China Journal of Orthopaedics and Traumatology 2015;28(5):426-428
OBJECTIVETo investigate application of the bone flap pedicled on the retrograde branch of radial artery for treatment of old scaphoid bone fractures of type AO-B.
METHODSFrom October 2007 to October 2011,41 patients with old scaphoid bone fractures of type AO-B were treated by transplantation of the bone flap pedicled on the retrograde branch of radial artery including 26 males and 15 females with an average of (27.3±4.5) years old ranging from 16 to 43 years old. The courses before operation ranged from 6 to 22 months with an average of 11 months. All fractures belonged to the type B of AO classification, that is old wrist fracture of scaphoid bone. All patients' wrist function (pain, function, motion, grip strength) were evaluated by Cooney's modifiedwrist scoring system before and 6 months after operation, and the conditions of bone healing were observed during the follow-up time.
RESULTSAmong them, 36 patients were followed up from 4 to 15 months with an average of 8.3 months. The wounds were healed well without other complications as infection appearing. X-rays or CT confirmed that all fractures were healed completely. The Cooney wrist score was improved from preoperative 53.61±13.97 to postoperative 81.81±8.71 (P<0.01).
CONCLUSIONThe operation of transplantation of the bone flap pedicled on the retrograde branch of radial artery is an effective method to treat old scaphoid bone fractures, which is scientific and has curative effects, and valuable for clinical application.

5.Clinical curative effect comparison of partial tubeless and traditional percutaneous nephrolithotomy for the treatment of upper urinary calculus
Journal of Regional Anatomy and Operative Surgery 2014;(5):460-462
Objective To compare the clinical curative effect of partial tubeless and traditional percutaneous nephrolithotomy ( PCNL) in treatment of upper urinary calculus and to evaluate the clinical feasibility and value. Methods 206 patients with upper urinary calculus were enrolled in a randomized clinical trial from May 2013 to May 2014 according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. These patients were randomized into the observation group (tubeless PCNL group) and the control group (traditional PCNL group). The operation time, stone clearance rate, visual analogue scale (VAS) pain score, usage of analgesic drugs, hemoglobin decrease, blood transfusion, bleeding, fever, leakage of urine, postoperative hospital stay, hospitalization expenses and the time of patients return to normal life were compared. Results All the operations were successfully finished. There were no statistically significant difference in operation time, stone clearance rate,hemoglo-bin decrease, bleeding, blood transfusion and fever (P>0. 05),but the visual analogue scale (VAS) pain score, usage of analgesic drugs, leakage of urine, postoperative hospital stay, hospitalization expenses and the time of patients return to normal life of the observation group were evidently lower than those of the control group (P<0. 05). Conclusion As partial tubeless PCNL have a great advantage on ease post-operative pain, shorten postoperative hospital stay, reduce hospitalization expenses and accelerate patients return to normal life,it is safe and effective for the treatment of upper urinary calculus, and it should be popularized and applied.
6.Evaluating Methods for Cerebrovascular Autoregulation and the Clinical Applications (review)
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2007;13(8):721-723
Methods to assess cerebrovascular autoregulation are variable, including blood pressure-autoregulation and cerebrovascular motor reactivity. Evaluation of cerebrovascular autoregulation may be used to assess cerebral circulation reserve. It may predict the risk of ischemic cerebral vascular event, and may contribute to clinical therapy.
7.Advances in chemical constituents and bioactivity of Salvia genus.
China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(11):2096-2105
The genus Salvia in the family Lamiaceae with nearly 1 000 species, is widespread in temperate and tropical regions around the world. Many species of genus Salvia are important medicinal plants with a long history of which Danshen (the dried roots and rhizomes of S. miltiorrhiza) is one of the most popular herbal traditional medicines in Asian countries. The chemical constituents from Salvia plants mainly contain sesquiterpenoids, diterpenoids, triterpenoids, steroids and polyphenols etc, which exhibit antibacterial, antidermatophytic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antineoplastic, antiplatelet aggregation activities and so on. In this article, the development of new constituents and their biological activities of Salvia genus in the past five years were reviewed and summarized for its further development and utilization.
