Journal of Peking University(Health Sciences) 2015;(2):312-316
Objective:To analyze the prognosis about periodontal ligament healing of replanted perma-nent teeth in children and to examine the associated factors. Methods: The sample consisted of 49 children with 61 avulsed permanent teeth, whose injuries had been managed in the period from 2000 to 2012.The clinical data of replanted teeth were collected, and the follow-up period was no less than 12 months .The factors were analyzed in relation to postoperative outcomes, classified as functional periodon-tal healing ( FH ) , infection-related ( inflammatory ) resorption ( IRR ) and replacement resorption ( RR) .Results:The functional healing rate was 23.0%, while replacement resorption rate was 72.1%. The replacement resorption ( ankylosis ) was usually observed earlier by clinical examination than by radiographic examination.86.0% (40/47) resorptive processes were diagnosed within the first year. Physiological storages, such as milk, saline and saliva were significantly better to periodontal ligament healing than nonphysiological storages, such as tap water and sterilizing solutions ( chloramine and alco-hol) .Functional healing was found significantly more frequent in canines and premolars. Conclusion:The factor significantly affecting periodontal ligament healing is storage medium.Replacement resorption is the most common type of root resorption. The replacement resorption diagnosis must combine the radio-graphic examination with the clinical examination. It is better to follow up more than 1 year after tooth re-plantation.

Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University(Medical Sciences) 2004;0(05):-
Objective To study the effect of ahylysantinfarctase (AF) on the growth of fetus lens epithelial cells (LECs) in vitro. Methods Fetal lens anterior capsule membranes from the eyeballs of dead fetus delivered by induced labor underwent primary cell culture with the modified method. The second or third generations of fetal LECs were used in this experiment. They were exposed to AF of six kinds of concentrations (2?10~ -4 , 4?10~ -4 , 8?10~ -4 , 16?10~ -4 , 32?10~ -4 , 64?10~ -4 u/mL). Their morphologic changes were observed with the inverted microscope and the value of absorption (A) in each well was tested by MTT assay to examine the effect of AF on the growth of the fetal LECs collected. Results In the experimental groups, especially AF groups of higher concentration, LECs exhibited inordinate shape, less kytoplasm, more cellular endoparticles, wider intercellular space and random disposition, and even adherence failure. After the cells grew in AF of different concentrations for 48h, A value in each group decreased with the increase of AF concentration, and differed significantly between all the experimental groups (P

Objective To investigate the effect of bifidobacterium (Bif) supplementation on acute inflammatory response in murine dextran sulfate sodium(DSS)-induced colitis, and its possible mechanism. Methods Mice were divided into four groups: control,DSS, salfasalazine (SASP) and Bif. The mice in groups DSS, SASP and Bif were fed with 5% DSS(w/v) solution for 7 days to induce colitis, and disease activity index (DAI) was calculated every day. The mice in group SASP were fed with SASP every day during inducing colitis, and the mice in Bif group were given Bif by oral gavage from 7 days before the experiment to the end of experiment. The expression of TNF-?、NF-?B P65 and myeloperoxidase (MPO) in inflamed colon of each group was measured at the end of experiment. Results The mice in groups SASP and Bif showed a lower DAI than those in group DSS since the forth day to the end of experiment. There were lower level of TNF-? and MPO in murine inflammatory colon, and lower NF-?B P65 expression in nuclei of inflammatory cells in groups SASP and Bif than those in control at the end of experiment. Conclusions Treatment with Bif can effectively inhibit proinflammatory cytokine secretion and NF-?B activation in inflammatory cells, and decrease colonic inflammatory response in DSS induced colitis.

Journal of Practical Stomatology 1995;0(04):-
Objective: To explore levels of salivary IgA, lysozyme, lactate dehydrogenase, alkaline phosphatase and total proteins in unstimulated (UWS) and stimulated (SWS) whole saliva of caries-free children. Methods: 94 caries-free children, aged from 42 to 54 months, were recruited from urban kindergartens in Beijing. 2 ml UWS and 2 ml SWS were collected from each child to measure salivary IgA, lysozyme, lactate dehydrogenase, alkaline phosphatase and total proteins. Results:1) There were no differences in salivary proteins between boys and girls in both UWS and SWS, except total proteins. In UWS, the concentration of total proteins in girls was lower than that in boys (P0.05). 2) The concentration of IgA in SWS was significantly lower than that in UWS (P0.05). Conclusion:In 3-to 4-year old children, the protein composition in stimulated whole saliva is different from that in unstimulated whole saliva, and it is also different between genders. Therefore, it is more reliable to measure salivary proteins in both UWS and SWS when studying saliva of children.

Microbiology 1992;0(05):-
Biocontrol bacteria 308R(pKSH) with hrpN of Erwinia amyloyora. It can secrete the Harpin protein which can induce plant resistance. After successive growth in antibiotic-free LB medium for 50 generations, only 23.1% of the cell still retained the plasmid pKSH, in comparison with 4.75% of the cosmid pCPP430. Sprayed onto the leaves of tomato, the recombinant strain maintained a population density of over 10~ 5 cfu/cm~ 2 when kept under high humidity in thirteen days, but if without humidity, the strain keep 10~ 4 cfu/cm~ 2 over in five days. On the tomato leaves, the stability of the recombinant strain 308R(pKSH) was higher than the strain 308R(pCPP430). The experiment indicated that the recombinant strain 308R(pKSH) had higher stability compared with the strain 308R(pCPP430), but that was not enough. In this paper reasons for unstability and strategies for improving were discussed for the recombinant strain.
