OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of Jintiange capsules combined with zoledronic acid on bone mineral densi-ty(BMD),VAS scores and lab indexes of patients with postmenopausal diabetic osteoporosis. METHODS:140 patients with post-menopausal diabetic osteoporosis were divided into control group and treatment group according to randomized blocks, with 70 cas-es in each group. Both group received 0.9% Sodium chloride injection 100 ml intravenously before and after treatment, and were given vitamin D and calcium. Control group was given Zoledronic acid injection 5 mg intravenously for more than 15 min, once ev-ery 4 weeks. Treatment group was additionally given Jintiange capsules 1.2 g,po,tid,on the basis of control group. Both groups received 6 months of treatment. BMD,VAS score, lab indexes before and after treatment and the occurrence of ADR were com-pared between 2 groups. RESULTS:After treatment,BMD of 2 groups were increased significantly compared to before treatment, and the treatment group was significantly higher than the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). VAS score of 2 groups after treatment were significantly lower than before treatment, and VAS score of treatment group was significantly lower than that of control group after treatment, with statistical significance(P<0.05). The levels of blood calcium and serium inorganic phosphorus had no change in 2 groups;but the level of osteocalcin was significantly higher than before treatment, while the level of bone-specific alkaline phosphatase was significantly lower than before treatment, and the levels of osteocalcin and bone-specific alkaline phosphatase in treatment groups were significantly better than in control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). There was no statistical significance in the incidence of ADR between 2 groups(P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Jintiange capsules combined with Zoledronic acid injection in the treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis patients with diabetes can significantly in-crease BMD,relieve pain and improve lab index levels. Moreover,it doesn’t increase the risk of ADR.

Objective To study the effect of isometric contraction on subaxial cervical instability with sympathetic nervous symptoms. Methods 41 subaxial cervical instability patients with sympathetic nervous symptoms were assigned to experimental group (n=21) and control group (n=20). Both groups received manipulation therapy. Experimental group received isometric contraction in addition. They were assessed with Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and heart rate variability (HRV), including total power (TP), low frequency power (LF), high frequency power (HF), and LF/HF before and 3 weeks after treatment. Results The scores of VAS, LF and LF/HF decreased in both groups after treatment (P<0.05), which decreased more in the experiement group than in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Isometric contraction can release the sympathetic nervous symptoms post subaxial cervical instability.

Objective To assess the effect of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) on motor and ambulatory function in incomplete spinal cord injury (SCI) patients. Methods 18 incomplete SCI patients (AIS D) were randomized to treatment group (n=10) and control group (n=8). The treatment group received rTMS while the control group received sham stimulation for 2 weeks. All the patients received routine rehabilitation. They were assessed with Lower Extremity Motor Score (LEMS), 10 m Walking Test for Walking Speed, modified Ashworth scale (MAS), Walking Index for SCI Scale II(WISCI II), and Spinal Cord Independence Measure (SCIM) before and after treatment, and followed up for 2 weeks after treatment. Results The treatment group significantly improved in LEMS, walking speed, and SCIM after treatment and during follow up (P<0.05), while the control group improved only in SCIM (P<0.05). There was more significant improvement in LEMS in the treatment group than in the control group (P<0.05) after treantment and during follow up. There was no difference between two groups in MAS, walking speed, WISCI II and SCIM. Conclusion rTMS can further improve the motor of lowere limbs for incomplete SCI patients.

Objective To analyse the high-dose dexamethasone suppression test(HDDST)-related differences in the clinical and biochemical features of the patients with Cushing's disease Methods Cases were drawn from 60 consecutive patients with Cushing's disease, who were then divided into two groups according to the response to the HDDST.The clinical and biochemical features between two groups were compared.Results(1) Of the 60 patients with Cushing's disease,23.3%(14/60)of patients(group A)did not yield results of suppression with the HDDST,and the others(group B)did. No difference was found in the age[(33.8?10.4 vs 36.2?11.2)years]and duration of illness[(2.1?1.6 vs 3.9?3.1)years]between two groups.(2)In clinical features, the patients in group A were more likely to have edema of lower limbs(64.3% vs 32.6%),hypokalemia (71.4% vs 28.3%),secondary diabetes(57.1% vs 26.1%)and purple striae(85.7% vs 54.3%,all P

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of helium neon laser irradiation combined with boric acid wet packing on elder patients with pressure ulcers. Methods 52 cases of elderly patients with pressure ulcer were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. The control group was treated with boric acid wet packing after the wound debridement. The treatment group was treated with the helium neon laser irradiation on the pressure ulcer surface 20 minutes after the wound debridement and then boric acid wet packing once a day. Both groups received comprehensive treatment and nursing measures of pressure ulcers.Pressure ulcer healing was observed for 30 days. Results The effective rate of the treatment group was 96.2% and that of the control group was 69.2%.Clinical effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant( x2 =4.837,P <0.05 ).The effect initiating time of the treatment group was lower than the control group [ ( 12.19 ± 6.40) d vs ( 19.36 ± 9.30) d],and the difference was statistically significant ( t =- 2.425,P < 0.05 ).Conclusions Helium neon laser irradiation combined with boric acid wet packing can promote wound healing of pressure ulcers in elder patients, shorten course of disease.

Morita therapy has been bom for more than 100 years.Inpatient Morita therapy is highly oper-able and easy to master. It can improve many refractory neuroses through four-stage treatment. But more neuroses are treated in outpatient clinics, and Morita therapy cannot be used in hospitalized patients. Therefore, the formula-tion of expert opinions on outpatient operations is particularly important. This paper is based on domestic and for-eign references, and after many discussions by domestic Morita therapy experts, and then drew up the first version of the expert opinions on operation of outpatient Morita therapy.Meanwhile the operation rule of Morita therapy in three stages of outpatient treatment was formulated:in the etiological analysis stage, under the theoretical guidance of Morita therapy, analyze the pathogenic factors,to improve treatment compliance and reduce resistance;during the operating stage, guide patients to engage in constructive and meaningful actions, realizing the achievement of letting nature take its course principle;in the cultivating character and enriching life stage, pay attention to positive infor-mation,expanding the scope and content of actions, improving the ability to adapt to complex life, and preventing recurrence caused by insufficient abilities. It will lay a foundation for the promotion of Morita therapy in domestic outpatient clinics,so that more patients with neurosis and other psychological diseases could receive characteristic Morita therapy treatment in outpatient clinics.
