Tianjin Medical Journal 2016;44(6):769-771
Objective To analyse effects of the serum levels of thyroid peroxidase antibodies (TPOAb) on antithyroid drugs (ATD) treatment in patients with incipient Graves disease (GD). Methods A total of 121 patients with incipient GD, who were used anti thyroid drugs for 12 months, were included in this study. Patients were dvided into two groups:TPOAb negative group (TPOAb≤35 IU/mL, n=49) and TPOAb positive group (TPOAb>35 IU/mL, n=72). According to the degree of TPOAb drops the TPOAb positive group was sub-divided into low level positive group (35 IU/mL

METHODS:
The validation was conducted in sensitivity, mixed samples, species specificity, adaptability, survivability, consistency, peak height balance and stability. The amplification and detection of the genomic DNA from 373 unrelated individuals from Beijing Han nationality were extracted by automation workstation.
RESULTS:
Global-Filer® PCR Amplification Kit was adaptive to some mixed, degraded and inhibited samples. The power of sensitivity and adaptability and peak height balance showed well. The distributions of genotype frequencies for 21 STR loci in the population were all in accordance with Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium (P > 0.05). The PIC value of the 21 STR loci was among 0.536 to 0.940; the H value was among 0.558 to 0.933; the DP value was among 0.783 to 0.992; the PE value was among 0.243 to 0.874.
CONCLUSION
GlobalFiler® PCR Amplification Kit is suitable for criminal cases and DNA database in forensic practice. And 21 STR loci in Beijing Han nationality have high polymorphism, which have application value in forensic practice and population genetics.

Journal of Preventive Medicine 2021;33(5):442-445
Objective:
To monitor the content of bisphenol S ( BPS ) in vegetables and fruits in Henan Province and evaluate the dietary exposure risk of the population, so as to provide the basis for formulating relevant food safety standards.
Methods:
From 2018 to 2019, 276 samples of vegetables and fruits produced and sold in Henan Province were collected. BPS was determined by isotope dilution ultra performance liquid chromatography triple quadrupole tandem mass spectrometry ( UPLC-MS/MS ) , and the dietary exposure was calculated according to the dietary structure and average body weight of local residents. The risk index of BPS was calculated according to the daily tolerable intake ( TDI ) of bisphenol A ( BPA ).
Results:
The BPS contents in vegetables and fruits were 0.006-12.600 µg/kg and 0.006-9.380 µg/kg, the medians were 0.053 µg/kg and 0.023 µg/kg, the detection rates were 78.43% and 62.60%, respectively. The detection rate and content of BPS in vegetables were higher than those in fruits ( P<0.05 ). The maximum exposure of BPS from vegetables and fruits was 5.37×10-2 µg/ ( kgbw·d ), and the exposure risk index was 1.07 × 10-3, which was acceptable.
Conclusions
BPS was detected from vegetables and fruits in Henan Province. The detection rate and content of BPS in vegetables were higher than those in fruits. The health risk of BPS exposed by vegetables and fruits is small.

Chinese Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery 2021;37(4):208-211
Objective:To summarize the results and methods of surgical treatment for type A aortic dissection with small true lumen of the descending aorta.Methods:9 patients underwent surgical treatment for type A aortic dissection with small true lumen of the descending aorta between January 2017 and December 2019 were analyzed retrospectively. There were 7 males and 2 females, mean age of (41.6±9.2) years. Acute dissection were 2 cases, and chronic dissection were 7 cases. Preoerative computed tomography was used to diagnose the dissection and evaluate the true lumen of the descending aorta. This procedure was done in all patients via a median sternotomy under hypothermic CPB with SCP. 4-branched prosthetic graft was used to replace the ascending aorta and aortic arch. The procedures involving the descending aorta: Hybrid surgery using TEVAR. Distal intimal flap fenestration. Implanting the intraoperative stent-graft or prosthetic graft at false lumen for second-step operation. Results:There was no in-hospital mortality. Stroke, Spinal cord, visceral ischemia and lower limbs malfunction were not observed. Reintervention was not found in case with acute dissection during follow-up. One patient who reveived fenestration underwent TEVAR, others with chronic dissection underwent thoracoabdominal aortic replacement 3 months after surgery. Conclusion:Hybrid or staged procedures was a suitable alternative to patients with type A aortic dissection with small true lumen of the descending aorta.

Neurology Asia 2017;22(3):221-225
Background & Objective: The calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) has a central role in the
pathogenesis of migraine, but variations in CGRP-related genes, including the calcitonin gene-related
polypeptide-alpha (CALCA) gene and the receptor activity modifying 1 (RAMP1) gene, have not been
found to link with migraine in Australian population. The goals of this study were to determine whether
variants in the two genes are related to migraine in Chinese population. Methods: Using a case-control
approach, rs3781719 and rs145837941 in the CALCA gene and rs3754701 and rs7590387 at the RAMP1
locus was analyzed in a cohort of 504 migraine cases and 529 ethnically matched controls. Genotyping
was performed using Sequenom MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry iPLEX platform. Results: The CALCA
gene rs145837941 variant was not found in migraine or control group. No significant difference in
genotypic and allelic distribution was observed in the other three polymorphisms between migraine
cases and controls. All the three SNPs were also not selected as significant factors that independently
contributed to susceptibility to migraine in multivariate analysis. In the subgroup analysis, the CALCA
rs3781719 seemed to be a significant risk for migraine with aura, but was not statistically significant
after FDR correction. Moreover, there was no synergistic relationship between the three SNPs in the
multifactor dimensionality reduction analysis for explore locus–locus interactions.
Conclusion: Our data suggested that variants in CALCA gene and RAMP1 gene were not associated
with migraine in the Han-Chinese population.

0.05),but the expression in controls were negative. The expression levels of PRAME gene at remission was decreased obviously, but increased again when the patients relapsed. Conclusions Expression of PRAME gene has a high level in childhood acute leukemia. The dynamic changes are closely related with the prognosis. It can be regarded as a candidate for detecting minimal residual disease in acute leukemia, and may have important implications for estimating the prognosis and guiding the chemical therapy.

Objective To evaluate the gender differences in dose-response curve with cisatra-curium in epileptics. Methods Eighty ASA grade Ⅰ or Ⅱ epileptics were enrolled in this study. All patients were divided into male and the female groups and received the method of single dose injection under midazolam-fentanyl intravenous anesthesia. Each patient received intravenous bolus of 20,30, 40,50μg/kg of cisatracurium respectively. The neuromuscular block was measured by Neuromuscular Transmission Monitor and the responses were defined in terms of the percentages of maximum sup-pression in T1 of TOF of the adductor pollicis muscle.According to log-probit transformation of the data of dose and response, the dose-response curve of cisatracurium was established through linear re-gression.The onset time of cisatracurium was also observed. Results The ED50 ,ED75 ,ED90 ,ED95 values of cisatracurium in male epilepsy patients were 37.2±9.7,48.1±11.3,60.4±12.8,69.3± 14.0 μg/kg and that of female epilepsy patients were 36.6±4.3,47.5±7.7,60.5±14.0,70.1± 19.4 μg/kg.There was no significant difference between the two gender groups. No significant change in onset time was observed among 4 dose groups. Conclusion No gender differences are ob-served in dose-response curve of cisatracurium in epileptics.
