The humanity education of science and engineering college has brought not only historical chance but also impact and challenge with the coming of new century.This text has probed into graduate students' humanity education requirement and countermeasures.

ObjectiveTo comprehensively evaluate the curative effect ofTCM reating type 2 diabetes with three type dialectical therapy by Fuzzy Mathematics.Methods261 cases of 2 type diabetes were divided into three groups by syndrome differentiation,as follows:type of heat with yin deficiency,type of deficiency of both qi and yin,and type of deficiency of both yin and yang,and received corresponding therapies.The course of treatment was 24 weeks,in the first 12 weeks (period 1),on the basis of western medicine treatment,patients of the three groups were respectively treated by qingrungranules,ziyigranule and shuangtiaogranules.In the next 12 weeks (period 2),all patients were only treated by western medicine.The value of FBG,P2BG,HbAlc,TC,TG,BMI of the two periods were comprehensively evaluated by the methods of fuzzy mathematics.ResultsAt the end of period 1,the total effective rate of the type of heat with yin deficiency was 91.38％,the type of deficiency of both qi and yin was 87.16％,and the type of deficiency of both yin and yang was 83.34％; while at the end of period 2,the total effective rate of the three types was 59.18％,48.65％a nd32.65％ respectively.ConclusionThe effective rate was obviously improved in period 1; while in period 2,the effective rate was decreased.

Objective To improve the recognition of sarcoidosis in elderly patients.Methods Clinical data of 13 elderly patients with sarcoidosis were retrospectively analyzed.Results There were three cases without symptom and five cases with intra-pulmonary and extra-pulmonary manifestations respectively.Eight cases had atypical radiological appearances and five cases showed inflammatory changes through bronchofibercopy.There were three cases with increased percentage of lymphocytes and high ratio of CD4/CD8 in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) respectively.Seven cases were diagnosed through biopsy.And the symptoms of all thirteen patients diminished after treatmeit.Conclusions The clinical symptom and radiologieal manifestation of sarcoidosis in elderly patients are varied and usually atypical.The diagnosis should be based on comprehensive analysis including clinical manifestation and examination.The elderly patients with indication of treatment can be given corticosteroid therapy with close clinical monitoring.

Slow coronary flow phenomenon(SCFP) is an angiographic observation characterized by delayed distal vessel opacification in the absence of significant epicardial coronary disease. Only limited studies have been focused on the etiologies, clinical manifestations and treatment of this unique angiographic phenomenon. In our case report, we described an 85-year-old man who came with significant ST segment elevation in leads V1-V4 and V3R-V5R without increase in myocardial enzyme. The patient also developed respiratory failure requiring intubation and mechanical ventilation. Coronary angiography revealed only mild atherosclerosis without spasm or thromboembolic occlusion. Slow flow was seen in all coronary arteries, especially in the left anterior descending and right coronary arteries. This case speculated that transmural myocardial ischemia with ST segment elevation might be resulted from slow coronary flow. Transmural myocardial ischemia can occur owing to abnormalities of the coronary microcirculation.

TFL1 homologs play important roles in maintaining vegetative growth and inflorescence meristem identity. The plants without the function of this gene usually are flowering earlier. Their normal inflorescence development is inhibited, the inflorescence meristem eventually acquired floral identity, which producing a terminal flower. Up to now, the TFL1 homologs have been isolated from 28 species of plants, including Arabidopsis, Snapdrogen and Tomato. The phylogenic tree of TFL1 proteins is almost accordance with the relative of those plants. The inflorescence identity gene TFL1 interacted with floral meristem identity genes LFY and AP1, so as to retard the transformation from inflorescence identity into floral identity. These meristem identity genes such as TFL1 and LFY can be applied in breeding of earl-flowering cultivars, there also have plenty of potentials in breeding fruit-free plantanus, popular or willows.

Objective To explore the role of hypoxia inducible factor 1α(HIF-1α)-mediated signaling pathway in angiotensin Ⅱ(Ang Ⅱ)induced renal interstitial fibrosis. Methods Renal tubular epithelial cells were cultured and treated with different concentrations (10-9-10-6 mol/L)of Ang Ⅱ for 24 h and 48 h.Real-time quantitative PCR and Western blotting were preformed to detect the mRNA and protein expressions of HIF-1α,prolyl hydroxylase 2 (PHD2)and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase 1 (TIMP-1)in renal tubular epithelial cells. Results HIF-1αmRNA level was increased with Ang Ⅱ treatment in a concentration dependent manner.When cells were treated with Ang Ⅱ concentration at 10-7mol/L for 24 h,the mRNA level was markedly increased by 166%.Furthermore,by real-time quantitative PCR and Western blotting,compared with the control group,Ang Ⅱincreased the mRNA and protein levels of HIF-1α and TIMP-1 (P<0.05,respectively),while the mRNA and protein levels of PHD2 were decreased markedly (P<0.05,respectively)in renal tubular epithelial cells.Conclusion Ang Ⅱ reduces HIF-1αdegradation in renal tubular epithelial cells probably by reducing the expression of PHD2,which increases the expressions of HIF-1α and TIMP-1 involved in renal interstitial fibrosis.

Objective To investigate the clinical features of the patients with dermatomyositis (DM)complicated with interstitial lung disease(ILD).Methods The clinical manifestations and the laboratory data of the 20 patients with DM complicated with ILD were retrospectively analyzed.Results Among 169 DM patients,20(11.8％)were founded with ILD and 4 had no complaint of respiratory system.The ratio of male to female was 1∶2.33.The level of serum creatine kinase(CK)was elevated in 11 cases.Anti-Jo-1 antibody was positive in 4 cases.Bilateral infiltrates including ground-glass attenuation,interlobular septal thickening and reticular opacities were found by chest high resolution computed tomography.The impairment of lung function was manifested as the decreased diffusion capacity for carbon monoxide of the lung(DLCO)and restricted ventilatory function abnormalities.Fifteen cases showed hypoxemia or respiratory failure by arterial blood gas analysis.All patients were treated with glucocorticoid and/or immunosuppressive agents.Totally,14 patients had improved,while 2 patients with no improvement and 4 patients died with a mortality of 20％.Conclusions DM complicated with ILD which is easily missed has a high morbidity and mortality.The understanding of DM complicated with ILD should be enhanced,thus early diagnosis and intervention could be performed for better prognosis.

OBJECTIVE: To study the antibacterial activity of meropenem in vitro and the pharmacokinetics of which in patients with burn injury. METHODS: The minimal inhibition concentration (MIC) of meropenem against 136 clinical isolates was determined with double agar dilution method. 28 patients with burn injury were given 0.5g of meropenem by iv gtt, with the blood concentration of meropenem and the recovery of meropenem in urine were determined at different time. The pharmacokinetics parameters were computed with 3p97 software. RESULTS: Meropenem showed a strong antibacterial activity against K.peneumoniae, pneumonococcus and Enterobacter cloacae. MIC90 was below 0.0 075～0.25?g/ml. Pharmacokinetics parameters of meropenem were the following: t1/2? was (0.35?0.12) h,t1/2? was (2.10?0.71) h,AUC was (44.62?12.95) ?g/ml,Vc was (10.60?3.93) L; CLs was (12.00?3.04) L/h. 6.5 hours later, the mean blood concentration was (1.01?0.53)?g/ml; and the recovery of meropenem in 0h～12h urine was (58.06?16.83) %. CONCLUSIONS: Meropenem showed a very strong antibacterial activity in this study,there were significant differences regarding the in vivo pharmacokinetics parameters between the healthy volunteers and the patients with burn injury.

OBJECTIVE:To determine the content of ceftazidime in renal dialysate effluent in burn patients.METHODS:HPLC was used.The sample was separated on Bondapak-C18 analysis column with a mobile phase of mixture of methanol-ammonium acetate(17∶83,V/V).The flow rate was 1.0ml/min.The UV detector wavelength was set at 254nm.RESULTS:A linearity was obtained from 0.5～100?g/ml with a good correlation(r=0.9 999).The RSDs of inter-day and intra-day precision were not more than 3.The average recovery was 100.30%.CONCLUSION:The method is simple,rapid and accurate.
