were ASC of undetermined significance (ASC-US) diagnosed by TCT ,the positive cases verified by the histology accounted for 49 .3% ;13 cases were ASC of highly squamous intraepithelial lesions diag-nosed by TCT ,the positive cases verified by the histology accounted for 76 .9% .The cases of ASC-US diagnosed by cytology and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grade Ⅱ(CIN Ⅱ) and above diagnosed by histology accounted for 12% .Conclusion ASC-H high-ly suggests the clinical possibility of high-grade intraepithelial neoplasia .ASC-US is a suggestive diagnosis rather than a clarity di-agnosis .Correctly understanding the clinical significance of ASC can discover early cervical lesions as early as possible .

OBJECTIVE: To observe waveform differences among ocular vestibular evoked myogenic potentials (ACS-oVEMP) elicited by different types of air conducted sound in normal young Chinese subjects. METHOD: Twenty-two adult volunteers (44 ears) were recruited as research subjects including 12 males and 10 females aged between 18 and 35. Five hundred Hz tone burst, 125 Hz tone burst and click were employed as stimulus for conventional ACS-oVEMP examinations in bilateral ears of each subject. The response rate, threshold, n I latency, p I latency, n I-p I latency interval, amplitude and inter-aural asymmetry were recorded and compared among groups. RESULT: The response rate was 100% (44/44) in 500 Hz tone burst group, 40.9% (18/44) in 125 Hz tone burst group and 29.6% (12/44) in click group There were statistical significant differences between the 500 Hz tone burst group and the other groups (P < 0.05). Waveform amplitude was the largest in the 500 Hz tone burst group (7.3 +/- 5.5) muV than that in the 125 Hz tone burst group (3.8 +/- 1.5) muV and that in the click group (5.8 +/- 1.3) muV, which had statistically significant differences between the former and the later two groups (P < 0.05). Other waveform parameters presented similar differeces. CONCLUSION ACS-oVEMP waveforms could be largely affected by different stimulus. 500 Hz tone burst was the best stimulus with highest response rate, biggest amplitude and therefore most easily recognizable waveform in ACS-oVEMP examination.
