Modern Clinical Nursing 2015;(4):58-61
Objective To explore the effect of four-color personality analysis (FPA) in teaching of neurology nursing. Methods Fifty-five student nurses of 3-year courses were assigned into the control group from June 2011 to May 2012 , and another 55 students from June 2012 to May 2013 into the experiment group. For the teaching of neurology nursing, the traditional teaching methodology was used in the control group and FPA teaching methodology in the experiment group. The two groups were compared in terms of their internship coping capacity and critical thinking ability before and after the nursing internship. The evaluation from them over teaching effectiveness was analyzed. Results The experiment group gained significantly higher scores on ability in solving problems, asking for help and rationalization than the control group did (P<0.05), and significantly lower scores on self-reproach (P<0.05) at the end of the internship. The experiment group gained significantly higher scores on critical thinking ability, confidence and knowledge learning than the controls did (P<0.05). The student nurses in the experiment group all believed that the four-color personality analysis helped them understand themselves, better their personality, make them a adapt to the clinical settings better, and enhance their ability in communication. Conclusion FPA applied in the teaching of neurology nursing can effectively improve coping capacity and critical thinking ability of student nurses, help them better their personality and be more adaptive to different clinical environment and tasks, and ultimately improve the teaching quality.

Journal of Central South University(Medical Sciences) 2010;35(3):254-261
Objective To observe the effect of valsartan on brian ultrastructure, Klotho gene and micro-inflammatory factor [intercellular adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1) and vascular cell adhesion molecule-l(VCAM-1)] expression in spontaneously hypertensive rat models. Methods Ten male spontaneously hypertensive rats of 22 weeks age were selected and randomly divided into a hypertension group and a valsartan intervention group, while another 5 Wistar-kyoto rats were set as a normal contrast group. The brain ultrastructure of the 2 groups was observed by electron microscope. The expression of micro-inflammatory factor (ICAM-1 and VCAM-1)and Klotho gene was detected with RT-PCR, immunohistochemistry, and Western blot, respectively. Results The cerebral neuron damage of spontaneously hypertensive rats whose ultrastructure showed cell-pyknosis, chromatin margination and typical apoptotic body formation were alleviated after the intervention of valsartan. RT-PCR showed that the gene expression of Klotho increased while ICAM-1 and VCAM-1 decreased after valsartan intervention. Immunohistochemistry and Western blot also showed that the protein expression of Klotho increased, while ICAM-1 and VCAM-1 decreased after valsartan intervention. ConclusionValsartan can improve the brain ultrastructure of spontaneously hypertensive rats by increasing the expression of Klotho.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2007;0(13):-
Many studies have been conducted at home and abroad about carotid artery stenting to treat carotid artery stenosis. However, it is limited by the complications such as perioperative ischemia. Carotid artery stenting with cerebral protection devices can omit the procedure to block blood flow and can know the treatment condition through angiography. The results of comprehensive data show that carotid artery stenting is an efficient treatment technique, and can reduce the biocompatible responses of the host. In addition, carotid artery stenting with cerebral protection devices is a safe and effective therapy for high-riskcarotid artery atherosclerotic stenosis in the elderly.
