This paper built the mathematical model of a centrifugal blood pump, which was designed by ourselves, combined it with that of the human cardiovascular system and simulated the coupling system using Matlab. Then we set up the experiment platform, linked the blood pump to mock human cardiovascular system in case of three-stage heart failure, and measured aortic pressure and flow under different speed. The comparison between experiment results and simulation results not only indicates the coupling model is correct and the blood pump works well, but also shows that with the increase of blood pump speed, the pulsation of aortic pressure and flow will be reduced, this situation will affect the structure and function of blood vessels.

Purpose:
Through meta-analysis, we aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of drug-coated balloons (DCB), compared with drugeluting stents (DES) or uncoated devices, in the treatment of de novo coronary lesions.
Materials and Methods:
Only randomized controlled trials were included. The primary outcomes were late lumen loss (LLL), target lesion revascularization (TLR), and major adverse cardiac events (MACEs). Subgroup analyses were conducted based on clinical indications, whether DCBs were used with a systematic or bailout stent, and types of DESs.
Results:
The present meta-analysis demonstrated that DCBs elicit significantly lower incidences of TLR, MACE, and LLL, compared with uncoated devices, and similar incidences, compared with DESs, in the treatment of de novo coronary lesions. Subgroup analysis indicated that DCBs used with a bailout stent achieved lower incidences of binary restenosis and myocardial infarction, compared with uncoated devices, and provided less LLL than DESs. DCBs showed similar rates of TLR and MACE, with significantly less LLL, than DESs in treating de novo small-vessel diseases. The clinical efficacy of DCBs was similar to that of secondgeneration DES.
Conclusion
Overall, DCB is favored over bare metal stent alone in treating de novo coronary lesions. DCBs appear to be a promising alternative to DESs in the treatment of de novo coronary lesions.

Ma-huang Lian-yao Chi-xiao-dou Tang is one of the three formulas for typhoid jaundice. But it has not received much attention, and the source of Lian-yao in the formula is unknown and the status and role are difficult to identify. In this paper,we first analyzed the functions of Ephedra and the symptoms of the whole formula. The formula was mainly used to"clear damp-heat"in order to remove jaundice. On this basis,it is proved that Lian-yao is the root of Forsythia,not"Qiao-gen".Today,the use of Forsythia instead of Lian-yao has the same effect. Then, the indispensable and important position of Forsythia in the formula was analyzed. It also pointed out some valuable directions for the medicinal use and research and development of Forsythia based on its wide range of effects but the lack of main symptoms. This paper provides insights for in-depth theoretical and practical research on Forsythiae Fructus.

Mitochondria as a signaling platform play crucial roles in deciding cell fate. Many classic anticancer agents are known to trigger cell death through induction of mitochondrial damage. Mitophagy, one selective autophagy, is the key mitochondrial quality control that effectively removes damaged mitochondria. However, the precise roles of mitophagy in tumorigenesis and anticancer agent treatment remain largely unclear. Here, we examined the functional implication of mitophagy in the anticancer properties of magnolol, a natural product isolated from herbal
