China Pharmacy 1991;0(04):-
OBJECTIVE:To study the protection of XNSK on renal ischemical reperfusion injury model rats.METHODS:A total of60rats were randomized into sham operation group(without occlusion of renal arteries of both kidneys and admin?istered with0.1%dimethyl sulfoxide normal saline),control group(0.1%dimethyl sulfoxide normal saline),positive control group(administered with Shenfukang capsules)and XNSK(high, medium and low dose subgroups)group.Levels of serum creatinine(Scr),urea nitrogen(BUN)and malonaldehyde(MDA)in renal tissue, hemocuprein(SOD),active oxygen(ROS)and nitrogen monoxidum(NO)were determined respectively meanwhile the pathomorphology changes of tissues were observed.RESULTS:As compared with the control group, levels of Scr,BUN,MDA,ROS and NO in all the3(high,medium and low doses)XNSK subgroups(which were administered with drugs for7days before operation and undergone reperfusion once after operation)had a reduction while SOD level had an increase. And there was a mitigated pathomorphology change in nephridial tissues(P

Objective To describe the work of quality control for lipids measurement in CNHS 2002.Methods The quality control was applied over the whole project including staff training, making standard operating procedure(blood collection, separation, temporary storage, transportation, final storage),lab materials assignment, internal quality control in central lab and participating US Disease Control Center's Lipids Standard Program(LSP)as external quality control. Results Seven times of national training programs were held and 326 technicians from CDCs in 31 provinces, autonomous regions, municiplalities and 132 surveyed counties received related trainings.During the program,321 persons passed examination (98.5%)and among them 205 got the A score(62.9%);The field work was implemented strictly according to the procedure. Three automatic biochemical instruments were used in the measurement and there is no significant difference between means of serum TC,TG and HDL-C from several batches of quality control serum.Parallel measurements were conducted in five percent randomly selected samples, the ratio of bias less than 3% was 99.05%,96.40% and 98.30% for TC,TG and HLD-C, respectively.Compared with means of LSP control sera, the results showed that all bias was less than 5% except one bias of TG result(7.02%)in one batch of LSP controls. Conclusion The work of quality control in this survey guaranteed the accuracy of plasma lipids measurement, and provided the basic data for the epidemiological description of dyslipidemia status among Chinese and the further analysis.

6. Preparation of HBc virus-like particle vaccine harboring sequences of gastric inhibitory peptide and its immune effects
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2010;30(11):1230-1235
Objective: To design and prepare HBc virus-like particle vaccine (VLP) harboring the specified epitope of gastric inhibitory peptide (GIP), and to study its immune effects, so as to cast new lights on immune therapy of obesity. Methods: GIP cDNA was cloned and was fused with HBc VLP (1-144aa) cDNA. Through prokaryotic expression and purification processes, a GIP vaccine linked to the HBc-derived VLP carrier was constructed. We also cloned the fusion gene into eukaryotic vector pVAX1 to prepare GIP nuclear acid vaccine. And the two kinds of vaccines were tested in rats for their immunological parameters. Results: GIP vaccine linked to HBc-derived VLP carrier was successfully prepared. We also prepared the genetic vaccine pVAX1-HBc-GIP. The combined vaccination with both vaccines could obtain high titer and peptide-specific IgG antibody, displaying a satisfactory immunogenicity. Conclusion: GIP protein vaccine using HBc as immune-enhancing vaccine carrier can effectively induce GIP-specific humoral immunity, disrupting the tolerance to self antigens in rats. The vaccine is worth studying as a new drug for control of obesity.
8.Advances in chemical constituents and bioactivity of Salvia genus.
China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(11):2096-2105
The genus Salvia in the family Lamiaceae with nearly 1 000 species, is widespread in temperate and tropical regions around the world. Many species of genus Salvia are important medicinal plants with a long history of which Danshen (the dried roots and rhizomes of S. miltiorrhiza) is one of the most popular herbal traditional medicines in Asian countries. The chemical constituents from Salvia plants mainly contain sesquiterpenoids, diterpenoids, triterpenoids, steroids and polyphenols etc, which exhibit antibacterial, antidermatophytic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antineoplastic, antiplatelet aggregation activities and so on. In this article, the development of new constituents and their biological activities of Salvia genus in the past five years were reviewed and summarized for its further development and utilization.

9. Effects of preventive high thoracic epidural block for different periods on cerebral vasospasm in rabbits
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2010;29(10):1197-1200
Objective: To investigate the effects of preventive high thoracic epidural block (PHTEB) for different periods on cerebral vasospasm (CVS) following subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) in rabbits. Methods: T6-7 epidural space was opened and an epidural pipe was introduced to establish PHTEB model. Ropivacaine(1 g • L-1) was injected continuously through the pipe at 1 ml/h to block T1-5 sympathetic nerves. Sixty HTEB rabbits were assigned to 6 groups (n = 10 each): the normal 1 day group (N1), the normal 7 day group(N7), SAH 1 day group (S1), SAH 7 day group (S7), PHTEB plus SAH 1 day group (HS1), and PHTEB plus SAH 7 day group (HS7). CVS was developed by injecting non-anticoagulant autologous arterial blood (0.5 ml/kg) into the cisterna magna. Transcranial Doppler (TCD) ultrasonography was used to determine Vm of the basilar artery. The lesion and spasm of the basilar artery were observed under optical microscope. Results: Compared with group N1, Vm was significantly increased in group S1 (P<0.01) and increased in group HS1 (P<0.05). Compared with group N7, Vm was significantly increased in group S7 (P<0.05) and similar to that in group HS7 (P>0.05). Vm in group S1 was significantly increased compared with group S7 (P<0.05); and that in group HS1 was significantly increased compared with group HS7 (P<0.05). Pathological observation showed no obvious changes in group N1 and N7. The vessel wall was shrunk and the lumina became narrow in group S1 and S7. The pathologic changes in group HS1 and HS7 were slighter than those in group S1 and S7;and Group HS7 was slighter than group HS1. Conclusion: PHTEB can relieve CVS in SAH rabbits, and the relieving effect increases with time of PHTEB.

Chinese Journal of Virology 2014;30(1):13-18
Hepatitis B is a serious infectious disease worldwide, and hepatitis B virus (HBV) is the direct cause of this disease. In recent years, as an essential part of its evolutionary process, HBV mutation has been extensively studied domestically and globally. However, the study on the conserved sequences in HBV sequences is still in its infancy. In this study, we applied multiple EM for motif elicitation (MEME) algorithm to discover HBV motif and proposed a new metric, conservative index (CI), to carry out phylogenetic analysis based on HBV sequences. Then, the constructed phylogenetic tree was subjected to reliability assessment. The results demonstrated that the new metric CI combined with the MEME algorithm can effectively help to discover motifs in HBV sequences and construct a phylogenetic tree based on them and to analyze the evolutionary relationship between HBV sequences; in addition, the possible ancestral sequences of samples may be obtained by conservative analysis. The proposed method is valuable for the exploratory study on large HBV sequence data sets.
