Through reviewing ancient and modern literatures,the effect evolution and disease treatment changes of Belamcanda chinensis were understood.The pharmacological experiments were used to verify its main effects.The combination of featured advantages of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and modern science and technology contributed to the promotion of TCM modernization.It had important significance for the development of effective components,selection of disease types in the treatment for research and development of new TCM drugs.The indication of Belamcanda chinensis was verified from textual research.The treatment of disease types by Belamcanda chinensis was verified from medical books.The treatment of disease types by Belamcanda chinensis compound was analyzed based on the Pujifang database management system.Main indications of Belamcanda chinensis were summarized.Modern pharmacological studies on anti-inflammatory mechanism of main components of Belamcanda chinensis were combined to screen animal models and investigation indexes for the preliminary verification of the efficacy of Belamcanda chinensis.The comprehensive application of classical herbal medicine books and prescription database analysis results showed that removing phlegm and relieving sore throat were the efficacy of Belamcanda chinensis,which was an important medicine in the treatment of pharyngitis and sore throat.In the modern research,serum of experimental group,IL-4 in throat tissues,as well as IgE and LTC4 level in serum and lung tissues were significantly reduced compared to the model group (P＜0.05).It was concluded that the treatment effect of Belamcanda chinensis extract to chronic pharyngitis may be through the decreasing of IgE level in serum and lung tissues,inhibiting IL-4 expression in serum and throat tissues,and the LTC4 expression in serum.

Objective To explore the etiology,clinical manifestations of infantal viral pneumonia in Luzhou area.Methods Five viral specific serum IgM antibodies were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) in acute period of viral pneumonia.Five kinds of virus were separated,as respiratory syncytial virue(RSV),influenza virus(IFV),adenovirus(ADV),cytonegalo virus(CMV),and parainfluenza virus(PIV).Serum specific IgM was positive,C-reactive protein(CRP) was less than 8 mg/L,and there was no(clini-)cal and laboratory proof of other pathogenic infection detected in 221 infants with pneumonia.Results 1.One hundred and four cases of viral infection were detected from 221 infants with pneumonia.The viral positive detected rate was 47.1%,and there were 75 cases of single viral infection(72.1%) and 29 cases of mixed viral infection(27.9%) among them.2.In the single viral infection,RSV was the first,IFV,ADV,PIV and CMV being the second,the third,the fourth,and the fifth respectively.3.The types of likely infection virus were different in different age-stage and seasons in infants.Conclusions The etiology of infantal pneumonia is complicated.The types of viral infection are various besides germ infection and the epidemic season peak;clinical manifestations are different.Earlier detection of(etiology) in infection will make clear the etiology and then take appropriate treatment measures to improve curative effect.

Objective To construct microvessel angiogenesis model in nonobese diabetic/severe combined immunodeficient disease(NOD/SCID) leukemia mice.Methods Divided NOD/SCID mice into group A:blank group;group B:endothelial cell(EC) injection group;group C:leukemia model mice with EC injection group.Microvessel density(MVD) in bone marrow was calculated with cnemis slice after immunohistochemistry dyeing.Evaluated leukemia burden in leukemia model mice.Results Bone marrow MVD in group C was significantly more than group B.Microvessels in leukemia mice had disordered branches and irregular cavity.The morphism of vessels was immature.Conclusions Microvessel angiogenesis model in NOD/SCID leukemia mice has been constructed successfully.It can be used in the study of anti-angiogenesis in leukemia and relative researches.

Objective To build a high quality diagnosis system for schistosomiasis surveillance in the situation of low infec-tion in Jianglin County. Methods The network laboratory for schistosomiasis diagnosis was built according to the national crite-ria in Jianglin County in 2012. Results The network laboratory for schistosomiasis diagnosis was established successfully and the operation was quiet well. Conclusion The establishment and operation of the laboratory play an important role in the real-ization of schistosomiasis elimination.

AIMTo investigate the neural network and cellular mechanisms of hippocampal epileptogenesis contralateral or ipsilateral to the side of acute tetanization (60 Hz, 2 s, 0.4 - 0.6 mA) of the posterior dorsal hippocampus (ATPDH).

METHODS10 trains of the ATPDH were administered into the CA1 basal dendritic region of the right hemisphere at an interval of 10 minutes.

RESULTS(1) The firing rate of CA1 single neuron in the right or the left hippocampus was inhibited respectively after the ATPDH, and the effects weakened gradually while the trains of the ATPDH increased. The inhibited firing rate and the transformed firing pattern from tonic one to clonic one were more obvious at the side contralateral to the stimulation (62.94% +/- 3.68%, 36.61% +/- 3.14%, P < 0.01). (2) Synchronous primary afterdischarges of depth EEG and single unit discharges were more commonly observed at the side ipsilateral to the ATPDH (P < 0.01). (3) Primary or secondary hippocampal network afterdischarges at high frequency were only found in CA1 region ipsilateral to the ATPDH. (4) Secondary afterdischarges of CA3 basal dendritic neural network were completely synchronized with those of subicular single neuron, which reoccurred and persisted several hours.

CONCLUSIONIt is possible that post-inhibition bursting of single neuron and recurrent network seizures in the hippocampus contralateral to the artificial focus be the important manifestation of the formation of "epileptic networks" across from one hemisphere to another.

AIM AND METHODSThe effect of intrahippocampal microinjection of noradrenaline (NA) and its receptors antagonists and agonists on cellular immune functions were investigated in normal and adrenalectomy rat by determine the proliferative activity of Con A-stimulated splenic lymphocytes in MTT method and natural killer (NK) cell activity.

RESULTS(1) In normal group, the proliferative activity of Con A-Stimulated splenic lymphocytes were inhibited and the activity of NK cell were reduced with microinjection NA and beta1-, beta2-adrenergic receptor agonists Dobutamine (Dob, 4 microl, 6.0 x 10(-3) moL/L), Metaproterenol (Met, 4 microl, 8.0 x 10(-3) mol/L), compared with their intensity of effect, NA > Met > Dob; the immunosuppression effect induced by NA was partly hindered by alpha- and beta-receptor antagonists, phentolamine (Phen, 2 microl, 1.6 x 10(-2) mol/L) and propranolol (Prop, 2 microl, 1.6 x 10(-3) mol/L), and the action of Prop was more evident. (2) In adrenalectomy group, immunosuppression effect induced by NA was unconspicuous.

CONCLUSIONThe results suggested that NA in hippocampus could inhibit distinctly cellular immune functions, which was predominantly mediated by beta2- adrenergic receptor with a minor contribution of beta1- and alpha- adrenergic receptors. Moreover, keeping intact construction and function of adrenal gland have an important role in the effect of NA on cellular immune function.

Objective:To analyze the accuracy of diagnostic indicators for perioperative venous thromboembolism（VTE）in orthopedic patients.Methods:A retrospective case-control study was conducted to analyze the clinical data of 109 patients who underwent initial total hip arthroplasty（THA），total knee arthroplasty（TKA）or proximal femoral nail antirotation（PFNA）in Hechuan District People ’s Hospital of Chongqing from January 2015 to September 2019. There were 55 males and 54 females，with age range of 18-76 years［（46.3 ± 11.2）years］. Of all，54 patients underwent unilateral THA due to femoral head necrosis and femoral neck fracture，36 patients underwent unilateral TKA due to osteoarthritis and 19 patients underwent PFNA due to proximal femoral fracture. VTE was confirmed in 47 patients（VTE group），and did not occur in 62 patients（non-VTE group）. Venous blood was collected from all patients on admission and at postoperative 1，3，5，7 days to measure levels of plasma D-dimer，serum interleukin（IL）-18 and vascular endothelial growth factor（VEGF）. The accuracy of the above indicators in VTE diagnosis was analyzed by using receiver operating characteristic（ROC）curve. Results:In both groups，preoperative levels of D-dimer，IL-18 and VEGF were significantly lower than those postoperatively，and each indicator showed significant difference at each time points after operation（ P < 0.05 or 0.01）. Moreover，levels of D-dimer，IL-18 and VEGF in VTE group were significantly higher than those in non-VTE group at each time after operation（ P < 0.05 or 0.01）. Area under the ROC curve（AUC）for D-dimer was 0.839（95% CI 0.729-0.887），with the optimal cut-off of 5.5 μg/ml，sensitivity of 87.0%，specificity of 79.0% and Youden index of 0.67. AUC for IL-18 was 0.817（95% CI 0.719-0.857），with the optimal cut-off of 293.5 pg/ml，sensitivity of 67.0%，specificity of 87.1% and Youden index of 0.457. AUC for VEGF was 0.837（95% CI 0.784-0.918），with the optimal cut-off of 510.8 pg/ml，sensitivity of 81.0%，specificity of 79.0% and Youden index of 0.583. AUC for combined D-dimer，IL-18 and VEGF was 0.870（95% CI 0.747-0.992），with the sensitivity of 87.2%，specificity of 83.4% and Youden index of 0.606. Conclusions:For diagnosis of perioperative VTE in orthopedic patients，serum VEGF is relatively accurate，while serum IL-18 has a low accuracy. However，the diagnostic rate of VTE can be improved by combining indicators of D-dimer，IL-18 and VEGF.

Objective:To compare the effect of percutaneous screw-rod system combined with sacroiliac screw internal fixation and non-operation of type II-IV fragility fracture of the pelvis (FFP).Methods:A retrospective multicentral cohort study was performed to analyze the clinical data of 74 patients with FFP treated in Jiangjin Central Hospital of Chongqing and Hechuan People′s Hospital of Chongqing from January 2017 to June 2021, including 23 males and 51 females, aged 62-95 years [(79.3±7.3)years]. A total of 41 patients received non-surgical treatment (non-operation group). and 33 patients received percutaneous screw-rod system combined with sacroiliac screw internal fixation (operation group). The time to get out of bed, visual analog scale (VAS) and Majeed score on admission and at 1, 3, 6, 12 months after treatment, fracture healing time and complications were evaluated in the two groups.Results:Except for 9 patients who died at 3-9 months after treatment, the remaining patients were followed up for 12-24 months [(13.5±3.2)months]. The time to get out of bed was (11.4±2.8)days in operation group and was (67.4±4.4)days in non-operation group ( P<0.01). The VAS and Majeed score at 1, 3, 6 and 12 months after treatment were significantly improved in both groups compared with those on admission (all P<0.05). There was no significant difference in VAS and Majeed score between the two groups on admission (all P>0.05). The VAS was (3.2±0.7)points in operation group compared to (4.2±0.8)points in non-operation group at 1 month after treatment, and was (1.8±0.5)points in operation group compared to (2.9±0.7)points in non-operation group at 3 months after treatment (all P<0.01). The Majeed score was (56.0±2.4)points in operation group compared to (40.4±2.7)points in non-operation group at 1 month after treatment; the score was (77.3±2.6)points in operation group compared to (57.7±4.2)points in non-operation group at 3 months after treatment; the score was (86.5±1.8)points in operation group compared to (79.6±2.8)points in non-operation group at 6 months after treatment (all P<0.01). In contrast, the two groups had no statistically significant difference in VAS at 6 months and 12 months after treatment and Majeed score at 12 months after treatment (all P>0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the fracture healing time between the two groups ( P>0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of complications related to fixation methods between the two groups ( P>0.05). The incidence of bed-related complications was 24.2% (8/33) in operation group and was 51.2% (21/41) in non-operation group ( P<0.05). The 1-year fatality rate was 3.0% (1/33) in operation group and 19.5% (8/41) in non-operation group ( P<0.05). Conclusion:Compared with non-operative treatment, percutaneous screw-rod system combined with sacroiliac screw internal fixation in the treatment of type II-IV FFP can allow early off-bed movement, effectively relieve pain, improve quality of life of the patients, and reduce complication rate.

Objective To study the infrared charts of three groups of winter swimming, normal constitution and HIV/AIDS, explore the characteristics of the thermal difference (△t) data of automatic thermal analysis (ATA) for reviewing the conditions of human healthy qi by applying ATA technique, and analyse the conclusion combined with TCM theory.Methods The cross-section research of the three groups was designed for observing △t data of Governor Vessel (GV), Conception Vessel (CV), Shenque (CV8), kidney, life gate, triple energizer, five zang-viscera and six bowels. The data were computed mathematically by using single factor variance analysis.Results The relative △t of GV in the three groups showed a descending order, and pairwise comparison had statistical significance respectively (P<0.01). The relative △t of CV8 and life gate was higher significantly in the groups of normal constitution and swimming than that in the group of HIV/AIDS, and △t of CV was higher significantly in the group of HIV/AIDS than that in the groups of normal constitution and swimming. The relative △t of kidney in the three groups showed a descending order, and pairwise comparison had statistical significance respectively (P<0.01).Conclusion The changes of △t of GV, CV, CV8, kidney, life gate, triple energizer, five zang-viscera and six bowels express the conditions of human healthy qi in this experiment, which is in accordance with the explanation of healthy qi in TCM theory.
