Objective To make rehabilitation nursing signs and apply them in positioning of unaffected extremities among patients with hemiplegia.Methods Totally 49 stroke patients with hemiplegia were recruited in the control group from July 2013 to November 2014,and 52 stroke patients with hemiplegia were recruited in the experimental group from January 2015 to September 2015.Same treatment and rehabilitation nursing were provided to patients in two groups.For the experimental group,rehabilitation nursing signs were applied together with regular guidance and demonstration of positioning of unaffected extremities.For the control group,only regular guidance and demonstration of positioning of unaffected extremities were provided.Results For the experimental group,the compliance was 86.03％(4 026 of 4 680 times),the accuracy was 72.73％(2 928 of 4 026 times);for the control group,the compliance and accuracy were 58.10％ (2 562 of 4 410 times)and 50.94％ (1 305 of 2 562 times),respectively.In the experimental group,no new complication occurred,no existing complication deteriorated,10 cases of complications were alleviated.However,in the control group,two cases developed complications,two cases of existing complication deteriorated,and only four cases of complications were alleviated.Subjective attention from patients and their family members in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant.Conclusion For patients with hemiplegia,the rehabilitation nursing signs can significantly increase the compliance and accuracy of unaffected extremities positioning,and increase the attention from patients and their family members regarding unaffected extremities positioning in daily life.

Objective:To investigate the effect of high glucose on intracellular cholesterol content in rat glomerular mesangial cells and the underlying mechanism.Methods:Rat glomerular mesangial cells were cultured in vitro and divided into high glucose culture group (high glucose group, medium glucose concentration of 30 mmol/L) and normal glucose culture group (normal group, medium glucose concentration of 5.5 mmol/L). Lipid content was determined by oil red O staining and spectrophotometer colorimetry at 24, 36 and 48 h of culture. Intracellular protein imprinting was used to detect the expression of low density lipoprotein cholesterol receptor (LDLR) and adenosine triphosphate binding cassette A1 (ABCA1). Results:Oil red O staining showed that the intracellular lipid drops in the high glucose group were less than those in the normal group at 36 h, and there was no significant difference between the two groups at 24 h and 48 h of culture. The total cholesterol (TC) and cholesterol ester (CE) in glomerular mesangial cells of rats in the high glucose group were significantly lower than those in the normal group ( P=0.028, 0.029), while there was no significant difference in the free cholesterol (FC) between the two groups ( P=0.306). There was no significant difference in TC, CE and FC between the two groups at 24 and 48 h of culture (all P>0.05). The expression of LDLR in mesangial cells of rats in high glucose group was significantly lower than that in normal group at 24, 36 and 48 h of culture ( P=0.043, 0.004, 0.028), and the expression of ABCA1 was significantly higher than that in normal group at 24, 36 and 48 h of culture, ( P=0.050, 0.009, 0.006). Conclusions:High glucose may reduce intracellular cholesterol content in rat glomerular mesangial cells by reducing LDLR protein expression and increasing ABCA1 protein expression.

Some Chinese herbs and their extracts, such as rhubarb and triptolide, as well as some Chinese herbal prescriptions, such as astragalus-angelica mixture and Chailing decoction, not only could ameliorate proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis of renal cell by regulating cell signaling pathways, but also could control target gene transcription, expression and its biological effects through inhibiting the phosphorylation of key signaling molecules.

Objective:To measure the mesio-distal interradicular space of posterior teeth at different height by CBCT.Methods:60 subjects with skeletal Class Ⅰ,Ⅱ and Ⅲ patterns were included(n =20).From the distal of first premolar to the mesial of second molar,the mesiodistal width at the height of 2,4,6,8 and 10 mm from the alveolar crest were measured and analysed.Results:The interradicular distance was larger than 3 mm within 4-10 mm height in maxilla and in mandible.The maxillary mesiodistal width values measured between the first premolar and second premolar in skeletal Class Ⅰ and Class Ⅱ pattern was greater than that in Class Ⅲ(P ＜0.05) and there was no significant difference in other zones.In the mandible,the values of skeletal Class Ⅲ pattern were greater than those of skeletal Class Ⅰ and Class Ⅱ pattern(P ＜0.05).Conclusion:The suitable interradicular zone is within 4-8 mm to the alveolar crest between the second premolar and first molar for miniscrew implant placement in maxilla,and over 4 mm between the first molar and second molar in mandible.The difference of interradicular spaces in sagittal skeletal features is existed.

BACKGROUND:In recent years,with the rapid development of biomedicine,the study of brain aging and exosomes has attracted more and more attention,but there is no bibliometrics analysis in this field. OBJECTIVE:To objectively analyze domestic and foreign literature on brain aging and exosomes in the past 15 years,to summarize the research status,hot spots,and development trends in this field. METHODS:Using the core database of Web of Science as a search platform,we downloaded the literature on brain aging and exosomes published from the establishment of the database to December 28,2022,and analyzed the data from the aspects of country or region,institution,author,keywords,and co-cited literature using CiteSpace 6.1.R6 visualization software. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:A total of 1 045 research articles were included,and the number of publications on brain aging and exosomes research both domestically and internationally was showing an increasing trend year by year.The United States ranked first with 429 papers,and China ranked second with 277 papers.Louisiana State University ranked first with 16 articles.Professor Lukiw Walter J from Louisiana State University in the United States was the author with the highest number of publications,and Professor Bartel DP from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology was the author with the most citations.The most prolific Journal was the International Journal of Molecular Sciences.Alzheimer's disease,microRNA,gene expression,extracellular vesicles,exosomes,oxidative stress,and biomarkers are the most relevant terms.According to the research on hot topics,biomarkers have become a new research hotspot.The above results indicate that the research on brain aging and exosomes has gradually increased in the past 15 years.The research direction has gradually shifted from the initial exploration of the expression of miRNAs in central nervous system diseases related to brain aging to the search for biomarkers that can identify and diagnose neurodegenerative diseases.The study of exocrine miRNAs to protect central nervous system from damage has emerged as promising therapeutic strategy.
