Objective To evaluate the effect of convalescent training on patients after special prosthesis replacement in treatment of giant cell tumors. Methods 20 patients with giant cell tumors were treated with convalescent trainings postoperatively,including trainings of muscle strength,joint movement, balance, noumenal sense and gait and were emphasized for earlier training of active muscle contraction. Results According to Enneking score system of bone and muscle postoperation, the lowest for extremitas superior postoperation score of 5 patiens was 20,the highest was 28, the average was 26.6. 4 patiens score was higher than 24, the good rate was 80.0 %.15 patiens extremitas inferior score was from 14 to 27, the average was 21.5, the good rate was 86.7 %. Conclusion Earlier staged joint functional rehabilitation exercise after special prosthesis replacement in treatment of giant cell tumors could prevent ankylosis,improve adhering of capsule,ligament and other soft tissue,and recover the joint function to maximum.

Objective To optimize supercritical extraction technique from four medicinal materials, which are the part components in the recipe of Keganliyan Oral Liquor and are extracted traditionally for essential oils. Methods Extraction ratio and menthol extraction quantity were taken as evaluated indexes. Supercritical extraction technique was researched with orthogonal tests, gas chromatography, and SAS statistic. Results Within the test levels, temperature and time showed evident effect on extraction ratio and menthol extraction quantity, while pressure did not show any evident effect on them、 The preferable technique to extraction ratio is temperature at 55 ℃, time for 120 min, and extracted pressure at 27 MPa; and the preferable technique to menthol extraction quantity is temperature at 45 ℃, time for 120 min, and extracted pressure at 22 MPa. Conclusion The optimized supercritical extraction technique for Keganliyan Oral Liquor is feasible.

Aim To investigate the protective effect of noble dendrobium polysaccharides ( NDP ) on lipopo-lysaccharide ( LPS)-induced neuron injuries in newborn rat cerebral cortex glial cells and neuron mixed cul-tures.Methods The primary cultures of newborn rat cortical neurons and glial cells were established and the existence of the neurons , astrocytes and microglia was verified respectively .NDP was given to LPS-induced mixed cultures , the mRNA levels of IL-1β, TNF-αand COX-2 were assayed by real time PCR .Results NDP reduced the glial cell activation and neuron dam-age after it was given to LPS-induced mixed cultures . The mRNA levels of IL-1β, TNF-α, COX-2 were re-duced .Conclusion NDP protects against LPS-in-duced neuron-inflammation in neurons and glial cells cultures.

Background Nowadays,customized ablation is widely used in the excimer laser corneal refractive Burgery.And the Q-value guide LASIK is one of the research hotspots. Objective Present study was to evaluate and compare the effectiveness of Q-value guide LASIK and standardized LASIK for myopia.Methods A systematic literature retrieval from 2003 through 2010 was conducted in the MEDLINE,CNKI,Cochrane Library,EMBASE.The literature examine possible difierences in uncorrected visual acuity(UCVA),Q-value,higher order aberrations(HOAs),and spherical equivalent(SE) between Q-value guide LASIK and standardized LASIK for correcting myopia.Statistical analysis was performed using a Review Manager 5.0 software.The data was extracted,and the methodological quality was evaluated by two reviewers independently.The quality of included literature was scored according to the Jadad Scale. Results A total of 14 studies involving 1617 patients(2956 eyes)was included in the meta-analysis.Of these fourteen studies,six studies were randomized trials and the other eight studies were retrospective cohort studies.According to the Jadad Scale,2 studies scored 3 points,and the other 12 studies scored 1～2 points.The results showed that the Q-value guide LASIK group had a better postoperative effectiveness in uncorrective visual acuity(UCVA)(WMD=0.04.95% CI 0.00 to 0.08,P<0.05).Q-value(SMD=-1.52,95% CI -2.23 to-0.81,P=0.00),total HOAs (SMD=-1.63,95% CI-2.57 to-0.69,P<0.05) and spherical-like aberrations ( SMD =-1.49,95% CI-2.22 to-0. 76,P<0. 00) after surgery. However, the number of eyes achieved UCVA≥20/20 ( OR= 1.16,95% CI 0. 61 to 2. 19,P=0. 65) ,coma-like aberrations (SMD=-1. 02,95% CI-0. 36to 0.11,P=0.29) and SE (WMD=0.10,95% CI-0.11 to 0.31,P=0.34) after surgery were comparable.Conclusion The effectiveness of Q-value guide LASIK is superior to standardized LASIK for treatment of myopia.High-quality clinical randomized-controlled study should be performed to further evaluate the comparable outcome of Q-value guide LASIK with standard LASIK.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect and safety of Jinlong capsule combined with chemotherapy or radio-therapy for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLS) using Meta-analysis. PubMed, Embase, CNKI and Wanfang databases were all searched without language restriction, and searching time was from January 1990 to July 2015. All eligible published studies were included in this study for quality assessment and data extraction. All the data were analyzed using Revman 5.3. A total of ten studies including 736 subjects (370 in Jinlong capsule plus chemoradiotherapy and 366 in chemoradiotherapy only) were finally included in this Meta-analysis. The result of Meta analysis showed that compared with pure chemoradiotherapy group, Jinlong capsule combined with chemoradiotherapy for NSCLC could improve the patients' curative effect (OR = 1.77, 95% CI: 1.29-2.43, P < 0.05), clinical benefit rate (OR = 1.89, 95% CI: 1.22-2.91, P < 0.05), life quality improvement rate (OR = 2. 56, 95% CI: 1.61-4.05, P < 0.05), and decrease leucopenia incidence rate (OR = 0.35, 95% CI: 0. 22-0.56, P < 0.05) and gastrointestinal reaction rate (OR = 0.67, 95% CI: 0.40-1.11, P < 0.05). The pooled results showed that Jinlong capsule combined with chemoradiotherapy for NSCLC could improve the curative effect and life quality, and decrease the adverse reaction of patients.

Objective To investigate the drug resistance of side population cells in human gallbladder cancer cell line GBC-SD and explore its mechanism. Methods Drug sensitivity assays of 5chemotherapeutic agents were performed on side population cells (SP) and non-SP cells of GBC-SD.GBC-SD was cultured and then treated with the chemotherapeutic agent gemcitabine. The frequency of SP by FACS was measured. RT-PCR and Western blotting were used to detect the expression of AB-CG2 in both the SP and the corresponding non-SP subsets. Results After 1 d treatment with 4 chemotherapeutic agents (gemcitabine, cisplatin, 5-fluorouracil and mitoxantrone) in IC50 concentration to GBC-SD cell line, the reproductive ability of SP was higher than that of non-SP (P<0.05). However, statistical significance was not achieved when compared with epirubicin (P>0.05). The percentage of SP in GBC-SD treated with chemotherapeutic agent gemcitabine after 3 weeks was sharply elevated by FACS (8.02% ±0.13% vs 0.62% ±0.08%, P<0.05), and the expression of ABCG2mRNA and protein were increased in SP as compared with non-SP. Conclusion SP from human gallbladder cancer cell line GBC-SD, like stem cell, showed a heighten resistance to drugs. Increased expression of ABCG2 was largely responsible for the multi-drug resistance.

ObjectiveTo explore the tumor igenic property of side population cells (SP) from human gallbladder carcinoma cell line GBC-SD. Methods SP and non-SP cells were isolated from GBC-SD staining with Hoechst33342 dye by fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS). The soft agar clonal assay and xenograft assay were performed to characterize tumorigenic property of side population cells in vitro and in vivo, respectively. The percentage of SP cells was analyzed by FACS in 5 hu man gallbladder carcinoma specimens. ResultsThe percentage of SP cells accounted for approximately 0.87 ％ of GBC-SD cells. The clone-formed rates of SP was more frequent than that of non-SP cells (14.74％ ± 3.53％ vs 5.17％ ± 1.05％), there was statistically significant difference (t =2.75,P＜0. 05). SP cells could generate tumors with as few as 5 × 103 cells (four of seven animals), whereas at least 1 × 105 non-SP cells were needed to form a tumor (one of seven animals). Re-analysis of SPderived tumors by FACS showed that SP cells under in vivo conditions also have the capacity to regenerate the SP and non-SP fractions. Besides, analysis of Hoechst33342 revealed s small fraction of SP cells, ranging from 0. 27％ to 2.3％ in gallbladder carcinoma specimens. ConclusionSP cells from GBC-SD are highly tumorigenic similar as the cancer stem cells.

Objective To evaluate a modified technique for digestive tract reconstruction after pancreaticoduodenectomy(PD).Methods 171 admitted patients were enrolled from January 2012 to January 2014 at our department.According to the preoperative CT scan and intraoperative exploration,pancreaticogastrostomy was performed in cases of soft pancreas texture,while pancreaticojejunostomy was performed in fibrotic pancreas after PD.Bypassed biliary-pancreatic reconstruction were applied on all cases.Results For the digestive tract reconstruction after PD,92 patients underwent pancreaticogastrostomy,79 patients underwent pancreaticojejunostomy.The median time for the surgery was 240.0 minutes (ranging from 186 to 414 min).Operative mortality was zero,and morbidity was 18.1％ (n =31),including hemorrhage (n =4),biliary fistula (n =3),pulmonary infection (n =2),adipose liquefaction and operative incision infection (n =0),delayed gastric emptying (DGE) (n =6),abdominal abscess (n =4).Fout patients developed a pancreatic fistula (type A in 2,type B in 2).Conclusions Modified pancreaticogastrostomy,pancreaticojejunostomy and biliary-pancreatic bypass is safe for digestive tract reconstruction after pancreaticoduodenectomy.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the effects of nitrogen concentration on the camptothecin (CPT) content in Camptotheca acuminata seedlings:

METHODThe seedlings of C. acuminata with 6 pair of leaves were subjected to five nitrogen concentrations treatments by sand culture in a greenhouse. The CPT content in the seedlings was determined by HPLC on the 20th, 35th, 50th, 65th and 80th day respectively.

RESULTThe CPT content in the young leaves of C. acuminata seedlings supplied with different nitrogen concentration was significantly higher than that in other organs (P < 0.01), and it showed a single peak curve with the time course, the highest CPT content was observed on the 50th day after treatment. The CPT content in the young leaves obviously declined with increasing nitrogen concentration, and it reached the highest (6.72%) when nitrogen concentration was 4 mmol x L(-1), equal to 1.1 times that of 16 mmol x L(-1) nitrogen.

CONCLUSIONThe results demonstrate that proper deficient nitrogen stress can significantly enhance CPT accumulation in young leaves of C. acuminata seedlings.
