Objective To study the value of relative cerebral blood flow(rCBF)changes in patients with amnestic-type mild cognitive impairment (aMCI)and mild Alzheimer disease(AD) using MRI pulsed arterial spin labeling(PASL).Methods A prospective study recruited 37 aMCI patients (aMCI group),30 mild AD patients(mild AD group) and 30 healthy volunteers (normal control group) from March 2011 to December 2013,MRI using PASL for cerebral perfusion imaging was performed and data of rCBF were collected.Taking age as covariate, analysis of variance (ANONA)was carried out to assess the difference of rCBF among all the three groups, then Bonferroni was done between every two groups.A follow-up examination using PASL was performed in the seventeen patients of the aMCI group. And paired t-test was used for comparing the longitudinal change of their rCBF data. Results Compared with the normal control group, the aMCI group showed significant increase of rCBF in bilateral posterior cingulate cortices and precuneus (cluster number 2 785,P<0.05).While the mild AD group showed decrease of rCBF in the left inferior and superior parietal lobes, the angular, middle frontal lobe,as well as the right superior temporal lobe (cluster number 3 459-5 206,P<0.05).When compared with the aMCI group, the mild AD group showed regional hypoperfusion in bilateral middle frontal lobes, the left precuneus, the right postcentral and inferior parietal lobe (cluster number 3 236-19 863,P<0.05).In the longitudinal study of the 17 aMCI patients,an increased rCBF was found to coexist with reduced rCBF in the left inferior frontal and lateral occipital cortex, bilateral frontal poles and paracingulate gyrus, with hyperperfusion dominated.Increased rCBF was also detected in the left temporal lobe, the angular gyrus and precuneus, while decreased rCBF was present in the left putamen, the operculum and right corpus callosum (P<0.05).Conclusions ASL perfusion imaging is a valuable method for dynamic monitoring of the cerebral perfusion changes in aMCI and AD patients.PASL will assist in finding a useful imaging biomarker for early diagnosis of AD.

Objective To explore the value of curvature value of liver surface nodularity(LSN)based on MRI in evaluating liver function in patients with liver cirrhosis. Methods A retrospective analysis was made on the patients who underwent upper abdomen MR examination at 3.0T.The normal liver function patients and cirrhosis patients were enrolled in the study and then the Child-Pugh score of the patients were calculated. The patients were divided into three groups:normal liver group, compensated cirrhosis group and decompensated cirrhosis group. The water phase imaging of 3D modified Dixon fast field echo(mDixon-FFE)sequence was copied in DICOM format.ITK software was used to manually draw the full-thickness liver edge by two observers. The curvature value of LSN was obtained by using matlab self compiled code for follow up analysis.Kruskal-Wallis H test was used to compare the curvature value between the groups. The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was drawn and the area under the curve(AUC)was obtained.Spearman test was used for the correlation analysis. Results The curvature values of LSN among the normal liver, compensated cirrhosis and decompensated cirrhosis groups gradually increased(P<0.05).Comparing normal liver with compensated cirrhosis, the AUC of diagnosing compensated cirrhosis was 0.84,with the sensitivity of 72.7%and the specificity of 89.3%.Comparing compensated cirrhosis with decompensated cirrhosis, the AUC of diagnosing decompensated cirrhosis was 0.91,with the sensitivity of 80%and the specificity of 90.9%.There was a moderate positive correlation between the curvature value of LSN and liver function score in patients with cirrhosis(r=0.63,P=0.002).Conclusion The curvature value of LSN based on MRI can be used for preliminary evaluation of liver function of liver cirrhosis, with the AUC more than 0.80 and higher sensitivity and specificity.

Coagulometer, known as blood coagulation analyzer, is a product that can provide accurate test results for medical diagnosis and treatment analysis by detecting a series of items closely related to thrombosis and hemostasis in coagulation reaction. On the basis of previous traditional methods, and with our deep understanding about the principles of hemagglutination detection, we propose a hemagglutination detection method by using the dual-magnetic circuit beads method. Then, the corresponding hemagglutination detection module is designed. The coagulation time of plasma can be measured by detecting the movement of the magnetic beads when the magnetic field intensity is appropriate. The activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT) of plasma is tested when the most suitable magnetic field intensity is found. The results preliminarily show that this blood coagulation test method is valid and the corresponding test module has a potential value in business.

Background: Livin, survivin and Pak-1 are all related to the occurrence and development of gastric cancer. Livin and survivin play their roles by inhibiting the activity of caspase-7. Aims: To investigate the expressions and significance of livin, survivin, Pak-1 and caspase-7 in different gastric mucosal lesions. Methods: A total of 45 cases of gastric cancer and paracancerous tissue, 45 chronic atrophic gastritis with intestinal metaplasia, 45 chronic non-atrophic gastritis from Jan. 2015 to Dec. 2019 at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Baotou Medical College were collected. Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expressions of livin, survivin, Pak-1 and caspase-7, and their correlations with clinicopathological features of gastric cancer patients were analyzed. Results: Compared with chronic non-atrophic gastritis group and paracancerous group, the positivity expression rates of livin, survivin and Pak-1 in intestinal metaplasia group were significantly increased (P<0.05), while caspase-7 was significantly decreased (P<0.05). Compared with intestinal metaplasia group, the positivity expression rates of livin, survivin and Pak-1 in gastric cancer group were significantly increased (P<0.05), while caspase-7 was significantly decreased (P<0.05). Expressions of livin, survivin, Pak-1 and caspase-7 were correlated with the differentiation degree, TNM stage, depth of infiltration and lymph node metastasis in patients with gastric cancer (P<0.05). Conclusions: Livin, survivin, Pak-1 and caspase-7 play important roles in the occurrence and development of gastric cancer.
