4.Effects of nanoparticles to bone cells and potential applications in orthopedics
International Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2013;36(4):235-238
Biomaterials are commonly applied in regenerative therapy and tissue engineering in bone.Generally, nanoparticles interact distinctively with bone cells and tissue, depending on their com-position,size,and shape. Therefore, detailed analyses of nanoparticle effects on cellular functions have been performed to select the most suitable candidates for supporting bone regeneration. This review will highlight potential nanoparticle applications in bone.We found that mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) display exceptional regenerative potential. The delivery of genetic material with nanoparticulate carriers offers the possibility of overcoming certain disadvantages of standard protein delivery approaches. Moreover, nanoparticles are already clinically applied in cancer treatment. Thus, corresponding efforts could lead to new therapeutic strategies to improve bone regeneration or to treat bone disorders.
5.Case reports of two children with neurofibromatosis type 1
China Tropical Medicine 2023;23(6):672-
Abstract: Objective To report the clinical characteristics and genetic test results of two children with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1), and to provide reference for the comprehensive diagnosis-treatment and follow-up plans of NF1 patients based on the existing diagnosis and treatment progress of NF1. Methods Two children with NF1 admitted to the Department of Children's Medicine, Haikou people's Hospital in May and June 2022 were selected to analyze the clinical data of their clinical manifestations, laboratory examination, genetic test results, diagnosis and treatment and follow-up retrospectively. Results Two children had typical clinical manifestations, such as café-au-lait spots, axillary freckles, intraocular iris hamartoma. Venous blood was collected from case 1 and his parents for NF gene test, and a new mutation of c.4084C>T in the NF1 gene was found, and their parents did not have the pathogenic gene; the venous blood of the children in case 2 was tested for whole-exome gene analysis, and a heterozygous nonsense variant c.910C>T:p.R304 on the NF1 gene was found, , which was verified by Sanger sequencing to be inherited from his mother, his mother has café-au-lait spots and brain glioma, and has undergone surgery to remove the brain glioma, but has not undergone chemoradiotherapy or targeted therapy. No neurological malignancies were detected in either of the two children at follow-up until July 2022. Conclusions The clinical manifestations of NF1 are relatively typical, genetic testing is conducive to determine its classification, and regular follow-up review can help to detect and treat malignant tumors early, thus improving the patient's quality of life.

International Eye Science 2005;5(6):1110-1113
AIM: Using functional magnetic resonance imaging, to inspect v sual cortex physical reactions stimulated by rotating grating, and to its components. METHODS: On 1.5T MR scanner, GRE-EPI imaging sequence was carried on 9 h discover ealthy volunteers, the visual cortex response data were processed after delinearation by SPM99.RESULTS: Different components of rotating grating excited different areas of the visual cortex. Dramatic response in the central part of the occipital lobe, which was related to white light stimuli, located at primary visual cortex. Response area in bilateral Broadaman 19 areas was related to vision-motion function. And weak response area in the central part of the occipital lobe was related to shape perception.CONCLUSION: Rotating grating conclude plenty of visual information, and it excites different areas of the optic center as a stimuli. fMRI is a valuable equipment to study the physiology of visual cortex.
7.Detection of anti-dsDNA antibody in SLE patients by enzyme marking staphylococcal protein A (SPA)
Chinese Journal of Immunology 1985;0(01):-
The results of the detection of fhe antibody against dsDNA in 244 sera by immunohisto—chemical method of enzyme marking SPA were reported and compared with immunoflurescence assay and enzyme marking antibody method. Positive rate in 31 cases with SLE was 71%. Of the 31 cases 21 with SLE in theactive phase were all positive,1 out of 10 cases at the recovery stage was positive,2 outof 152 cases with other connective tissue and non connective tissue disease were weaklypositive,61 normal persons were all negative. The overall agreement was the same asthe immunofluorescence and enzyme marking antibody method.Enzyme marking SPAmethod offers a number of significant advantageous. This method was easily operated, did not need to prepare second antibody, and special equipment was not needed. It can beused clinically.

China Oncology 1998;0(01):-
Purpose:To evaluate the clinical value of palliative resection in advanced gastric cancer. Methods:Retrospective analysis the results in 35 patients with stage Ⅳ gastric cancer from 1990 to 1997. There were 18 cases in resection group and 17 cases in no resection group. Results:The survival rate and the postoperative life quality of the patients with advanced gastric cancer in resection group were higher than that of no resection group ( P =0 0278 and P

Chongqing Medicine 2014;(24):3160-3162
Objective To explore the relationship between serum Cystatin C (CysC) ,hypersensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) level and the carotid intima-media thickness(IMT) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM) .Methods 85 patients with T2DM were divided into two groups according to IM T level :Normal IM T group and IM T increased group .40 healthy people were chosen as control .The level of CysC and hs-CRP were measured and IMT of the carotid artery was determined by color Doppler ul-trasonography in 85 diabetics and 40 normal subjects .Results The CysC levels in IMT increased group was higher than normal IMT group and control group(P<0 .05) .The hs-CRP level in IMT increased group was higher than that in the normal IMT group and control group(P<0 .01) .The analysis of correlation indicated that the level of hs-CRP had positive correlation with IMT .And there was no association between serum CysC level and carotid IMT (r=0 .104 ,P>0 .05) .Conclusion There is no definite correla-tion between serum CysC level and carotid IMT in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus .Serum CysC level is not predictive index in carotid intima-media thickness of T2DM .Inflammatory play an important role in early carotid atherosclerosis in patients with T2DM .

Journal of Clinical Surgery 2002;0(S1):-
Objective To inquire into the value of Liechtenstein Hernioplasty in the therapy of oblique or direct hernia.Method Liechtenstein was used in the therapy of 163 cases of oblique hernia (154 cases) and direct hernia (9 cases) from Feb.1998 to Jun.2001 and the clinical data was retrospectively studied. Most of them are of onset hernia except 8 cases of recurrent hernia. In 148 cases, the diameter of hernia ring is less than 2.5 cm and 30.1% of patients are elder than 65.The emergent operation was adopted in 12 cases. Results Off-bed exercises can be admitted at early stage of postoperation with slight pain and no local tension.Total recovery was obtained in 5-10 days after operation. After 6-36 months' follow-up,no mortality and less recurrence was detected. Conclusions There are so many advantages to treat oblique or direct hernia with Liechtenstein, such as minimized trauma, accelerated recovery, low recurrence rate and low cost. The indication of this operation involved all kinds of hernia (onset or recurrence of oblique or direct hernia, emergent operation of incarcerated oblique hernia, etc).
