OBJECTIVE To investigate the effects of 1,8-cineol on lung functions and mechanism in asthmatic guinea pigs. METHODS The guinea pig model was performed by intraperitoneal injection of the 0.5 ml Al(OH)_3 gel containing OVA 20 μg. The guinea pigs were constructed by immunization of intraperitoneal injection on the 0 day and the 7th day, and the experiment was performed on the 28th day. The effect of 1,8-cineol 10, 30 and 100 ml·kg~(-1) on the airway resistance(R_(aw)) and dynamic lung compliance (C_(dyn)) of asthmatic guinea pigs 1 h after challenge of OVA. The changes in leukocyte and different kinds of leukocyte in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) after the challenge of OVA have been studied. The levels of eosinophil cationic protein (ECP), interleukin(IL)-4, IL-8 and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α in lungs of guinea pigs were determined using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The changes in R_(aw) and C_(dyn) of asthmatic guinea pigs were investigated 17 h after challenge of OVA and inhalated methacholine (MCh). The changes in leukocyte and different kinds of leukocyte in BALF after the challenge of OVA have been studied. The levels of ECP, IL-4, IL-8 and TNF-α in lungs of guinea pigs were determined using ELISA. RESULTS 1,8-Cineol inhibited increase in R_(aw) and decrease in C_(dyn) from 1 to 30 min after challenge of OVA in model group. The levels of ECP, IL-4 and TNF-α in asthmatic model group were higher than those in normal control group(P<0.05). The levels of ECP, IL-4 and TNF-α of 1,8-cineol 100 mg·kg~(-1) group were significantly lower than those in asthmatic model group (P<0.01). The level of IL-8 of asthmatic model group didn't have any significant difference from that of control group. 1,8-Cineol 100 mg·kg~(-1) could significantly decrease the numbers of leukocyte and the percent of eosinophils in BALF. Seventeen hours after challenge of OVA, R_(aw) and C_(dyn) of asthmatic model group were higher than these of control group (P<0.05, P<0.01); 1,8-cineol 100 mg·kg~(-1) significantly inhibited the increase in R_(aw), compared with model group (P<0.05); 1,8-cineol 10, 30 and 100 mg·kg~(-1) improved the decrease in C_(dyn) after MCh-induced in model group which were challenged by OVA after 17 h; 1,8-cineol 100 mg·kg~(-1) could significantly decrease the numbers of leukocyte and the percent of neutrophils, the levels of ECP, IL-8 and TNF-α compared with asthmatic group. The level of IL-4 in asthmatic model group didn't have any significant difference from that in normal control group. CONCLUSION In the course of early stage of asthma, 1,8-cineol inhibites the asthma by decreasing the number of eosinophils and down-regulating the activity of EPO. In the course of later stage of asthma, 1,8-cineol inhibits or improves the aggravation and lasting states of asthma which is directly coursed by neutrophils accumulating in the BALF that related to the increase in IL-8.

Objective To investigate the correlation of self perceived burden, family cohesion and adaptability in advanced cancer patients. Methods The Chinese version self perceived burden scale (SPBS), Chinese version of family cohesion and Adaptability Scale (FACES-CV) were used to investigate 139 cases of patients with advanced cancer, and to analyze their correlation with family cohesion and adaptability compared with the norm. Results Patients' self perceived burden score (35.83 ± 5.59) points in the moderate level. The 3 dimensions of the item score from high to low was economic burden (4.12 ± 0.86), body burden (3.63 ± 0.53), emotional burden (3.49 ± 0.63); survey of patients with family cohesion and adaptability, intimacy score (67.96 ± 9.35) points, the ideal intimacy score (83.68 ± 6.05), satisfaction score (15.71 ± 9.39) points, were higher than the national norm, the actual adaptability score (48.00 ± 6.92) and ideal adaptability score (56.47 ± 4.99) points lower than the national norm, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01 or 0.05). Patients' self perceived burden score and intimacy was negatively correlated (r=-0.186, P<0.05), and positively correlated with intimacy satisfaction (r=0.175, P<0.05). Regression analysis, gender (B=0.236, P<0.01), family medical burden (B=0.183, P<0.05), actual family cohesion (B=-0.111, P<0.05) was the influencing factors of patients' self perceived burden. Conclusions The burden of self perception in advanced cancer patients is closely related to family cohesion and adaptability. It is suggested that the medical staff should pay attention to the family psychological intervention and provide emotional connection for the patients and their families, so as to reduce the negative emotion of the patients with advanced cancer.

Objective To understand the correlation between health beliefs and family environment of stroke patients. Methods A questionnaire survey was carried out on 115 stroke patients with the first onset of stroke by using the special health belief simple table (SF-HBMS) and the family environment scale (Chinese version FES-CV), and the correlation was analyzed. The scores of each subscale of the family environment were compared with the domestic norm. Results The total score of health belief (75.15 ± 10.20) was at the middle level. There were significant differences in age (F=8.41), education level (F=4.44), complications (F=4.05), family history (t=2.68) and first visit time (F=3.76) among different characteristics of health belief scores (P < 0.01 or 0.05). The score of intimacy (6.23 ± 1.27) in family environment, emotional expression score (5.30 ± 1.97), success score (5.88 ±1.62), cultural score (4.54 ± 2.20) and organizational score (5.60 ±1.67) were all lower than the domestic norm and spear. The score of shield score (3.16 ± 2.00) was higher than that of domestic norm (P<0.01 or 0.05), and the total score of health belief was positively correlated with family intimacy (r=0.190), emotional expression (r=0.204), culture (r=0.206) and tissue (r=0.227) (P<0.05), and was negatively correlated with the contradiction (r=-0.186, P<0.05); regression analysis, whether there were family history (β=0.338, P<0.01), first onset time (β=0.242, P<0.01), family intimacy (β=1.614, P<0.05), emotional expression (β=1.114, P<0.05) were the factors affecting the health belief level of first stroke patients. Conclusions The level of health belief is closely related to family environment. It is suggested that the clinical medical staff should pay attention to the negative emotion and family psychological intervention, provide psychological support for the patients and their families, promote the promotion of their health beliefs, and reduce the rate of recurrence and disability.

Background:
Classical swine fever virus (CSFV), the causative agent of classical swine fever (CFS), is a highly contagious disease that poses a serious threat to Chinese pig populations.
Objectives:
Many provinces of China, such as Shandong, Henan, Hebei, Heilongjiang, and Liaoning provinces, have reported epidemics of CSFV, while the references to the epidemic of CSFV in Yunnan province are rare. This study examined the epidemic characteristics of the CSFV in Yunnan province.
Methods:
In this study, 326 tissue samples were collected from different regions in Yunnan province from 2015 to 2021. A reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), sequences analysis, and phylogenetic analysis were performed for the pathogenic detection and analysis of these 326 clinical specimens.
Results:
Approximately 3.37% (11/326) of specimens tested positive for the CSFV by RTPCR, which is lower than that of other regions of China. Sequence analysis of the partial E2 sequences of eleven CSFV strains showed that they shared 89.0–100.0% nucleotide (nt) and 95.0–100.0% amino acid (aa) homology, respectively. Phylogenetic analysis showed that these novel isolates belonged to the subgenotypes 2.1c and 2.1d, with subgenotype 2.1c being predominant.
Conclusions
The CSFV was sporadic in China’s Yunnan province from 2015 to 2021. Both 2.1c and 2.1d subgenotypes were found in this region, but 2.1c was dominant.

Objective:To observe the characteristics of back scraping skin symptoms in sub-health people through diagnostic scraping, and explore the characteristics of back scraping skin symptoms in sub-health people with different constitutions. Methods:By adopting a cross-sectional study method, the Third Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine recruited volunteers through a combination of offline and online methods from March 2021 to September 2022. Totally 2 239 sub-health people were treated for TCM constitution identification and were diagnostic scraped with Wentong scraping cup. The differences of back scraping skin symptoms in the color, speed, amount, shape, nature of pain and feeling characteristics under scraping board were compared between sub-health people with different TCM constitutions and gentle constitution. Results:There were differences in the characteristics of Sha Xiang among sub-health individuals with different constitutions. Among them, 49.02% (351/716) of individuals with a gentle constitution had a bright red color, 90.64% (649/716) had a fast rate of appearance, 5.73% (41/716) had a large amount of sha, 3.35% (24/716) had a patchy shape, 3.35% (24/716) felt a stabbing pain, and 0 felt nodules under the scraping plate. Among individuals with a damp-heat constitution, 86.72% (457/527) had a bright red color, 95.64% (504/527) had a fast rate of appearance, 100.00% (527/527) had a large amount of sha, 88.80% (468/527) had a patchy shape, 95.64% (504/527) felt a stabbing pain and 97.72% (515/527) felt nodules under the scraping plate. There was a statistically significant difference between the two groups ( χ2 values were 11.27 to 1 243.00, all P<0.05). Conclusions:The characteristics of back scraping skin symptoms of sub-health people with different constitutions are different. It is expected that the type of TCM constitution of sub-health people can be judged according to the characteristics of scraping skin symptoms in the future, in order to guide patients in health management and improve their satisfaction with traditional Chinese medicine scraping treatment.
