ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of Tetramethylpyrazine and Buthus martensi on children with cerebral daminfication syndrome.Methods39 cases with cerebral daminfication syndrome were randomly divided into the study group (18 cases, treated with Tetramethylpyrazine and Buthus martensi) and control group (21 cases, treated only with general nerve nutrition therapy). The curative effect of two groups was evaluated.ResultsAfter treatment, in the study group, 11 cases were cured, 4 cases more effective, 1 case efficacy, 2 cases inefficacy; in the control group, the numbers were 6 cases, 9 cases, 3 cases and 3 cases respectively. There was a significant difference between two groups (P<0.05). There was not side effect in all cases.ConclusionTetramethylpyrazine and Buthus martensi is safe and effective to treat children with cerebral daminfication syndrome.

Objective To understand the status of renal function abnormalities and explore its influencing factors in a community-based population with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).Methods Totally 9 413 patients with T2DM who have registered and received management of community public health service in 2014 were recruited in our study. All participants undertook questionnaire survey, physical examination and laboratory test.A simplified MDRD formula was used for estimating Glomerular Filtration Rate (eGFR),and Logistic Regression method was used to analyze the risk factors. Results The average eGFR was 91 ml/min · 1.73 m2 and the attack rate of people with eGFR <60 ml/min 1.73 m2 was 10.56%.The difference of renal function in participants with different age and gender was significant(x2 =6.306,P =0.012;x2 =269.293,P < 0.001).Renal function in male patients and older patients was more worse.Multivariate analysis showed that long duration of diabetes, high levels of low density lipoprotein (LDL),total cholesterol (TC) and triglycerides (TG),uncontrolled blood glucose were independent risk factors for renal dysfunction. Conclusions Patients with T2DM are susceptible to renal function abnormalities.Comprehensively control of blood glucose, blood lipid and blood pressure should be performed to decrease the risk of the disease.

AIM: To establish the drug release method of Compound Salvia Multi-component released Doublelayer Tablet and investigate its in vitro drug release behavior and the influencing factors of the drug release rate.METHODS: The method of evaluating in vitro release rate of double-layer tablet was established with salvianolic acid B and gindenoside Rg_1 as index,The influencing factors of the release of rapid release layer and sustained release layer of double-layer tablet and their in vitro drug release behavior were studied.RESULTS: The rapid release layer showed the quick releasing effect; The drug release curve of sustained release layer accorded with Ritger-Peppas equation; artificial gastric juice had significant effect on the release curve of gindenoside Rg_1 which in double-layer tablets, but had no significant effect on the release curve of salvianolic acid B.CONCLUSION: The evaluation of in vitro release rate of Compound Salvia Multi-component released Double-layer Tablet shows good properties of fast and sustained release and clinic application is achieved.

A total of 9 806 type 2 diabetics managed by the communities were selected by the stratified cluster random sampling. The characteristics, behavior and life style, history of diseases and treatments, and familial history were collected by a standard questionnaire.Their heights and weights were measured.Furthermore, their HbA1C was tested.Logistic regression was used to analyze the association between familial history of diabetes and glycemic control. The results showed that among the diabetics, patients with familial history accounted for 18.99%, and glycemic control rate was 42.72%.Compared with the diabetics without familial history, glycemic control rate in patients with parental history of diabetes and with many relatives decreased by 0.27 fold (OR=1.27, 95%CI 1.01-1.59) and 1.01 fold (OR=2.01, 95%CI 1.25-3.23), suggesting that family history of diabetes could reduce the glycemic control rate.

Objective:To investigate the effects of corticotomy assisted orthodontic treatment for mild skeletal Class Ⅱ malocclusion. Methods:7 adult patients with mild skeletal Class Ⅱ division 1 malocclusion were included and underwent corticotomy assisted ortho-dontic treatments.3D measurements and analysis of CBCT data before and after treatment were conducted. Results:The average dura-tion of upper anterior teeth retraction was 3.2 months. After treatment, obvious retraction of up incisiors with the retraction of maxillary alveolar bone and the upper lip backward and downward movement were observed. Conclusion:Corticotomy assisted orthodontic treat-ment is effective in the treatment of mild skeletal Class Ⅱ malocclusion by the retraction of uper anterior teeth, alveolarar bone and soft-tissue profile improvement.

Acta Academiae Medicinae Sinicae 2008;30(5):603-606
OBJECTIVETo study the characteristics of computed tomography (CT) appearance in pseudomyxoma peritonei.
METHODSCT findings were retrospectively reviewed in 7 patients with surgically and pathologically confirmed pseudomyxoma peritonei.
RESULTSAll patients had large-volume ascites with heterogeneous density, hepatic and splenic scallopings, and peritoneal and omental infiltration on CT. Omental cakes in 3 patients and appendiceal masses in 2 patients were found. Other findings included calcification, septa, mucinous masses, pleural effusion, and ureteral dilation.
CONCLUSIONCT appearance in pseudomyxoma peritonei has certain characteristics, which should be carefully recognized by radiologists during examinations.

Acta Academiae Medicinae Sinicae 2012;34(5):534-538
Magnetic resonance imaging has became the major method for rectal cancer diagnosis. As a novel magnetic resonance functional imaging technique, diffusion-weighted imaging has improved the lesion detection sensitivity and provided more information on changes in body functions. The past two decades have witnessed the increasing application of this technique in clinical practices. This article summarizes the application of diffusion weighted imaging in rectal cancer diagnosis.

Journal of Southern Medical University 2011;31(8):1334-1335
Congenital pulmonary hypoplasia is a rare developmental abnormality of the lung with an incidence rate of around 1/5000 000. As a fatal condition associated with respiratory insufficiency after birth, this disease is rare in adults. We treated a 29-year-old female patient with congenital pulmonary hypoplasia and concurrent of cystic duct calculus in May, 2011 using single-port transumbilical laparoscopic cholecystectomy, which resulted in a good therapeutic effect comparable to that by routine laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
