Objective To investigate the relationship between the sigmoid colon propagating contractions and the gut hormones cholecystokinin(CCK)and motilin(MTL)in the patients with irritable bowel syndrome(IBS),and to reveal the gut hormones' modulation to the sigmoid colon motility. Methods Twenty diarrea-predominent IBS patients(D-IBS),and sex/age matched 20 constipation-predominent IBS patients(C-IBS)and 15 healthy volunteers were enrolled in the study. From June 2005 to Mar.2006,the high amplitude propagating waves and loger time of the sigmoid colon was measured by means of a liquid-perfused capillary tube connected to a computer.Meanwhile, the concentrations of CCK,MTL of blood plasma and sigmoid colon mucosa were tested by means of immunoassay technology. Results The D-IBS group had higher amplitude of the sigmoid colon propagating waves and their time percentage than that of the C-IBS group and the control group(P

Objective To discuss how to preven wrong absorption of pancreatic pseudocyst using guided transmural drainage under endoscopic ultrasonography. Methods Retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of patients with pancreatic pseudocysts underwent operations of Endoscopic ultrasonography guided transmural drainage. Results 16 cases of pancreatic pseudocysts were finished with guided transmural drainage under endoscopic ultrasonography using needling to place bypass grafting with successful rate 100.0% of guided transmural drainage by needling. After needling, 2 cased happened regurgitation which led to wrongly absorbed, rate of occurrence is 12.5%. Generally, pancreatic pseudocysts of 16 cases disappeared completely with cure rate 100.0%. From above, stents were pulled out by endoscope in 3 cases while stents were removed voluntarily in another 13 cases. Conclusion Dorsal elevated position, detailed operation and esophageal annular tubes can effectively prevent wrong absorption of guided transmural drainage under endoscopic ultrasonography of pancreatic pseudocysts.

Objective To explore the value of T-SPOT.TB test in diagnosis of tuberculous pleurisy by comparing the T-SPOT.TB test, adenosine deaminase (ADA) of hydrothorax and tuberculosis antibody (TB-Ab). Methods 62 pleural effusion patients are included in the research , of which 32 cases have tuberculosis and 30 cases have no tuberculosis. All patients underwent T-SPOT.TB, pleural effusion ADA, and TB-Ab test. The results were compared with final clinical diagnosis for sensitivity and specificity evaluation. Results The sensitivity of T-SPOT.TB, ADA, TB-Ab were 90.6%, 71.9% and 62.5% respectively. The specificity of T-SPOT. TB, ADA, TB-Ab were 90.0%, 83.3% and 86.7% respectively. The sensitivity of T-SPOT.TB was the highest one among the three methods. The sensitivity of T-SPOT.TB has statistically significant difference compared with TB-Ab (P < 0.05), but no statistically significant difference compared with ADA (P > 0.05). Conclusions The T-SPOT.TB test had higher sensitivity and specificity for the diagnosis of tuberculous pleurisy , and had important reference value in early diagnosis of patients with tuberculous pleurisy. The T-SPOT.TB and TB-Ab combination examination had a complementary effect.

ObjectiveTo evaluate the application of a whole blood interferon-γ (IFN-γ) release assay QuantiFERON-TB Gold In Tube (QFT-GIT) in the diagnosis of tuberculous pleural effusion. Methods IFN-γ released by specific T cells stimulated by early secreted antigenic target 6 × 103protein (ESAT-6),culture filtrate protein 10 (CFP -10) and TB7.7 were measured by QFT-GIT test in 44 tuberculous pleural effusion patients and 16 non-tuberculous pleurisy controls. The IFN-γ release level between groups was compared by Mann-Whitmey test.ResultsThe positive rates of QFT-GIT in patients with tuberculous pleural effusion and non tuberculous pleurisy were 95.5% and 12.5%,respectively.The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of QFT-GIT were 95.6%,87.5%,95.6% and 87.5%,respectively.The antigen-specific IFN-γ release level in the patients with tuberculous pleural effusion was significantly higher than that in non-tuberculous pleurisy controls (P<0.01).Conclusions The whole blood INF-γ release assay QFT-GIT is a sensitive and specific assay for detecting pleural tuberculosis infection. It could be a useful diagnostic tool for the diagnosis of tuberculous pleural effusion in China.

Discussed the former herbal investigation of Flos Lonicerae by herbal investigation and field survey. Descripted and illustrated the Caprifoliaceae or Flos Lonicerae in known ancient Chinese medical books that varied with current Lonicera japonica. At last, conformational description of Caprifoliaceae or Flos Lonicerae in Sushenliangfang was reported.

Objective To investigate the iodine nutritional and thyroid stimulating hormone level of patients with thyroid nodules in different regions of Qinghai Province and analyze the characteristics of changes in different regions. Methods In 2014-2016,thyroid nodules in 9 regions of Qinghai Province (Tibetan areas:Xiewu,Nangqian,Jiegu,Guoluo;non-Tibetan areas:Xining,Huzhu,Menyuan,Minhe, and Ledu) were selected and serum thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) and urine iodine were measured. Results A total of 553 thyroid nodules, the median urinary iodine (MUIC) was 160.8 μg/L and the median TSH was 2.97 mU/L.The iodine nutritional status was at an appropriate level.Among them,MUIC (206.8 μg/L) in thyroid nodules in the Menyuan area was slightly higher than the appropriate amount, there was a significant difference in MUIC among different region (x2 =47.747,P < 0.05);of TSH in thyroid nudules in the 9 regions, the differences were statistically significant (x2 =34.832,P < 0.05).Non-Tibetan areas were compared with Tibetan areas, there was a significant difference in MUIC (155.6,185.6 μg/L),TSH (2.68,3.45 mU/L,Z =-3.677,-5.410,P < 0.05);Among them, the differences was statistically significant between MUIC (152.8,187.7 μg/L) of women with thyroid nodules (Z =-3.504,P < 0.05);there was a statistically significant difference in TSH levels among men (2.58,3.46 mU/L) and women (2.80,3.44 mU/L) with thyroid nodules (Z =-3.613,-4.040,P < 0.05);there were no significant differences in MUIC levels among thyroid nodules of each age groups (P > 0.05);of the TSH level in 30-and 50-< 65 years groups (2.63,3.17;2.25,3.58 mU/L),the differences were statistically significant (Z =-2.892,-3.233,P < 0.05),and other groups were no significant differences (P > 0.05).Conclusion The iodine nutrition of patients with thyroid nodules in these regions of Qinghai Province is generally at an appropriate level, the MUIC and TSH levels in Tibetan areas were lower than those in non-Tibetan areas, and iodine nutrition status and TSH levels should be monitored for key populations.
