The languages, types and number of digital resources in 8 domestic medical and pharmaceutical college and university libraries were analyzed , which showed that although certain successes have been achieved in devel-opment of digital resources in these libraries, there are some problems needing to be solved, such as weakness in new digital resources development , insufficient integration of free and open access resources , insufficient organiza-tion and revealing of resources .Suggestions were put forward for the solution of these problems , such as optimizing digital resource structure, developing characteristic digital resources, sufficient organizing and revealing digital re-sources.

Objective To study the change of the oxygen-carried function of stored red blood cells, which was warmed in room temperature and calorstat. Methods Randomly removed from 4 ℃storage refrigerator, red blood cell suspension were put in room temperature 30 min (group N)and 37℃ calorstat 30 min (group H),and samples taken to examine electrolyte, blood gas, free Hb,ATP content,2,3-DPG content, oxygen affinity(P50).Results In two groups, blood pH value and blood Na+ did not change obviously due to heating. The content of blood K+ and free Hb increased, glucose fell, but there was no statistically significant difference. The content of ATP and 2,3-DPG in eryth-rocyte increased and P50 increased after heating (P <0.05),which increased more significantly in group H compared with group N (P<0.05).Conclusion Heating stored blood up to 37 ℃ can in-crease the oxygen-carried function of red blood cells, which contribute to improve the effectiveness of transfusion.

s: Cyclocarya paliurus (Batal.) Iljinsk. polysaccharide (CPPC) has various biological activities including hypolipemic effect, hypoglycemic effect, anti-oxidant effect, anti-tumor effect and immunomodulatiry;especially that hypolipemic effect and hypoglycemic effect have become the research hotspots in recent years. This article reviewed extraction, purification, content determination and biological activity of CPPC in the latest decade, with a purpose to provide references for the deep research and industrial development CPPC.

China Biotechnology 2006;0(12):-
Alliinase is immobilized on pre-activated chitosan microspheres by glutaraldehyde. The optimum immobilization conditions are as follows: glutaraldehyde concentration is 4%,alliinase concentration 20.2U,immobilization time 2h.For immobilized alliinase, the highest activity was allowed at pH 7.0 and temperature 35℃,and the Michaelis constant(Km)was disclosed to be 7.9mmol/L by Lineweaver-Burk plot, and after 10 times reuses the immobilized alliinase lost no more than 10% activity.

Journal of Interventional Radiology 2001;0(06):-
Objective To investigate the effects of uterine resection and uterine arterial embolization on the function of ovary. Methods The serum concentrations of estrin(E 2), progestogen(P), follicule stimulating hormone(FSH), luteotropic hormone(LH) and prolactin(PRL) were measured in 15 patients with uterine resection and 22 patients with uterine arterial embolization; including 23 patients with uterine leiomyoma and 29 normal women. We compared the results of the five hormones in each group. Results The serum concentrations of E 2 and P in the group of uterine resection were lower than the normal control group, there was a significant difference between them. Compared the serum concentrations of E 2 and P in the group of uterine arterial embolization and normal control group, there was no significant difference. The serum concentration of PRL in the group of uterine leiomyoma was higher than the normal control group with significant difference. When the uterus was resected or uterine artery was embolished, the serum concentration of PRL decreased remarkably. Conclusions Uterine resection has effects on the function of ovary, but uterine arterial embolization would not. PRL may be one of the factors causing the formation of uterine leiomyoma.

Objective To investigate the possible role of protein kinase(PK) activity in the induction of AP-1 by ox-LDL in mesangial cells and to elucidate the upstream signal pathways involved in the ox-LDL-induced AP-1 binding. Methods Rat mesangial cells were randomly divided into the normal cells, ox-LDL-treated cells and PK inhibitor + ox-LDL-treated cells. Treatments with the PKC inhibitor bisindolylmaleimide I, the PKA inhibitor H89, the PTK inhibitor genistein (GEN), the MEKi inhibitor PD98059, or the p38 MAPK inhibitor SB203580 were applied prior to a 24-hour incubation of ox-LDL in mesangial cells. The phosphorylation of MAPK families was detected by Weatern blot analysis. AP-1 binding was determined by gel shift assay. Results Ox-LDL stimulated the phosphorylation of JNKi/SAPK and p38 MAPK( P 0. 05) . Bisindolylmaleimide I at 50, 100, 200 nmol/L appreciably reduced the ox-LDL-induced AP-1 binding. H89 at 0. 5, 5 umol/L significantly inhibited AP-1 binding by ox-LDL. GEN at 25, 50 umol/L did not reduce the AP-1 binding by ox-LDL, but when GEN rose up to 100 umol/L, the ox-LDL-induced AP-1 binding significantly decreased in mesangial cells. However, SB203580 and PD98059 did not reduce the ox-LDL-induced AP-1 binding in the present study. Conclusion Multiple protein kinases may involve in the stimulation of AP-1 by ox-LDL in mesangial cells.

Recent Advances in Ophthalmology 2001;21(3):187-188
Objective To investigate the efficacy and security of the treatment for the with visual function in neovascular glaucoma with Ahmed glaucoma value(AGV ).Methods Twenty-six cases (26 eyes) with visual function in neovascular glaucoma underwent AGV implantation. Results After surgery, the follow-up periods lasted for 4 to 26 months (mean 8 months ),the visual acuity of 22 eyes (86.4%) was improved or remained the same,no case of the blindness was found. The mean intraocular pressure was between 0.8~2.8kPa in 17 eyes, and the Yate of control reaches to 65.4% , the postoperative complication included transicent hyphema, Early hypotony, obstruction of the tube tip and drop out of the plate. Conclusion The AGV implantation treating those with visual function in neovascular glaucoma is an effective and safe method.

Objective To examine the concurrent validity of Peabody'S developmental motor scale number 2(PDMS-2)and Gesell's developmental scales with 1 2 to 30 month-old children with cerebral palsy (CP)and to assess the value of PDMS-2 in measuring motor function in children with CP.Methods Eighty-four children with CP aged 12 to 30 months were assessed with both PDMS-2 and Gesell's developmental scales. The correlation between PDMS-2 gross motor quotients and Gesell gross motor developmental quotients, and be-tween PDMS-2 fine motor quotients and Gesell fine motor developmental quotients were compared using Spearman rank correlation coefficients. Results The correlation coefficient between PDMS-2 gross motor quo-tient and the Gesell gross motor developmental quotient was 0.89.Between PDMS-2 fine motor quotient and Gesell's fine motor developmental quotient it was 0.87.The concurrent validities were 0.28 and 0.42 respec-tively. Conclusion PDMS-2 gross motor quotient and Gesell's gross motor developmental quotient are highly correlated,as are PDM S-2 fine motor quotient and Gesell's fine motor developmental quotient. The concurrent validities were between classifications using the PDMS-2 gross motor quotient and Gesell's gross motor develop- mental quotient were weakly correlated, but there was moderate correlation between PDM S-2 fine motor quotientsand Gesell fine gross developmental quotients. There may be limitations in assessing motor function children aged12 to 30 months with cerebral palsy using PDMS-2.
