Objective To investigate the role of Glial cells missing 2 (Gcm2) in pathogenesis of hypoparathyroidism by knocking out Gcm2 gene in adult mice. Methods Tamoxifen was used to induce conditional knock-out of Gcm2 gene in Gcm2E2fl/flCre-ER mice.Genotypes of knock-out mice were identified by PCR.The protein expression level of Gcm2 was measured by Western blotting. The serum calcium and phosphorus were detected by the calcium and phosphorus assay kits, and the serum parathyroid hormone (PTH) level was detected by ELISA.Parathyroid cell proliferation was tested by Ki-67 immunohistochemical assay. The mRNA expression levels of PTH and calcium sensing receptor (CaSR) were detected by Real-time PCR.Bone mineral density was detected by micro CT.Results Gcm2 gene of parathyroid was confirmed to be knocked out by PCR.Compared with wild type and solvent control groups, Gcm2 knock-out group showed markedly lower protein expression of Gcm2, notably higher serum phosphorus and lower serum calcium and PTH concentrations (all P<0.01).The proliferation of parathyroid cells in Gcm2 knock-out mice were significantly higher(both P<0.01).The mRNA levels of PTH and CaSR in parathyroid gland of the knock-out group were significantly reduced (all P<0.01).Bone mineral density was significantly higher in Gcm2 knock-out group (all P<0.01).Conclusion Knockout of Gcm2 can lead to hypoparathyroidism in adult mice, indicating that Gcm2 is probably a therapeutic target for hypoparathyroidism.

Objective:To observe the effect of virtual reality (VR) balance training on the balance and ability in the activities of daily living (ADL) of children with cerebral palsy. Methods:Forty children with spastic cerebral palsy were divided at random into an intervention group (21 cases) and a control group (19 cases). All received 30 minutes of daily routine rehabilitation training, including therapeutic exercise, occupational therapy and home rehabilitation training. Everyone also received 20 minutes of balance training 5 days a week for 3 months. That included sitting and standing balance training and training in transferring the center of gravity. Beyond that the intervention group additionally trained on the Biomaster virtual reality training system doing image matching, playing football and skiing. Before the experiment and after 1 and 3 months, both groups′ balance trajectory length, peripheral area, and the unit area the trajectory length were documented and also using the Berg balance scale (BBS). ADL ability was quantified using the modified Barthel index (MBI).Results:①After the 3 months of training there was a significant improvement in the average trajectory length, peripheral area and unit area trajectory length of both groups sitting and standing. The average values of the intervention group were, however, significantly superior to the control group′s averages. ②After the 3 months there were also significant improvements in the groups′ average BBS and MBI scores, again with significantly greater improvement in the intervention group. Conclusion:Virtual reality balance training can significantly improve the balance function and ADL ability of children with cerebral palsy.

Implantable bone-conduction devices are characterized by the fact that the vibration is transmitted through bone conduction. The technology and surgical techniques in the application of implantable bone-conduction devices have developed considerably in recent years, experiencing a transformation from percutaneous to transcutaneous implantation. This article reviewed current developments in the types, surgical indications, and complications, as well as compared between the various bone-conduction devices to provid references for clinical application.

OBJECTIVE: To establish a method for simultaneous determination of nine components in Huoxiang zhengqi oral liquid, and to improve and perfect the quality standard of Huoxiang zhengqi oral liquid. METHODS: The contents of nine components in 10 batches of Huoxiang zhengqi oral liquid were determined by HPLC, such as licorice coumarin, isorlicin, liquiritinapioside, narirutin, liquiritin, saponins, hesperidin, magnolol and honokiol. The determination was performed on Kromasil Eternity XT-5-C18 column with mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile-0.05% phosphoric acid solution (gradient elution) at the flow rate of 1 mL/min. The detection wavelength was set at 220 nm, and column temperature was 25 ℃. The sample size was 10 μL. RESULTS: The linear range of licorice coumarin, isorlicin, liquiritinapioside, narirutin, liquiritin, saponins, hesperidin, magnolol and honokiolin were 0.000 5-0.007 5, 0.000 8-0.025 0, 0.006 1-0.976 0, 0.001 6-0.250 0, 0.007 8-0.025 0, 0.000 4- 0.062 7, 0.008 6-0.276 0, 0.010 0-0.500 0, 0.010 0-0.500 0 mg/mL (r=0.999 2-1.000 0). OBJECTIVE: To evaluate therapeutic efficacy of reteplase versus alteplase in the treatment of acute myocardial infarction in China, and to provide evidence-based reference for clinical treatment. METHODS: Retrieved from Cochrane library, PubMed, Embase, Medline, CJFD, CSJD, Wanfang database by computor, etc., also by manual search, RCTs about therapeutic efficacy (recanalization rate of thrombolysis) of reteplase (trial group) versus alteplase (control group) in the treatment of acute myocardial infarction in China were collected from Jan. 1995 to Sept. 2018. After data extraction and quality evaluation with Cochrane system evaluator manual 5.1.0, Meta-analysis was performed for recanalization rate of thrombolysis by using Rev Man 5.3 software. RESULTS: A total of 23 RCTs were included, involving 1 742 patients. Results of Meta-analysis showed that recanalization rate of thrombolysis in trial group was significantly higher than control group, with statistical significance [OR=0.61,95%CI(0.50,0.73),P<0.001]. Sub-group Meta-analysis was performed according to the successful time of thrombolysis. Results of Meta-analysis showed that recanalization rate of thrombolysis in trial group 1 h [OR=0.38,95%CI(0.25,0.58),P<0.001], 1.5 h [OR=0.44,95%CI(0.25,0.79),P=0.006] and 2 h [OR=0.62,95%CI(0.42,0.92),P=0.02] after thrombolysis were significantly higher than control group, with statistical significance. CONCLUSIONS: The recanalization rate of thrombolysis by reteplase in Chinese patients with acute myocardial infarction in better than by alteplase.
