This paper reported study on iontophrcsis of decoction of Carthamus tinctorius L. with rectified sin-electric current (current intensity 23 mA). The flavonoid of C. tinetorius was taken fer test index. The mouse skin was used as the analogue membrane. The drug amount of transdermal was determined by the TLC scanner.The results indicated that the effect of drug transdermal absorption was impreved by the experimental method of iontopheresis. The drug a mount of transdermal absorption increased with time prolong.

AIM To develop a RP-HPLC method for the simultaneous content determination of five constituents in wild Gastrodia elata Blume,G.elata Bl.form.glauca S.Chow,G.elata Bl.form.elata and G.elata Bl.form.flavida S.Chow from seven growing areas (Zhaotong and Lijiang in Yunan,Lu'an in Anhui,Hanzhong in Shannxi,Dejiang in Guizhou,Guangyuan in Sichuan,and Yichang in Hubei).METHODS The analysis of Gastrodiae Rhizoma 70％ methanol extract was performed on a 35 ℃ thermostatic Waters Sunfire C18 column (4.6 mm ×250 mm,5 μm),with the mobile phase comprising of methanol-0.1％ formic acid flowing at 1.0 mL/min in a gradient elution manner,and the detection wavelength was set at 270 nm.RESULTS Adenosine,gastrodin,4-hydroxybenzyl alcohol,4-hydroxybenzaldehyde and parishin A showed good linear relationships within their own ranges (r≥0.999 5),whose average recoveries were 99.34％-101.33％ with the RSDs of 1.85％-3.28％.Their contents were the highest in G.elata Bl.form.glauca S.Chow cultivated in Zhaotong (collected in 2013),Lu'an (collected in 2013),Yichang (collected in 2013),Zhaotong (collected in 2014) and Yichang (collected in 2013),respectively,and the total content was the highest in G.elata Bl.form.glauca S.Chow cultivated in Yichang (collected in 2013).CONCLUSION This accurate,sensitive and reliable method can be used for the quality control of Gastrodiae Rhizoma.

This article was aimed to study the chemical constituents of the petroleum ether fraction of Liparis nervosa.Chemicalcompoundswereisolatedandpurifiedthroughvariouschromatographytechniques.The accurate structures of chemical compounds were confirmed with spectral data and literatures. The results showed that7chemicalconstituentswereisolatedfromthepetroleumetherfractionofLiparis nervosa,whichwere moscatin (1), batatasin Ⅲ (2), bergapten (3), isoimpinellin (4), xanthotoxin (5), imperatorin (6) and β-sitosterol (7). It was concluded that chemical constituents 3-7 were isolated from this genus for the first time. And chemical constituents 1-7 were isolated from this plant for the first time.

Aim To investigate the effects of diterpene ginkgolides meglumine injection (DGMI ) on amino acids and monoamine neurotransmitters in rats with cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury.Methods In-traluminal suture was applied to establish middle cere-bral artery occlusion (MCAO/R)model with ischemia for 1.5 h and reperfusion for 24 h.After the adminis-tration of DGMI (i.v.),the levels of amino acid and monoamine neurotransmitters in brain tissue were de-tected through HPLC-ECD.Results DGMI down-reg-ulated the concentrations of aspartic acid, glutamic acid,glycine and γ-aminobutyric acid which were in-creased in MCAO/R group.DGMI also reduced the levels of norepinephrine epinephrine,glyoxylic acid, serotonin and 5-HIAA in cortex and hippocampus,and increased adrenaline content compared to the model group.Conclusion DGMI exhibits a protective role in rats with cerebral ischemia /reperfusion injury through regulating amino acids and monoamine neuro-transmitters.

Chronic kidney diseases severely affects human health and quality of life.The end-stage renal disease (ESRD) patients require extensive blood purification treatments.Due to the limitations of methods,traditional dialysis treatments greatly limit the activity of the patients undergoing dialysis.Portable artificial kidneys can meet the diverse needs of these patients,and has become a new direction of research.There are two types of portable artificial kidneys,which are respectively based on hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis,such as wearable artificial kidney (WAK) and bio-implantable artificial kidney (BAK).At present,preclinical experiments with artificial kidneys have achieved initial success,basically meeting treatment needs.Portable artificial kidneys are expected to achieve a mobile continuous dialysis treatment,reduce hospitalization and mortality in ESRD patients,save medical resources,improve the life quality of the patients,and make the patients return to normal lifestyles.The research status of WAK and BAK was reviewed,and their future developments were prospected.

Objective To investigate the relationship of the 5-lipoxygenase-activating (ALOX5AP) gene polymorphisms with ischemic stroke in Uygur Xinjiang.Methods One hundred and ninety-seven Uygur patients with ischemic stroke and 200 Uygur healthy controls in Xinjiang were collected in our study from October 2011 to October 2012.The SG13S32 locus polymorphisms of A LOX5A P gene were determined by using PCR-restriction fragment length polymorphism technique.The case-control analysis was used to analyze the genotypes distributions and allele frequencies.Results There were statistical differences in the distributions of AC genotypes of SG13S32 locus in ALOX5AP gene between patient group and control group (P＜0.05) and AC genotypes of SG13S32 locus in ALOX5AP gene significantly increased the risk of ischemic stroke (OR=5.27,95％CI:2.75-11.73).The distributions of all genotypes showed no statistical differences between male and female in the patient group (P＞0.05).The distributions of all genotypes showed no statistical differences between patients of different TOAST ratio (P＞0.05).Conclusion The ALOX5A P gene SG13S32 locus polymorphisms are associated with risk of ischemic stroke in Xinjiang Uygur population; risk of ischemic stroke does not associate with gender and TOAST ratio.

Objective To synthesize a molecular probe targeted to human hepatoma HepG2 cells with high expression of integrin αvβ3 (RGD-PEG-VSOP) and evaluate its MRI efficacy in vitro.Methods RGD-PEG-VSOP was characterized and analyzed by 1H NMR and TEM.MTT test was used to evaluate its biological safety.In vitro experiments at the cellular level,the targeting effect of RGD-PEG-VSOP to integrin was assessed,meanwhile the nontargeted nanoparticles were used as controls.Results TEM showed that the nanoparticles were spherical and uniform in size,with a relatively high r1 relaxivity of 1.37 mM-1S-1.MRI showed the signal intensity of the HepG2 cells treated with RGD-PEG--VSOP was significantly higher than that of the HepG2 cells treated with PEG-VSOP (P＜0.05).Conclusion RGD-PEG-VSOP has positive T1 contrast effect.At the cellular level,the RGD-PEG-VSOP nanoparticles have the characteristics targeted to integrin αvβ3.

Objective:To investigate the clinical features and associated influencing factors of cognitive impairment in middle-aged and elderly Chinese adult patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis (HD).Methods:A cross-sectional study was conducted among HD patients from 11 centers in Beijing city from April 2017 to June 2017. A neuropsychological battery covering domains of attention/processing speed, executive function, memory, language, and visuospatial function was applied in cognitive function assessment. Patients were classified as normal cognitive function group and cognitive impairment group according to the fifth version of the diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders criteria (DSM-V). Multivariate binary logistic regression was used to analyze the independent influencing factors of cognitive impairment. Results:A total of 613 HD patients were included in the study, and the prevalence of cognitive impairment was 80.91% (496/613). Attention impairment (81.05%) and memory impairment (63.51%) were the most common impaired domains, and 79.23% was concomitant impairment across two or more cognitive domains among those with cognitive impairment. Compared with the patients in the normal cognitive function group, the patients in the cognitive impairment group had senior age, longer dialysis vintage, higher proportion of diabetes, hypertension, and stroke, higher level of serum intact parathyroid hormone (iPTH), lower education level, and lower urea clearance index (Kt/V) (all P<0.05). Factors were independently associated with cognitive impairment including increasing age ( OR=1.110, 95% CI 1.072-1.150, P<0.001), education time>12 years (with education time<6 years as reference, OR=0.323, 95% CI 0.115-0.909, P=0.032), history of diabetes ( OR=2.151, 95% CI 1.272-3.636, P=0.004), history of stroke ( OR=2.546, 95% CI 1.244-5.210, P=0.011), increased dialysis vintage ( OR=1.016, 95% CI 1.010-1.022, P<0.001), reduced Kt/V( OR=0.008, 95% CI 0.002-0.035, P<0.001), and increased iPTH level ( OR=1.002, 95% CI 1.002-1.003, P=0.012). Conclusions:The prevalence of cognitive impairment in middle-aged and elderly adult Chinese patients undergoing HD is high. Memory and attention are the most commonly impaired domains. Increasing age, low education level, history of diabetes and stroke, increased dialysis vintage, reduced Kt/V and increased serum iPTH are the independent influencing factors associated with cognitive impairment.

Objective:To investigate the association between cognitive impairment and all-cause mortality in middle and elderly adult patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis (HD).Methods:A prospective cohort study was conducted. Patients from 11 HD centers in Beijing between April and June 2017 were enrolled. Baseline data were collected, and a series of neuropsychological batteries covered 5 domains of cognitive function were applied for the assessment of cognitive function. The patients were then classified as normal and cognitive impairment groups according to the fifth version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders criteria (DSM-V) and followed-up until June 2018. The clinical characteristics of the two groups of patients were compared. Kaplan-Meier survival analysis was used to compare the difference in the cumulative survival rate between the two groups. Multivariate Cox regression model was used to analyze the independent influencing factors of all-cause mortality, to determine the relationship between cognitive impairment and different cognitive domain impairments and all-cause death.Results:A total of 613 patients were enrolled, of which 496(80.91%) patients had cognitive impairment. Compared with the normal cognitive function group, the patients in the cognitive impairment group tended to be older, longer dialysis vintage, a higher proportion of diabetes, hypertension, and stroke, increased serum iPTH level, and lower education level and urea clearance index (Kt/V) (all P<0.05). After (49.53±8.42) weeks of follow-up, Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that the cumulative survival rate of cognitive impairment group was significantly lower than that of cognitive normal group (Log-rank χ2=8.610, P=0.003). Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that history of diabetes ( HR=2.742, 95% CI 1.598-4.723, P<0.001), coronary heart disease ( HR=1.906, 95% CI 1.169-3.108, P=0.010), dialysis vintage (every increase of 1 month, HR=1.007, 95% CI 1.003-1.011, P=0.001), serum level of albumin (every increase of 1 g/L, HR=0.859, 95% CI 0.809-0.912, P<0.001), cognitive impairment ( HR=2.719, 95% CI 1.088-6.194, P=0.032) were independently associated with all-cause mortality. Multivariate Cox regression analysis on different cognitive domains also indicated that memory impairment ( HR=2.571, 95% CI 1.442-4.584, P<0.001), executive function impairment ( HR=3.311, 95% CI 1.843-5.949, P=0.001) and three, four, five domains combined impairment ( HR=5.746, 95% CI 1.880-17.565, P=0.002; HR=12.420, 95% CI 3.690-41.802, P<0.001; HR=13.478, 95% CI 3.381-53.728, P<0.001) were independently related to all-cause mortality. Conclusions:Cognitive impairment is an independent risk factor of all-cause mortality in middle and elderly adult patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis, and the risk is significantly increased in patients with the impairment of the domains of memory, executive function, or in the combination of three to five cognitive domains.

Objective:To investigate the epidemiological characteristics and etiological distribution of infection on 3 067 hospitalized pediatric patients with burns, and explore the prevention and treatment strategy of pediatric burns.Methods:A cross-sectional survey was conducted. An analysis was performed on the data of 3 067 hospitalized pediatric patients with burns who met the inclusion criteria and were admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Army Medical University (the Third Military Medical University) from January 2012 to December 2020, including gender, age, causative factors, locations and severities of burns, seasons of accidents, and the type, source of tissue or body fluid, and drug resistance of pathogenic bacteria. API bacterial identification batten and automatic microbial identification system were applied for pathogen identification. Drug sensitivities of top 3 consistent ratio pathogen identifed were tested with minimum inhibitory concentration and disk diffusion method. WHONET 5.6 software was applied to analyze the data.Results:There were 3 067 hospitalized pediatric patients with burns, including 1 768 boys and 1 299 girls. The majority of pediatric burn patients were >1 and ≤4 years, accounting for 72.9% (2 236/3 067), and the minority of pediatric burn patients were >8 and ≤12 years, accounting for 4.9% (150/3 067). Moderate burns and severe burns of pediatric burn patients accounted for the majority parts, and the proportions of the two were close. The top cause of pediatric burns was scald, accounting for 81.6% (2504/3 067). Extremities were the most common burn sites in that of entire 3 254. The most pediatric burns occurred in winter, accounting for 29.4% (903/3 067). A total of 1 018 strains of pathogenic bacteria were collected from pediatric burn patients, all of which were non-repeated isolates. The pathogens with top five consistent ratio were Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acinetobacter baumannii, Enterobacter cloacae, and Escherichia coli, among which Staphylococcus aureus ranked the first every year. The pathogens were mainly isolated from the wound exudate, accounting for 81.34% (828/1 018). Staphylococcus aureus from 2012 to 2020 showed no resistance to vancomycin, linezolid or teicoplanin while Staphylococcus aureus isolated in 2019 was 100% resistant to macrolides, penicillin, aminoglycosides, and quinolones. Pseudomonas aeruginosa was not resistant to polymyxin B. Acinetobacter baumannii showed a high rate of drug resistance to most antibiotics. Conclusions:Among the pediatric burn patients admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Army Medical University (the Third Military Medical University) from 2012 to 2020, the majority are male children aged >1 and ≤4 years with moderate burns. Scalds are the leading cause; and extremities are the common burn sites; and the most pediatric burns occurre in winter. Staphylococcus aureus from wound exudate is the primary pathogen of burn wound infections in pediatric patients.
